I don't know why in Chennai they try and make dosas so thin. I prefer the slightly thicker Bangalore dosas which are crispy on the outside and spongy inside. This type of dosa soaks up the chutney or sambar much better and tastes better. Extra crispy dosa does not soak up any of the accompaniments.
