It's so strange to see this in modern video format. This is the type of interaction I had many years ago when I was just a late teenager. Except back then videos were grainy and compressed as hell, and we were playing on pentium 3s. It hits that nostalgia vibe hard and makes me want to relive it. I don't know how many of you have experienced it, but being a wow-obsessed teenager back in the day - the absolute insatiable joy and rush of playing, the elation of killing some hordie scum and the rage at dying to them while you're just trying to farm some NR gear mats...it's on a different level. Haven't felt anything like it since.
I always thought it was weird that in order to really get the most bang for your buck with a Nelf you'd have to die tons. Well I guess that guy showed us.

That kind of 1x1 obsession reminds me of private servers back in 2004-5 or something... low amount of players on the server, you basically knew everyone on both sides and it was easy to have friendly grudges with people you were pvping all day long lol (I played a bit o p servers before starting on classic servers - to be honest, early classic seemed not so different to this scenario I said lol). I used to play priest back then, didn't remember Shamans being so OP. I played enhanc shaman on BC and loved it. Nice vid bro.

If I had to pick the class that gives me the biggest challenge, it's naxx geared warriors with mortal strike. I still almost always beat them, but sometimes its a photo finish lol. Other than that, a soul link warlock using a felhunter. I will just run away, they resist literally everything. 😜
Farming magic dust, it’s the only zone it drops in and sells for a lot on horde side. And I always use flametongue, it’s more consistent damage and causes double caster pushback with the melee.

Against a hunter, I drop grounding totems to negate ice traps. It has you covered from 30 yards away, but I always drop one when I assume I am about to get scatter/trapped or if I see a trap on the ground. Or sometimes I drop poison cleansing totems...they are actually cheaper on mana that manual cleansing.

He needs to use a scorpion-pet so viper sting actually can a get chance to drain mana, level his engineering to counter your grenades with his own grenades. Oh yeah and gear. He needs that as well. Preferably a nice ranged weapon and max level bullets or arrows instead of the level 40 ones.

I've never played hardecore, and don't plan to. But I'm going to say there are probably better choices than shaman for HC. I think rogue or hunter are probably the better choices, seems like abilities that get you out of combat would be the ideal.

It can totally be done without engineering, just kill them with lightning shield. Engineering just saves time. I doubt enhancement has a chance, not a big enough mana pool.

I don’t have any points in enhancement, meaning the cast to ghost wolf takes as long as mounting…and when he reapplies mana drain, I would have to leave ghost wolf to cleanse it…in other words, it would be pointless.

Also, I don't think he hates you - probably just saw a worthy adversary and wanted to try to get at least one W - doesn't look like it happened though.
Warriors with mortal strike and Nax Weapons put up a hell of a fight. The only borderline impossible fight is a soul link warlock that is using a felhunter. I can kill soul link warlocks if they are using any other pet, but felhunter gives them so much spell resistance they resist almost everything I do.
do you not have 1sec cast ghost wolf in this spec? assuming you went ele and resto no ehnc, one of the nice things about raid spec is hunters and lots of pvp is easy, can outheal them, ns after trap aim, and ghost wolf to them xD
This is a pretty impossible matchup for a Hunter, there's not a whole lot you can do beyond kiting for eternity and maybe abusing Engineering CDs. It definitely looks worse than it is, the Hunter isn't bad.
Hunter wins this if played much differently and not a lot shaman can do about it besides 1 shot the hunter with helm or dust. If the hunter plays it way more patient and uses traps to reset drink and eat shaman eventually whittles down
It’s how wow classic grenades work. I believe they have to be inside the circle when the grenade cast bar finishes, despite where they are when the grenade finally makes it to the target. It takes a lot of practice, but I am up to about an 85% success rate lol.
