Intonation, dynamics, overall technique, and most importantly of all, you are so into the whole basis of the music, that 110 year-old struggle which Edward was presenting, at war with life's intractable circumstances, with the music, with your cello, while in the next breath, glorious acceptance and relief, as you make beautiful love to it all, to life, a la du Pre.
