It looks Gorgeous and i love the layout Plus it's cheaper than those "premium" arcade sticks. This one is literally a definitive arcade stick users for Tekken
I honestly need to order from ISTMall at some point. Especially with the Etokki Omni just kind of becoming unavailable. I think it's really impressive how IST manages to have tiers of prebuilt customizable sticks too. That Makestick Mini is basically a full collar K lever qanba drone, the Pro comps to the older Hori RAP 2/3 series, the Pro Crystal honestly reminds me of the old Tek Innovations cases and even has the magnetic hinged easy access door on the version D variants and now discontinued version B variants. Then top of the range that Prime model legit feels like a Dragon/VLX feature set in a more like Rap 4 to Obsidian sizing and weight. The only K lever setup I've ever used that felt more premium than the makestick prime was someone I know had an AFS steel case with the 35mm hole, but also that build was like over $400 USD and I could get a prebuilt makestick prime optioned the same way for like $100 cheaper. Honestly if they could find a way to just get some prebuilts with like Myoungshin Fantas and Sanwa buttons stocked in the US on a website so I didn't have to do international shipping, I'd probably already own at least one if not two of the makestick range. Thanks a lot for putting up this video, not a lot of people cover the Makestick range on youtube really, especially not in english.
It would be nice to have more sticks out there for K-Levers other than modding or having to get custom built enclosures. Etokki just sort of going away is unfortunate since I did want to try out one of their sticks one day. You can buy a Myoungshin Fanta and Sanwa buttons from ArcadeShock in the US, but you'd have to end up modding or getting a custom enclosure, but at least there wouldn't be all the international import fees. But the MakeStick Prime being around is good since it's a really solid premade stick and accommodates Korean and Japanese levers. Also thanks, glad the video was insightful, and thank you for adding your own input as well.
I actually found it in the fightstick reddit’s Discord. I did a message search and someone had posted a Google Drive link. I’m sure you could also email them or message them on social media for the template as well. Also don’t forget to hide the layer with the layout before submitting it.
7:15 "Adjustment Period" I hear ya Brother! I had to adjust the other way before. :) sone game losses that wouldnt have happened if not for fighting Muscle Memory, right? 😂😅😂
I know i keep leaving comments.😅 This Review was amazing, relaxing, HIGHLY informative! the attention to finer details like sound especially the down input was really wonderful. Thank you. Reminded me of when my Father and I were looking for a nice Chess Set for his new chess table. We ended up buying 1 piece from a variety of sets. Then met up one afternoon and just sat there. Picking them up, checking weight, balance, and... how it sounded / felt to set the piece down. (we take our chess seriously) hehe. Point is, fine details matter! I really Loved this review and will now look into your channel! Thank you for posting it. I just got my hands on Fightcade, and plugged in my Street Fighter 15th Anniversary Arcade Stick. To my horror (but no surprise) the most used buttons are... well, used. 😢 I hadn't used it in a couple years... but i remembered the buttons wearing out from lots and lots of use after plugging it back in! So im looking to get a more, modern stick. Thanks Again! :)
No worries, I appreciate all the feedback and I'm glad you're really enjoying the content. I have a new video coming out later today that has more sound tests in it so stay on the look out!
When ordering there are two layout options shown which are noir and Viewlix. But I believe if no option is selected, then you get the layout shown in the video.
Thanks, I put the art together using art from a few different artists, so it’s not a readily available file. But here are the artists’ Twitter handles: AiShou__, JuaagAcgy, click_burgundy, KornArt3, and Michemashu55. The one at the top left does not use Twitter, but there name is hifarry on ArtStation.
That’s just how this layout comes. Spaced layout definitely feels weird if you swap from stick to stick. Otherwise you should be fine if you’re not swapping so often. Also for some, the spaced layout helps to avoid shoulders getting cramped.
@@ChronoAscension yup! thats actually what I prefer and the only reason why I don’t want to sell my Qanba Titan. I love how far apart the Buttons are from the lever. I’ve been emailing ISTMall back & forth, bcoz they do not know which layout (Viewlix or Noir)has the buttons & lever farther apart from each other. even pictures on reddit are different when it comes to the distance of the buttons from the lever.
@@damonlove8 From what I can see, their default layout (the sort of diagonal one) and their CrossUp style ones have the furthest spacing between the lever and the buttons. For the Viewlix and Noir layouts they're much closer, the lever and the buttons. Between the Viewlix and Noir layouts though their doesn't seem to be too much of a difference in distances, so at that point I'd just be focused on button layout preference.
I believe that this is their viewlix layout so if you order it with the viewlix layout, it will come like this. You could also email them if you wanted to make sure.
hi! the yo-o / saulabi layout seen here is the default layout and is what's shipped if you don't pick the vewlix or noir layout option from the dropdown menu. also, since i'm here, this is a well-made video that's done a good job selling the makestick prime to me. thanks for uploading your review on yt!
Have you tested the fight stick on ps5, have you had any issues with it since? Another question I have is, would it be best to get an official or an unofficial arcade stick, sorry for the questions - I really want to get one but since I am new to this I’m very afraid on what to get for PS5 and PC
I haven’t tested the MakeStick on the PS5 yet as I have to borrow a PS5 for when I do testing. Brook did have issues with their Xbox boards, but I haven’t seen anyone have any issues with the PS5 boards. These use the Brook P5 Plus boards for PS5 compatibility (for PS5 fighting games, not all PS5 games). Also, the MakeStick arcade sticks are used by pro players, especially in the Tekken tournament scene which uses PS5s so you shouldn’t worry about it. If you’re still worried about it, or you want to use your arcade stick in other PS5 games aside from fighting games, then you could go with the Hori Alpha which has licensed PS5 support and isn’t as expensive as some of the other licensed options. Oh and if anyone tells you to “upgrade” the default Hori parts to Sanwa parts, there’s really no need to as Hori parts are of good quality and it’s up to preference, just many people like to blindly recommend Sanwa.
This was sent to me and I didn’t go through the order process as normal. But on the ordering page they have the Viewlix and Noir layout, but someone commented that if you do not select one of those two options, they will give you this layout.
The lever I got is the IST Alpha 49S. It’s not the default option so keep that in mind. But when you go to order it, you have the choice of which lever you want with the default being the Myoungshin Fanta.
their website barely functions idk how you were able to order anything. Horrible website would never order from them unless i was in korea or wherever these come from broken links, broken urls, the stick option you have i dont even see…
A Korean is watching this vid to get information about the controller before buying, lol. Nice details!
U and me both… Koreans unite….

1:05 Add a Phreakmods Link EX-Groove to the stick so that you can detach the stick, and reattach it as needed for travel.
If you order it with a Sanwa lever then this is a good suggestion, but the mod does not work for Korean levers like the one I have.
Great review
I'm planning on ordering this stick at some point. For the artwork they added, is it a skin-sticker or is the art behind a plexi?
The art comes underneath the plexi.
got the link to the reina art?
Perfect timing with upload, where did you find artwork template, want to create custom one to send them.

1:31 it says "made in Korea" Did you ask the maker to do so? Good one. Is s/he Korean or from Korea?
This arcade stick is made by the company ISTMall, and they are from Korea.
@@ChronoAscension Oh I think the word confused you. I mean, the phrase of the customized image that looks like what the illustrator worked.
Oh I put the art together using different art I found online. The text on the right side says Reina Mishima.
Sorry if I missed this in the vid, but what layout did you choose for the stick?
When ordering there are two layout options shown which are noir and Viewlix. But I believe if no option is selected, then you get the layout shown in the video.
@ Yo thanks man, because I noticed yours has the wide gap between the lever and the buttons compared to others sticks
Does this have dual PCBs as an option? I'd want the Retro Board with the PS5+ or the fusion. Depending on how it works, it might be the GP 2040-CE.
I don’t think so, you would most likely have to set that up yourself.
Where can I get this Reina artwork!? It's looked dope af ❤

Is it possible to have a detachable korean lever 🤔
There are options out there that have this feature, also some parts you can buy to mod it although I’m not sure how well they do so.
