Kanami was the composer with feedback from The Warning. She wanted to write a song different from what either band normally does. Being the sweet. demure sadist that she is, she made Dany and Saiki sing in a higher register than they usually do.They worked together remotely by email and Zoom but the final form was thrashed out in face-to-face meetings in Tokyo. The Warning's vlog about their trip shows some of that. The Warning showed up about two weeks before the joint concert. That bass ending is a call-out to the Warning song "Survive" which has a bass ending. I believe for the actual studio recording Pau used Akane's drum kit. Besides the vlog, Dany and Kanami were interviewed by PRS Guitars Japan YT channel. They are talking about doing another collab and a joint concert in Mexico where Band-Maid has played before. Dany is threatening to make Band-Maid learn a song in Spanish. Misa said she cried when Ale left Japan. There is a huge language barrier but these bands really like each other.
Walter, check out the vlog posted on The Warning RUclips channel. You get a glimpse of the songwriting process - they had exchanged the song basics but they finished it together when the Villarreal sisters came to Tokyo for 2 weeks in early June. A very cool look at their time together. Yes, both bands are deserving of respect and admiration. I love them both.
They first performed this song together live on stage in Japan. The Warning Vlog show all eight of them in the same room working on the song, the fun, respect and affection for one another very evident. The two bassist Misa and Ale became very close. You can see the affection in this video when both Saiki and Kanami are just all smiles with their moment with Dany, like big sisters proud of their younger sisters. Misa’s bass outro is a tribute to Ale’s bass outro in TW’s Survive. The Warning have invited Band-Maid to perform with them in Mexico and will teach them to sing in Spanish.
Thank you for your reaction. I have only heard about some odd things where people somehow set the bands against each other, when they actually are friends and both very creative. I find that very odd, same with some Band Maid vs Lovebites ideas that some people seem to get into their heads - just because my musical journey happens to be with Band Maid doesn't mean I can't love other music. Btw. I can't see that you have reacted to the MV for Influencer by Band Maid. Have fun! :)
The two introverts are BFFs now. Ale and Misa talk all the time. This was a great collaboration, for sisters separated by an ocean, to get together and play together. TWA and Maidiacs are an unstoppable combination for bringing rock to the world! ❤️⚡🤘🕊️🤘
It is indeed absurd that you must be a fan of one or the other. I've never understood that attitude; personally I love them both. Apparently, they had been discussing this collab on-line long before they met up in Japan ten days before the initial show. Kanami had created the general tune, and while _The Warning_ were there in person, they polished it up - some English grammar issues and other details, then filmed a video for it. It was apparently agreed that this would be a _Band Maid_ song, although it was specifically crafted to allow either band to play it independently on their tours should they choose - the music and vocals are easily within the range of both groups. They both had a wonderful time in Japan meeting and working with each other, and it just cemented their friendship even closer. I fully expect another collab to come, at least once - perhaps more. _The Warning_ issued an open invitation to _Band Maid_ to meet up and develop another tune (maybe even in Spanish, which would be awesome) the next time schedules permit. But I think the whole idea that they are fast friends with each other should put to rest the ridiculous "conflict". As far as I'm concerned, there is no "conflict"... especially to us who listen/watch their art. Absolutely no reason you can't enjoy them both equally, as well as anyone else you choose to!!
The Warning and Band Maud met at a festival here in the States. They were very excited to meet each other. There's a short video of that meeting available. Fast forward and TW goes to Japan to collaborate with BM. They do a joint concert, and they create this video. I was fortunate enough to be at that concert and see them do this song live! Their affection and resoect fir each other was obvious. There was no competing. They were celebrating each other's talent as each played their part in the song. I hope they release the live version soon. The Wsrning created a vlog of their time with Band Maid. Here's the link. I'd love to see you react to it. ruclips.net/video/G-EuJYUUe5E/видео.htmlsi=mK-5OmWkLA9uAQ4q
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo where they live debuted this song Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!
W I N !!!!! 🎀 W I N !!!⚡I think we can just say, at their level, Band-Maid and The Warning are equal peers at the very top of the "Rock" pile. I’ve watched “Show Them” 50 times now and still haven’t been able to drop my eyes down to the lyrics.🤘😂 Thx, Walt! Btw -- I was just thinking: Band-Maid and The Warning, two very different bands, found something that would bring them together -- music! If only the people of the world could find something that would bring them together. I know... if peace and prosperity isn't enough, how about uniting for the very survival of our species! 🤔
I've never taken any kind of poll or anything, but my feeling from my associations with The Warning Army is that well over 70% of TWA are also fans of Band-Maid. I also think that before this collaboration, there was less crossover among the Maidiacs (though there was a good bit). I think that has changed a lot since this happened, though. Also, there was a BTS video TW released on their YT channel that reveals a lot more about the mutual respect they share and just how much fun they had pulling off this musical miracle of eight world class rockers playing a song together. I think Misa's bass solo at the end is an homage to Ale's bass solo at the end of TW's "Survive". If you look closely during the group performance you will see what was also observable during the live performance of this song live in Tokyo. Both bands were playing together, entirely except for the parts where the bass, drums, guitars, and even vocals were showcasing each one's skills. It was a celebration not a competition, and that is what makes it cool. Is this my favorite song? No, but I think it's cool and fun to watch. I also think it serves its purpose of widening each band's fanbase and exposing more people to each band.
They all got along really well. Apparently Misa and Ale really got on well; Misa even posted photos and such on her instagram. There were tears when they all had to part ways till next time. From a comment in the PRS interview there may be some other songs coming.
Walter! Good to see you back! Nah, the real Maidiacs and TW Army are Besties! Welcome back! New album in 7 days! 🕊️⚡ BTW, the Warning have released some behind the scenes vids of their time in Tokyo, one of which details their BandMaid experience in the studio and live joint concert.
So glad to see you back my friend. I love the exposure it gives to both bands. Japanese hard rock is quite diffetent and not really my thing, but I do not deny their INSANE technical abilities and passion. We've heard a rumor that they might collab again, with TW writing the next song. Can't wait!
Listening to Saiki and Daniella you could actually swap singers very hard to notice the difference this is so strange as does not happen. We know Band Maid play fast and on it with their own songs yet the voices match how? I think there is a connection there from two different countries its 8 billion to one chance Amazing.
Well if you listen clearly the main bass is actually Ale because she uses her fingers five string for runs but the slap top end bass is Misa who is up there with the top five bass players in the world. Ale is just in the top 20 female bass players. As Carol Kaye is the benchmark for female and men bass playing.
It is absurd and ridiculous to say that you need to choose one band over the other. Too many reactors pick this song apart by stating that one person or band is louder or playing more of a part than the other. These ladies are members of two bands who admire each other, have become friends, and decided to make a song for their fans to enjoy. I thoroughly enjoyed it and wish that even if a person doesn't like the song that they would stop the competition BS. There is no need for it.
I don't see anything wrong with pointing out the reason behind what I did and didn't like about the song. It's better than just saying -"oh it's great or oh it sucked ". It's when they are being pitted against each other or saying one is more talented than the other - where I have an issue. I don't love everything about this song, but I'm sure glad they did it. It's great exposure for both fan bases. Girl power!!
I agree. I want to hear what the reactor specifically liked and or disliked about the song. However, treating it like a competition is not necessary. Walterooski started to go down that road but decided against it, which I think was a great choice, and I did like his reaction to the song. There are a few things in the song that could have been better to my ears, but it was overall a very good and fun song.
Side note about the drumming styles. Akane used to be more animated and forceful, and also was described as The Muppets Animal style. Then she hurt her back and decided to use more "proper" techniques for her health.
Agreed. And Pau has very much changed her technique to not have "animal arms" every song either. She wouldn't have any shoulder cuffs left by the age of 30 of not. Two very smart, efficient drummers

During their live performance together in Tokyo, both drummers played together in sync for most of the song except the breakdown “duels”. 👍😎
I'm a fanatic The Warning fan but i love Band Maid also... different view and different vibes of excellent rock&roll!

Not a Battle of the Bands...not even a collaboration...it is the birth of a supergroup.
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo where they live debuted this song

Excellent my friend... excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This colab actually brought all the fans together..🔥
The two bands are friends of each, and fans.

Yes, Misa's bass solo at the end WAS an homage to Ale's solo at the end of Survive. It's the same notes, just differrnt rhythm ❤
They all got along really well. Apparently Misa and Ale really got on well; Misa even posted photos and such on her instagram. There were tears when they all had to part ways till next time. From a comment in the PRS interview there may be some other songs coming.
I love both and i think they’re the two best bands on the planet, but I also think there’s a clear #1 and #2.
Also, I want more of this.
There is a video on how the two bands wrote and sang this song it is on RUclips.

👍👍An awesome collaboration between 2 amazing bands. Great performance. 🖖❤
I absolutely love both bands. Nobody gets to tell me what bands I should like or dislike.
Aweome, so much talent!
And this is not a confrontation, this is a mirror. The song is about the path of female groups in music.
Very catchy song, stucking in your head! It's clearly written by Band Maid with some aid from The Warning! "with" and not "and"... clear, no?

There's a lot of us who don't have those lines. Gate keepers aren't the majority 😉 of us
You got a subscribe just for comparing Pau to the Muppets’ Animal. Nearly a spit-take. Love it!
MISA!!! MISA!!! MISA!!! 🥃🥃🥃
Welcome to the "Pigeon Hole"! Here's a guide to everything BAND-MAID: www.youtube.com/@Ohrenje

Go deep in The Warning rabbit hole and you'll not regret !
welcome back. you have some catching up to do.
👏
Love them both. now add Freeze The Fall.
Your thumbnail is hilarious!
The rhythm guitar solo after the Duo intruments feature. :) Most folks don't say anything about it. Miku-chan doesn't need a rival. :P~
Thanks for pointing that out! I never noticed it! I haven't dived(dove?) xeep into bandmaid, but Miku had been my favorite so far.
@@lauriep2018 Miku has one also in the Ptotect You MV. It’s after Kanami’s guitar solo.

You should check out TW new album Keep Me Fed. It's over the top amazing!
No way you came back right as I discovered you!

It's a battle of tone VS technique with a pigeon in the middle!
I like them both but the song isn't any good, that's the problem. Each band individually probably has 30 or 40 songs that are better than this one.
Great song, narrator is a bit of a gas bag, a bit annoying actually.
It’s a reaction channel friend, if you don’t want to listen to his reaction then just go give the official video another view.
