Watched your videos during lockdown. Really enjoy your advice and humour! Long may you continue to make videos. I'm a "mature" pleasure fisherman and your enthusiasm has got me looking forward to more pleasurable days on the bank
Top fishing mate, as always! Cant get enough of you videos, any friends that want to get into the sport, I send them straight to your RUclips account! Crack on mate, looking forward to your next video! Thankyou!
great video as always. im sure Bear Grylls would have filtered some pond water using some gravel and his socks then made a bread and sweetcorn soup in an emergency coffee spilling situation.
Hi Graham i found your channel last night the 1 where you go walking in the woods and cook the pancake and banana , the wife and myself sat watching the accompanying music that you used was wonderful . The bast video we had both and sat watching togther , so many thanks for that . I have been working my way through your back catalog , and there all excellent videos , so thank you for that . I subscribed to your channel straight away . I used to be a very keen fly fisherman but bad heath as stopped me from doing any fishing so watching your videos brings back so many happy memories to the wife and my self. a great video and some great tips in this video as per usual , thanks a lot mate keep these wonderful videos a coming . Thanks ( Ivan )
Graeme I fished The snake a few times so after watching you video next time I went fishing on the snake I went nice and light for a fun fishing but low and behold yes it happened got into a 8 pound common carp took awhile but I got it in
Hi, just wanted to say I’ve been watching your videos and I went fishing today for the first time since I was a kid and I caught 7 carp! Love your videos
Was down filming in Somerset yesterday..epic day on the Avon rod and 13 foot match rod..nothing into double figures but Bream,Tench,Roach,Skimmers and of course...the Carp.
@@TAFishing Great !! can't wait to see that one Graeme !! i love these videos pure and simple fishing plus some cracking fish.caught along the way. . Been following you since the Stealthcroft days circa 2009 !! Legend. Cheers Nick
Jealousy.....they spend 15k --20k on all the latest gear and catch f**k all , they see this guy fishing on a cheap budget with 2nd hand tackle ( and catching ) and they dont like it.
Hi Graham, I recently inquired here as to what pegs are good. I mentioned that I had never really tried pole fishing but had bought one to try and wanted an idea as to where to try. The answer was; All are swims are good. Your video has told me so much more, thankyou and please dont stop what you are doing. From Smith to boat maintenance and everything in between you make great content, you remind me of my father.👍
Been watching your videos for the last 2 year's, and its got me back into course fishing! You should make your way over to Dorset, there's some hidden diamonds fishing wise!
i so wished every now and then you would go fishing and enjoy yourself for the likes of us who know how to fish, and in a big lake not just a pond, we think your great mate but for us who know how to fish this is crazy, we love watching you mate maybe you should start another channel for the likes of folk who know how to fish.
Hi enjoying your videos. Have you thought of adding towels to your merchandise as it would be a good addition to someone's tackle box. By adding an eyelet or a very long cord to one edge people would be able to tie it around themselves or to things.
Graeme if you have two ball bearings does that mean you have balls that clank. Hahaha. Love the vids and thank you for providing us with great entertainment in everything you do.
Its very long and narrow. Think of a canal that is curved. Its called the "Snake" for a reason and has dozens of swims. I was just fishing a short section of it. Probably looks small from the camera angle.
Graeme have you heard about the “great white” that’s been spotted out of Plymouth harbour attacking 2 seals in recent days? Get out there after it shouldn’t take long with raptor oil 😅 your the man for it... it’s time for a new British record 👍🏻
I never heard of braided hook lengths for match fishing before ? How low in breaking strains do the make braid ? It must be as thin as hair. Anyone know ?
TA, first guy i thought off, got a question bud. Have you ever used "tapered fishing line?" Can't find many reviews for this. I got myself a multiplier reel with line guide and being told not to use a shock leader as it will lead to problems. Would you have any thoughts towards good quality tapered line? Thanks bud.
You can buy tapered shock leaders but occasionally the leader/mainline knot will hang up in a tip ring resulting in a birds nest of line. I just use 50lb braid straight through at present ,but even that is no perfect in rocky conditions.
@@TAFishing You're the second person that uses 50lb braid. I'm not a fan of braid for your reason. My reel comes with a line feed/guide, I'll be removing that first. Some people say they don't allow the shock leader to wrap around the reel, i think this is pointless as the lesser lb line can snap with a heavier weight on. Thanks for your reply bud. I think I'll roll with 10 -15 lb main and 25 - 40 lb shock and see how i get on with it.
At 33:43 you are showing your rig, with luncheon meat. I would like to ask - did they change the rules there ? Last time I checked it was not allowed to use it as a hook bait (quote from their own website): "Ground baits, Luncheon meat and other tinned meats, High oil pellets, glugs and other dips, Nuts etc are not allowed at Pondwood. Leave them in your car or better still at home."
Graham I watch all you're videos and you float fish more coarse fishing. Maybe worth having a go using a sliding knot style rig (2 beeds and swiveled split link with a knot) on the line to change the depth. It's so quick, easy and doesn't damage the line with split shot plus changing floats are easy too. Worth a look in the nights buddy. Tight lines and keep up the good work 👌👍
Another fantastic video. I think the rule says; no braided line or hook lengths. I'm pretty sure it's referring to not using braided hook lengths rather than not using hook lengths at all. Poorly written to be honest.
Never been inclined to get into match fishing as it seems a way of introducing unnecessary tension into a relaxing pastime. As you say though, a great pond for kids to have a go in.
Who knows, the jury is out over barbless v barbed. I personally don't worry,it just means a tiny barb, but check with each fishery you go to,they all have different rules.
Fisherman, no water proof food bag. Sounds like the government.right now ...... I personally wouldn't be advertising two small ball bearings at this time...... )P
That's because some people doesn't deserve to fish and should be banned for life . In commercial fisheries I've witnessed in many occasions casuals with Catfish tackle pulling fish on a jet ski. Mind boggling.
Its a long piece of water.Called the "snake" it has dozens of pegs.I was fishing in just one of them. Narrow and long would describe it better. Like a sort of canal with curves if that helps.
There are of course plenty of other species ,and there is the saltwater shore fishing in the UK..now there's a challenge to stimulate the brain. A challenge that could last a lifetime, and all wild fish.
It’s got 2 ball bearings so have I lmao 😂
😂 😂 Quality
Top man
Top sport
This man is amazing at what he does
13 ft and 2 ball bearings.
I nearly choked on my ravioli 🤣
Wish I had someone like u to fishing with I love fishing but still don’t have a clue what I’m. Doing
What kind of ravioli

Another great Vlog Graham, an inspiration for us (shall we say) older Vlogers. Keep them coming, and stay safe, but active.
As always excellent video, full of tips for people of all ages. Despite the aircraft noise it still looks like a nice venue. Thanks for posting.
Exellent vid as always, your films have really helped inspire me to get out again after the lockdown and to help my mental health. Keep up the work 👍
Seems I have been able to help quite a few people through tough times, and that's what its all about...More films to come.
Your so funny Graeme and very entertaining hope to see your vids for many years to come my friend
As always love it and with the c word we don't speak of much needed it's coming back around sad times for all but thank you for your vids mate
At my advanced age, that is what I call comfortable enjoyable angling without getting out of ones chair....10/10, GP.
couldnt agree more !!!

Great vid greame
Why do ppl have to dislike these videos? Sad people.

Glad to be of help.I always say it often takes just one basic tip to turn your fishing day around.
Great vid mate. i fish the snake lake nearly every week with my grandad. great fun loads of fish. hope to see you on the bank one day. tight lines

Those two chunks at the end smelt your bacon n eggs Graham the greedy little sods! 😉👍
Great session! Keep it up, love watching your vids!! And make sure you bring some extra water ya pillock! Haha

Clark
great vid graham as usual couldnt help but notice the air traffic was really pissing you off lol
White Waltham Airfield is less than 2 miles away from the fishery. It's a major centre for flying lessons. It's also on the flightpath for Heathrow.
'Epic Graham' 😀😀😀 where's Smith. 🙏😂😂❤️✌️😎
thats real fishing

Nice
Two ball bearings, "So have I" LOL
Those size carp would make excellent catfish bait, well for cats here in the states, probably make good Wels catfish bait too..?!!
But of course everything is bigger in the US !!
ITS LIKE FISHING A PUDDLE
Its very long and narrow. Think of a canal that is curved. Its called the "Snake" for a reason and has dozens of swims. I was just fishing a short section of it. Probably looks small from the camera angle.

Strangely enough I just got back from chopping up a load of trout heads and freezing it down for chum .
I'm amazed you haven't added a rear rod rest to the arm of that old chair Grahame...
Great video When's a carping one coming out?
MW for medium wave right? ;)
great video! When you put that hot pan ontop of your tackle box :O did it melt?
It's braided line and braided hooklengths that aren't allowed, as with many match waters. Normal hooklengths are fine :D
I never heard of braided hook lengths for match fishing before ? How low in breaking strains do the make braid ? It must be as thin as hair. Anyone know ?
You should get a keep net Graham
Got about 6...never used them for years.
It’ll be cool if you did an episode to see how much you catch in total. Thanks for the great videos.
I thought that there is only one rod aloud on centre lake ?
What do you need to fish for beginners
About £200
Great vid GP... what hook bait did you use to catch those two big carp on the float?
I think it was bread...I have caught more Carp on bread the last two years than any other bait.
Great channel - if you get a chance can you do a video of bait presentation for course baits please.
graeme you have to get out in the yellow boat mate
How did you do your fishing wheelbarrow Graeme
Where's "THE CHAIR" ? Great stuff Graeme!
👍👍🎣

Why no loose feed?
Where did you get the white fishing rod
Nomura is the name of the maker.Should be available from a tackle shop but they may have to order it.
F1 are a crucian carp hybrid with common carp

Took a day on the canal blanked and Got bloody soaked does it get worse?
Could have fallen in ?
Herds of wildebeest could have ploughed through your swim
First comment. Tight lines 👍🏻
When did you get a trolley???? Are you going to the dark side?
NEVER.!!!! Its all Mike's gear..I don't have all the Carp stuff so I just use his.
New SUB
F1 has returned this weekend
You going to get involved with the tournament? You would beat them all!!
No,I have zero interest in competition fishing...I have enough competition just trying to catch the fish.

Like 👍👍👍..
Never been inclined to get into match fishing as it seems a way of introducing unnecessary tension into a relaxing pastime.
As you say though, a great pond for kids to have a go in.
I accidentally bought micro barbed hooks, what does this mean are they still harmful for the fish even being 'micro' barbed.
Who knows, the jury is out over barbless v barbed. I personally don't worry,it just means a tiny barb, but check with each fishery you go to,they all have different rules.
Lake made for pole fishing with pellets ide guess
Great video nice looking place don't forget to oil your balls (bearings) 😂😂
Fisherman, no water proof food bag. Sounds like the government.right now ...... I personally wouldn't be advertising two small ball bearings at this time...... )P
My girlfriend said you look and sound like Bruce Forsythe
Hi Graeme,
You always make me laugh with your Reel reviews. Just as well you don't work for a tackle company. Ha Ha.
Steve in Fife.
Im 4 days late :(
I was there yesterday I wish I saw you
Was there any dead fish?
Great video as always, shame that these heavily fished lakes are full of fish with deformed mouths but that's unavoidable i guess.
That's because some people doesn't deserve to fish and should be banned for life . In commercial fisheries I've witnessed in many occasions casuals with Catfish tackle pulling fish on a jet ski. Mind boggling.
Ease up with amount of adds fella.. just getting into your show and bam, another poxy }#%*]?* ad.. and don't blame smith for them ;)
Mabel does all the admin !!!
