I can print it for you.) 4- To build the mold, I used foamed PVC 3mm + transparents hobby glue to seal the mold. 5- Moss. 6- Epoxy resin is best used for deep pouring. 7- Transparent dyes for epoxy resin. I used emerald and sapphire - mix. - After removing the resin from the mold, grinding with sandpaper from 60 to 220 from 220 to 7000 water sandpaper. 8- Water sandpaper (220,320,420,500,600,800,1000,1200,1500,2000,2500,3000,4000,5000,7000) This is the worst part of the work :) 9- Acetone + Polishing paste for resins - After sanding, clean with acetone and use polishing paste for resins. 10- For lighting, you can buy a ready-made usb led base and put it in your base. You will need a soldering iron for this.

I like the wooden dowel idea to access the leds if need to. The angle of the lighting is nice too. Gives it a subterranean effect. Great job. When the warm weather comes back I think I'll use your concept. Thanks for sharing...

Hey. Thanks for the comment. You have to wait for the resin to gel so that it is dense and holds the figurine When it is in the gel you can add another layer or wait for it to dry completely, but then the bonding of the resin layers will be more visible

It will be better I buy wood from my friends in Poland :) This is Robinia pseudoacacia. Remember that the wood for resin must be dry. I buy wood from a vacuum dryer.

Hi. Thanks! :) Sorry for the delay in replying. From what I remember, about 0.7 liters of resin went into it. Not much, because the lamp was also small. The price of resin depends on the quality. Good resin costs about $20 per liter. When you buy more, you pay less. I think the cost of such a lamp - resin + wood, lighting, sandpaper - is around $40. I sold it for $350, if I remember correctly. You can find a resin calculator on the Internet. when you enter the surface you need to pour, it will calculate how much you need. Remember that the wood must be very dry, with 8 to 12% humidity
Nice. I have made streight epoxy coasters etc from cilicone molds. I have been doing this for 6 months so I understand epoxy pretty well. I started using a wo9d lathe for about 2 months now. My goal is 59 8nco40erate wood into epoxy for bowls, lamps etc. Does the wo9d have to be sealed to prevent air from the wood making bubbles as the epoxy is setting. If so what do you seal the wood with?
