Okay, what i need to know is what kind of witchcraft you had to do to be able to input angles like that without needing to spin it all the way around counter-clockwise
Hi, when I try to make a tooth, it doesn't connect properly to the circle and I haven't found a solution to this problem, do you know how do I solve this, please? I use Autocad 2023. Thanks
Pretty late reply, but are your lines overlapping? That can cause issues with the join command. To avoid this, you'll need to define the circle via the circumference of the pitch diameter (the circle in the middle of the gear, where the teeth make contact.) The circumference should be the tooth width at the pitch diameter, muliplied by twice your number of teeth (so if you have a gear with 17 10mm wide gears, your circumference should be 340mm). As far as i know, you can't directly draw a circle by defining the circumference, but you can open the properties and redifine it there. If you are only drawing a gear representatively without the need for perfect proportions, you can also get rid of overlapping lines via the "overkill" command, which should allow you to join the segments into a polyline
I have a problem with the presspull command. whenever I pull the surface with the 6 small circles, the small circles don't make "holes" like when you do it.
Hello, I am having trouble with the Polar Array. Every time I try to use it, every one besides the first on has a very small gap which makes it so I cannot extrude the object
@@CADinblack I used to draw the profiles all the time in order to check the involute on a comparator. We made super abrasive grinding wheels. Try it if you want a real cool challenge 😀
Pls I'm having issues with presspull, if I want, for example, presspull 5m up and 5m down it keeps presspulling upward even when I set the direction downward . Pls how do I fix that.
Hi +boma peaceful ! That's regarding the movement you do with the pointer. If you want to presspull downwards, move the pointer down until you see the preview on the other direction. Then, you can type the value.
Can you tell me what are the minimum system specifications to install autocad! Does the system have to have high quality graphics card to run the latest version of the software?
Please check them out on the website. These are for Autocad 2022. knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-requirements-for-AutoCAD-2022-without-specialized-toolsets.html
I found this REALLY helpful, but one problem is that, they still didnt add Array command on Mobile, not even in IOS. So I had to switch devices while watching this tutorial
Very nice class.👍👍👍
Thank you! You saved me $100. This video helped me design and print my own follow focus gear replacement for my camera :)
Great video... so easy to follow!!!!
Thanks for making a .DWG file to accompany the exercise! Nice job!
thanks for watching Brad. I am glad you like it!
@@CADinblack kindly accept the request sir
@bradblazoff5607 could you please send me the .dwg file
Thank you fot this video tutorial i learned more about autocad very nive...
You are welcome Randy!
Thank you so much for this!! ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent bro,
Good job. Have a good day
Thanks a lot Shiv. I wish the same for you!

Next gear, we must do with using involute profiles. Now there’s a challenge 😀
Hello Doug. Glad do read from you again! That's a good suggestion. Actually that will be more a matter of geometry than CAD. ;) Let's see.

no issue there, until you have to design the small or big one and transferred it from the base.

use always Shortcut command , it will easy to explain to beginner..okay
This is not a involute profile
In a isometric drawing, how do we determine the directions of the ellipses in representing cylindrical or circular shapes?
useless, followed the instructions and could not presspull it at all
