Funny how i played nfs mw 2012 like last month and cannot remember a single blacklist member while mw 2005 that I played in 2007 and I still remember all blacklist and their cars
Mw 2012 had a blacklist ? I remember buying it on Origin, but I got bored of it before I started racing. That whole "find a random car on the street" thing made me lose interest fast.
@@edvin97ful It's just the same thing as searching barnyard in Horizon, the game even give you an area highlight in your map, MW2012 gives you an approximate location of a car by listening to the car audio and your controller vibrating, it's not that hard
I can't believe he didn't mention the ungodly good soundtrack. That was half my love for the game because all of it was really, catchy and bouncy, and felt perfect for racing regardless of the genre.
That is true. I enjoyed NFS 2015 and Most Wanted 2012, but they are not able to overcome the original Most Wanted. I have build a PC with parts from 2002 recently, and now I play Most Wanted on it. Modern games like The Crew 2 are nothing compared to this old classic.
i personally just really enjoyed need for speed most wanted 2012. even though it didn't have the story, i never really played a racing game for the story. but that's just my personal opinion, I can see why people in general love the story from the older game.

I came to know that they did some dialogue by themselves And Razor dialogues were like 60% not scripted , it was by him That's why you feel why Razor is like a true villan You can search for it
What makes MW so addictive,is the career mode with the ''Blacklist''.It keeps you motivated to beat the next ''Blacklist'' guy or girl, take his/her car and then move to the next until you get to Razor and win your BMW back.It gets more and more challenging, but there's no difficulty spike and you also unlock new cars and parts.yes, you have to actually unlock them, there's no lootboxes or microtransactions. Also, the cop chases are very well done.
Terrown umm you sure it isn’t the fact that when you reset you are actually going back to a older save? Aka going back to when your heat was lower already
i was playing for some days again with mods (redux) and lots of new cars , just started to search videos like this to have nostalgia of someone breaking game in details. i keep paying heat and then when i want a real pursuit i get in MW and now with cop mods that go up to heat 10 its like again 2005. i was 7 8 yrs old and played it on my cousins comp when was the era and still now we both play it sometimes
You should absolutely take the time you need to get a video just right. Taking the time to play the ports was definitely worth it, and I thought it was the most amusing part of the video. I would much rather wait an extra week for the sake of quality.
Out of curiosity, how long did you actually spend on each of those? I honestly can't imagine how anyone played the DS version for more than a few minutes when it released, let alone today.
Well look at the frequency of your posts. You're not posting daily or weekly, so we shouldn't be expecting your vids to be ready at a given notice. As long as you can maintain this level, you can take a week extra if needed. Keep up the good work, post when its ready.
Yhea, I am trying to replicate my own record of 24 hours of pursuit and that WITHOUT the highway circuit tricks. Because thats how it went last time I tried to escape but couldn't.
The "Conclusion" segment really brought back memories. As he was talking about it, I was getting flashbacks of what was like back then, how life was, but mostly how much I was enjoying this game. Really got nostalgic. A well done review sir.
Forenzyx I wish he had mentioned tuning the car in u2 and most wanted it had a step back like when back in time you could change engine performance in different revs in u2 but in mw you can only change few things
Still the best Need For Speed to this day. Hell, I'd wager it's the best real-world racing game of all time. Just everything about this game - the music, the mechanics, the feel, the blacklist, the heat system, the car choice... Crazy how if I feel like playing a good NFS game, I have to turn on my PS2. How the great have fallen.
Ben Farrell+ Hot Pursuit (2010 360) was my first and then Most wanted 2012 I liked those. I had the GBA version too with Ms. Pac Man Maze Maddness. I miss the old days. Funny thing is it wasn't so long ago... I feel old.
I very recently played through this game and since I'm in quarantine, I plowed through it quickly. This game was one of my favourites titles as a child. I remember it taking months to complete and it was hard and unforgiving. I remember the pure excitement to unlock the Murciélago (pronounced mursi-yEHlaggo by the way) as a 10 year old. I realised how easy this game is as an adult and I wonder if people that weren't 10 in 2005 thought the same as I did now? After beating Ming and hopefully getting his Gallardo, the game is piece of cake from that moment. That car is way too good for being unlocked after half the game progress. The funny part is that it is fully maximised (only nitrous isn't ultimate iirc) and most ultimate parts need Ronnie to be defeated in order to unlock them (blacklist member #3). The rubberbanding is ridicilous. It is most noticeable when you play with a fully upgrades McLaren SLR and next to you is an Audi A3 and it outdrives you without any issue. On the other hand, once you get a hold of how the game works and how to drive efficiently, it's almost impossible to lose. And while the tollbooth and speedtrap races are insanely easy, the dragrace is so unforgiving it's laughable. I sometimes retried the same race 15 - 20 times before giving up and choosing another race instead. The police chases are as thrilling and fun as I remembered them. The feeling of getting millions of bounty after a hectic chase is great. Though, spending 15+ minutes on a crazy pursuit and getting busted for some ridicilous reason and therefore lose all your bounty is pretty annoying. That is the pinnacle of wasted time. Once I reached a certain amount of time played in pursuit, I avoided roadblocks because of the pure disappointment I'd feel if I crashed into a car but got flipped upside down instead and being forced to reset my car and getting busted. After a couple of failed attempts and wasted time, I installed a trainer just to be able to turn on "no busted" in extreme cases. The fact that resetting your car means busted instantly is the biggest flaw of this game in my opinion. It fulfills zero to me and is solely really annoying if anything. I never cared about the game's repeating pattern. The races are fun and so is the pursuit. I still think the graphics are good and I could feel the excitement inside of me while being chased by 10+ police Corvettes and Rhino SUVs. The soundtrack is great and memorable. I like how all vehicles can be fully upgraded. In theory, you can beat the game with the first car you purchase (which might be possible anyway due to rubberbanding?), unlike Carbon for example that categorises each car in a certain tier. Since some upgrade parts are unlocked after beating a specific blacklist member, and some cars only have one upgrade, you're forced to drive the car stock for a longer time than you might think. I bought the Viper as soon as I upgraded it, just to realise almost all upgrade parts needed 2 more blacklist members beaten in order to upgrade them. That means you cannot change the performance settings at all which is also a little frustrating. In conclusion, the game is great and I had a really good time playing it. I will play through Carbon now!
It's a high risk, high rewards system; the bigger your bounty is, the harder the cops will be. The game is already gracious enough to not take away your car immediately after every arrest, it definitely could've been worse. I couldn't imagine it being done any other way that would still be as challenging and as high risk as it is. Your Viper situation is spot on. What I feel like they should do is to lock away just the highest tier parts off from us, so that we can actually feel like a new unlock is immediately usable the moment we unlocked it (the moment we're most hyped about it). The way they're doing it here just gives players the "aww, maannn" feeling.
After some flip, you have to wait for game tself to rest you. That way, you won't got arrested after reset. But you have to get reset by game, not yourself
"When you're busted in most wanted you're done" *lets be real how many people here shut off the game with a save before hand so they would have no repercussions lol*
Yagami Raïto you don't understand, do you? the M3 in the game is an M3 GTR Race Car. "Race car", meaning it's built to be driven around race tracks. It's not meant for public roads, nor is it available for sale to the general public.
Andre Klebleyev yeah obviously, I'm subbed to you and watch your video's within the hour you upload them, in the end the amount of money you make off RUclips you would've payed off the car, so literally you spent nothing on it.
@@MstangMch4 you can stay on the ledge of the ramp / catwalk (whatever you wanna call it" and the 5-0 can't reach you, aka sit there for bout an hour and tons of free bounty 😌
The Vengeful 'Vadam Yah dude. I beat the game like 3 times. Hell, I still have it with my original PS2. But I haven't turned it on in more than a year... *Walks to PS2*
Sun Levi it is significantly better. The new need for speed games are basically reskinned versions of burnout as far as I can tell.. Doesn't do justice to either franchise.. EA went and ruined both imo
Yeah, as much as I like the new NFS's I hate how much they've burnout-ified them to the point where it feels like a different series. It's why I don't like them developing for racing games nowadays as I stopped liking burnout a while ago.
This game is actually the best open world racing game ever made in my opinion. And i have played a lot. The thrill of the chases haven't been matched since. The new Nfs games are pretty much Burnout ripoffs, wich really doesn't work for the franchise.
I think the repetitiveness of Most Wanted 2005 is why I preferred Carbon since it was a quicker with better customization options but still had the option of police chases if the player wanted to do so.
1:25 - 1:50 the transition you did and the way you showed off nfs most wanted made me literally put my phone down, pop in NFS MW and got into a pursuit with the M3 GTR, while blaring that song. This will forever be the top dog in my opinion
I use to ask if I could get out of the car every 15 minutes while playing these games with my cousins. They hated playing with me, but I was child, that only ever played gta. I didn't know any better.
The other way around was neat: Our first family PC came with Midtown Madness 2, an early open world racing game, so in the years that followed, I could play 3D GTA games and my parents (who were very much caught up in the violent videogame hysteria of the time) thought they were just racing games.
Harles Bently I mean remaster the OG the 2005 one either like the crash remaster or like a Spyro remaster like one of those remasters from scratch with new next gen graphics. To remember the childhood at it finest!
Buzz Lightyear Buzzing Hard those are remakes. Which that MW game was. Ground up remake with an added highway. Im sorry but not all remakes are going to be perfect. But its been done already.
Sadly, it misses some of the cool early features like the skill tree and triggering chases in free roam, it's a later version of the build, but still enjoyable
Same and I have the GameCube version, DS version, Black Edition and normal release for PC. I need the 360 copy tho since the game is at an upgraded experience with visuals and graphical enhancements.
I played the really old hot pursuits as a kid and quit after underground, which NFS games are still decent to play and worth playing for the first time in 2020?
its about how the only reason why rog is helping you is because razor stole rogs mustang from the pre-release of nfsmw. because of this he has the gto, and razor has his black mustang. then he takes your m3, and since rog had the same thing happen to him, he helps you get your m3 back.
It's amazing watching your videos now compared to a year ago, and seeing just how much more research, dedication, and your editing skills have vastly improved. Can't wait for the next one (Which, I imagine, you'll have some "initiative" to get pretty in-depth with). Also holy crap, 30:55 had me in stitches.
Here's a cool touch I doubt many people would know. At 22:12 when Razor is holding up a key. It's actually a BMW key of the proper vintage (early 2000s) I drive a 3 series like Razor and see that key every day so I'm sure of it.

Sure, but Ray has essentially spent an entire work week or longer listening to the same built-in playlist on repeat to make this video, I can't imagine such a light criticism coming out of my mouth for something I would have likely muted due to boredom and repetition long before the half way point.
Ministry wasn't featured in MW, it was in Underground 2. MW had Celldweller (One Good Reason, Shapeshifter), Static-X (Skinnyman), Mastodon (Blood And Thunder), Bullet for My Valentine (Hand of Blood), Avenged Sevenfold (Blinded In Chains), and Disturbed (Decadence). I'd say it's a pretty kickass fucking soundtrack dude. Dunno why he would call it mediocre metal.
@@hallienastareal5027 wrong! Hello from Europe, Latvia. I bet I know more US metal bands than few native USA citizens.....................................
@Maikel RetroGamer Np, the problem for me was its consistency, at one moment the rubberbanding was pretty normal (they catch up but they stay behind you), but in other occasions it was exaggerated, and the rival just fly past you and you would never be able to catch them. For me that was the problem
@@testdrivefan1 I remember that once i completed the game i decided to do the NFS World Run at the hardest diffuculty with my favourite ride, i struggled a bit to stay in front, only to get my victory denied by a Carrera GT while i was going at 296 Km/h in the last straight even tho he was like 6.7 s behind

It was interesting to hear you talk about the setting, soundtrack and the "identity" of a game. NFS Prostreet was the game that resonated with me for the longest time and i couldn't figure out why. Gamplay was average, customisation was ok but nothing groundbreaking. Then it hit me, it was the "identity" that i liked so much. Playing as a street racer that is trying to "go pro" and become the best. the styling, soundtrack and choice of street and race tracks made it feel like you were going from street racer to pro racer. i really liked that.
Pretty sure EA put the Need for Speed franchise on hold after Payback. It didn't sell very good and there was another consumer uproar about, you guess it, microtransactions and lootboxes. I wouldn't hold my breath for a new one any time soon.
Criterion was actually working on making a most wanted 2 direct story from where most wanted left but EA told them hurry it up or your budget is cut. You can find it on RUclips, leaks of MW2.
This may be a small thing to add on, but what really did it for me in the cop chases was the soundtrack. Sure the bounty goals can get monotonous... but that's where the music helps out. The way the fast tempo tunes mix that adrenaline pumping hip hop harmonized with the dramatic daunting bursts from the trumpets and synthesizers just sold the chase scenes for me. The enticement making you want to continue the chase and see how long you can hold the pursuit, while the ever growing lengths the cops are willing to go telling you to end it soon makes a good balance of danger and thrill.
It's too easy and too linear, not much to it. Lotta people prefer games with a real open world and not just highways on highways. Not to mention lack of car customization even after the remaster

Need For Speed: Most Wanted [2005] is the best street racing game ever.

The game actually has a rage quit punishment. If you Alt+F4 your heat level will reset / decrease

Radhinka Bagaskara They aren't ports though. They are independent, seperately developed games.
You should absolutely take the time you need to get a video just right. Taking the time to play the ports was definitely worth it, and I thought it was the most amusing part of the video. I would much rather wait an extra week for the sake of quality.

The xbox 360 version is the best ( not saying that all the other versions are bad )
18:12 oh man...I didn't know I needed to hear you say skeet before this but I'm glad it happened.
Thank you Tony soprano, I loved you in the godfather
Im not invested enough in your life to real all that.
Actually regardless of whatever context or topic: My ADHD brain is not reading that.

The intros you make for your video are insane, especially this one. The way Shapeshifter by Celldweller and Styles of Beyond plays while we see the M3 GTR racing away from the cops is so cool. Your editing and animating is of really high quality, best gaming channel I’ve come across in years!
I remember playing Blacklist edition back like 4 years ago or so on my OG Xbox (not 360). Good times.
Loved the Chevy SS Comaro at the end of the game ;)
Aaah yes, "Yellow: The Game"
Gone in 60 Seconds movie
Alternative title - motion blur: the game
that only applies to the PC version
@@TorutheRedFox No I have the original PS2 copy and it's pretty yellow. That's just how EA designed the screen and aesthetic for this game.
Alternatively, with the game files you can easily turn the yellow filter off. Without further modding it actually looks worse lmao
I still say “Dead space, 10 years later” would be great. It’s actual anniversary is October 13 so you’ve got some time to revisit, study, and script. All I’m saying.
Seems like it could fit a Halloween theme too.
Philly Daize check out mandalore gaming, he did videos on each dead space in a really similar format to ray
Shaun Palmer thanks mate, but it didn’t have that distinctly Raycevick shine.
rngwrldngnr yet another reason he should make it
Also, watch Game Maker's Toolkit video on it.
Esp. that end quote
Most Wanted, San Andreas , God Of War 2 and Resident Evil 4 literally defined my childhood and shaped my personality and music taste. I still have vivid memories of me playing them after all these years, It seems like only yesterday.. Video Games used to be so powerful.
In my opinion, even after all these years, Most Wanted 2005 still holds up.
Your channel stands for quality and quality takes it‘s time. I think I speak for a majority of your subscribers, if I say that we don‘t mind waiting a bit longer for a video. The quality is more than worth it!
Keep up your great work, greetings from Germany!
Playing as a street racer that is trying to "go pro" and become the best. the styling, soundtrack and choice of street and race tracks made it feel like you were going from street racer to pro racer. i really liked that.
it was basically a Forza Horizon without the open world.
One thing i remember in this game is "Nice pinstripes"
This game is Legendary, the customisation on the car was off the roof !
And the Music ! the OST is amazing
Underground2 had more customization
the only letdown is there was no honda or nissan cars in this game
True
@@Vladd0r it was insanely huge

Oh please, NFSU2, Carbon, and pretty much most modern NFS games blow it out of the window
Its such a shame that the new games cant come even close to MW and Carbon 😒
Dobiy8HD Gamer agreed. Even the underground series even tho it was only 2 games in the series.
It's because today's gamers demand more reality in racing and action games which deteriorates the fun which all of us need
NFS used to be kinda "simcade" to some extent leading more towards arcade
Now it's just supercars drifting in some desert
Carbon was the beginning of the downfall
Good lord all the Celldweller in old games
A beautiful thing isn't it
5:40 "cutted"
Top-notch education right there bois
Pretty sure EA put the Need for Speed franchise on hold after Payback. It didn't sell very good and there was another consumer uproar about, you guess it, microtransactions and lootboxes.
I wouldn't hold my breath for a new one any time soon.
VelociFaptor
Really? Nfs is on hold?
If so, what they reap is what they sow.
Classic EA if we can't money grab it then you don't get it
VelociFaptor yup
They did not..Payback sould adequately. The next game will be revealed soon.
Criterion was actually working on making a most wanted 2 direct story from where most wanted left but EA told them hurry it up or your budget is cut. You can find it on RUclips, leaks of MW2.
Advocate you mean carbon
That makes no sense, Carbon is the direct sequel to Most Wanted 2005.
You can't see it anymore, thanks to Electronical Assholes.
SuperDrinkingPepsi I really hate EA.
Advocate It wasnt continuation it was meant to follow its style.
This guy put all these footages together. Brings back memories. Thanks for the hard work
This may be a small thing to add on, but what really did it for me in the cop chases was the soundtrack.
Why does it feel like nobody but me loves Hot Pursuit 2010? It's so pretty and it felt amazing. shallow yes but mechanically amazing
It's too easy and too linear, not much to it. Lotta people prefer games with a real open world and not just highways on highways. Not to mention lack of car customization even after the remaster
simple answer, the fanbase of HP2010 is chill, compared to the loud and annoying MW05 fanbase
