My charging port flap got loose after a few weeks. I now tape it shut. Still a good flashlight. Love that it can run for a long time at 800 lumens without thermal stepdown.
Not to be to rude or lower the tone to much, BUT Who the fuck dislikes this? What a triffid!!! Charles you do some of if not the best light reviews on RUclips keep up the great work Sir!
Yes there are some haters who dislike my videos. That's ok though because little do they know I get view counts which help my ad revenue. Thanks for the support and watching!
Just ordered this light off of their website. $99 list got a Veterans discount dropped it to $74 total out the door. They also offer first time buyers a 20% discount but you can’t stack them. Nice customer service rep. Was considering an Olite but not crazy about proprietary magnetic charging and special battery. USB C was difference for me! They recommend not to buy from Amazon as there are significant risk of fakes. I have a Daniel Defense hoped to multi task Dog walk and shooting but they don’t have mount very pleased with my purchase.....God Bless America
This light is the current runtime king. I have found no other USB rechargeable, 1 x 21700 light that can do 800 lumens for almost 6 hours, that is superb efficiency. The mode spacing is also excellent. The only things this light needs to be very close to being perfect for me is a hidden 1 lumen moonlight mode, and a tactical mode you can access where it turns the tail switch to straight turbo. I hope Fenix includes those in perhaps a V2 update of this light in the future.
This record of duration is because this model has both a timer and thermoregulation. After a while* which is at 800 lumens it drops to 500 lumens that's why it lasts almost 6 hours *(I don't remember, maybe after 20 minutes) I agree with your observation, if it had a sixth light level of 1 lumens and a 5000K tint this flashlight would be the coolest Fenix ever.
the 26650 has a very similar capacity to the 21700. 18650's are on their way out, but 26650's are going to be around for awhile....unless of course companies that make batteries decide to put more development into 21700's instead.
My biggest complaint about owning this flashlight for about 2 years is it has burned a hole into the pocket of every pair of pants I own 😂. That's my fault of course because I forget to turn it down but when I forget and I sit down with it clipped to my jean pocket the power button gets hit and that damn usb-c cover will not stay down anymore. I don't know if that effects the water resistance but it's also annoying also as you said the grip you can get on it is limited. My hands tends to sweat in high stress environments and at those points it does not feel secure in my hand. Besides that though it's an amazingly powerful light. Especially for it's size.
I was using this a few hours ago. This a real flashlight unlike many others that thermal throttle to 400 lumens after a few minutes. Hope to find a leather holster to replace the cheap one tho
I have a pd36r Flashlight. I would to know, how to change the spare rubber button in this light? Because in the package is included the spare rubber button, but the Flashlight has not the tail switch cap. Thank you.
I just bought a Fenix Bc26r(1600 Lumens) bike light, it has a Luminus SST-40 And I have another Magicshine Allty1000(1000 Lumens) light that has a CREE XP-L V6, Do you know how efficient it is compared to this one? In terms of light output, efficiency, performance, etc, which one is better and why?
does the side switch rattle when you swipe it up and down (not push it) . ordered one, just opened it, the side switch has very little play when you try to move it from side to side or up to down. is this normal?
@charles bridg tec hey charles! I am planning to purchase pocket flashlight but much among confused between Fenix & Nitecore. Plz suggest which company is best and which model would remain best
@@CharlesBridgTec what about nitecore New P12 for domestic use? Will its light be sufficent on high (not turbo) mood as it fell down from 1200 lumens on turbo mode to some 300+ lumens on high mode? Do you think its light on high mood is sufficient?

Actually you can request a new rubber port grommet from Fenix. They will send you one free. Thanks for watching!
@@CharlesBridgTec Good to know- thank you!
I think its worth mentioning this is one of the only lights out there that can charge C2C, so I can use my laptop charger for it

I was about to look this up. Thanks!
This is my first "high output" light, and I actually think the holster is well made, but very tight. Thanks for a great review, my friend.

I'm eye ING this one!

Been a nitecore fan ever since but after reading a couple of reviews specifically about this model, i think im gonna try out Fenix.

I use it every day up to 10 - 15 minutes with 30 lumens for a 2 years and I have been charging it three times

One more flashlight with 21700.
I think 21700 is the replacement of 18650 and 26650

with lights this shape, I prefer to put them into the holster the other way. that way the clip can be part of the thing holding it in there. 14:57

What’s the run time on 1600 before it steps down ? And what does it step down to?
About 4 minutes in cool weather. It steps down to 800 lumes until battery is drained. Thanks for watching!
Charles BridgTec thank you!
I have a pd36r Flashlight. I would to know, how to change the spare rubber button in this light? Because in the package is included the spare rubber button, but the Flashlight has not the tail switch cap. Thank you.
You will need a set of ring pliers to unscrew retaining ring on the tail cap. Thanks for watching!
Nice review. What's the lens made of?
Tampered Glass. Thanks for watching!
You can deftly tell the holster is cheap. The other con is the light will run hot where the pd35 will not. A tradeoff with 600 Lumen?
Thanks for watching!
Can you read the max beam shot so we won't have to paste of the screen to know the max beam distance...?
I did. Thanks for watching!
cant decide this and the p32 v2

Great review, would you go this flashlight or the Nitecore MH12S?
Both are great lights but the Nitecore has better throw. Thanks for watching!
Any idea how many recharge cycles that battery can go through before it looses life?
