In the 80's Adrian was my guitar hero. I forgot about him and realized then realized legends don''t die. EVH and Yngwie eclipsed the 80's but Adrian Vandenberg was equally amazing in creativity and skill.
Loved how Adrian and David were face to face after adrians solo smiling at each other. Just like old times. Would love to see Adrian and Rudy back with whitesnake. Even Vivian temporarily while Leppard took a break would kick ass.
Vandenberg has a distinct sound. You hear the solo and you instantly know it's him.

I love his solo albums and his albums with David Lee Roth 👍😀❤️🎸. Vivian Campbell’s work with Def Leppard and solo album is excellent too

I was at this show , like many other times at 013..guys , get over his "voice" or "Sykes" just get a beer , enjoy the live show, I never could imagine still seeing them live at age of 50 ! One of the perks of the Dutch shows is having Adje on stage again , embrace it !
The camera work almost proved too much for my eyes . . . . . . almost shut it down. Wow, Vandenburg sure makes a Les Paul look puny. What a powerhouse of guitar players ! ! ! ! !
I got to see them in 87 when Still of the Night was brand new. All these years later? Still one if my favorite songs ever, along with Slow n Easy and Slide it in. These guys are amazing!!!!

Great great GREAT to see Adrian back for a set. I also like that Reb took over the lead guitar role when Doug left. But.......Joel can outplay all these guys. He is an incredible musician!

Joel is fantastic and a real showman....played with the TransSiberian Orchestra...Dude has creds for sure!Reb is a classic metal guitarist who has an awesome resume with Dokken, Alice Cooper, Winger as well as Whitesnake...Both have incredible skill and style which I think offers Whitesnake a lot of versatility!
Yeah, Reb killed that shit. That solo sounded cleaner than the original on the album which was recorded very low. He's awesome. Didn't know that was him. All great guitarists tho.
Reb was and still is a much better player technically than Adrian and Doug...He was a session player before Winger. His chops are tight!
@@Dan_Dearborn No, and No. Reb is great at what he does, but Reb would be the first to tell you you're wrong. There are videos where Reb says he developed his two handed tapping style to cover up for not being able to do the super fast picking runs. And there's also video of Reb and Doug "cutting heads", and Reb doesn't hide that Doug is better.

Why isn't that Whitesnake always have extra-ordinary guitarists on its line up from the past to present. This is unfair..haha..I mean the new ones are as goods as the old members. Joel and Reb are as equally masterful as Steve and Adrian. Love to see Adrian again! Just WOW!

@@456or7strings Adrian is the best guitarist Whitesnake EVER had, and that is including the mighty Steve Vai, who, unfortunately is mainly chops and technique with almost no Soul or melody. Whereas someone like Adrian, Rhoads or Schenker combine stunning technique with taste and melodic inventiveness.

Adrian couldnt play on the Album as he damaged his wrist badly that year, He also disbanned his side project band that year or else he would have been.
Reb Beach is so underrated. Have seen him with Dokken, Winger and of course Whitesnake! Also loved Vandenberg the Band!!

9:32 This passage is 100% guitarist Jon Sykes creation. He's not on stage, but these 3 legend guitarists bring it to life. Whitesanke may be Coverdale in name, but Whitesnake wouldn't be the legend without Sykes musicallity.
IMO, I better like Sykes vocal version of it too. Regardless, if I had living legends. Adrian, Reb, and Joel play my song it would be the ultimate compliment, and they do it well. Both Vandenberg and Hoekstra played the solos perfect.

I wish Coverdale make amends with John Sykes and Micky Moody. He seems to be in good terms with former Whitesnake members like Marsden, Aldridge and Vandenberg.

Shouldn't David Coverdale play the part of Lucifer on a throne in some scary movie at this point in his career? When he makes all those attempts at sexy faces, he just looks old and really creepy now. His voice is fairly beat up these days too. Poor Adrian Vandenberg, he really looks like he'd like to be back in the spot light, but Coverdale needs fresh young blood in the band too distract from his 800 year old vampire looks. If anyone made a deal with the devil to make it in Rock'n'roll on that stage, who do you think it would be?

@@annelieTM , awwwww, did I hurt your feelings? Is he your idol darling? I'm so sorry for pointing out the ravages of time marching forward, which by the way "baby cakes" happens to all of us. But your going to have to convince people like Bernie Marsden, and Mickey Mooney, John Sykes, Rudy Sarzo, Vivian Campbell, and even Adrian Vandenberg that Davis Coverdale is actually a nice person, and not a self centered narcissist who promised these people proper compensation for their immense talents and song writing skills, only to give them the shaft. Not in a nice way either, David couldn't bring himself to have a face to face discussion, oh no, he'd just leave them in the wind by not answering the phone, hire new musicians and go off and tour the world, hoping the problems would go away. Or at least that's what he hoped, and he made sure his lawyers were well retained to take care of any problems.
You know what, David Coverdale deserves this little bit of harmless poking, he's earned it.
Vandenberg walks on stage. Reb Beach is intimidated, Joel Hoekstra is at ease.
Because Joel is a monster guitarist. Reb is great in his own right, but he's not on the same level as Joel or Adrian when it comes to straight technical ability. His songwriting is way better though.

Everyone says he's like Sykes, but he's not, he's just fast, he's missing something, feeling maybe, don't know how to explain, but I hear Sykes and I know it's him, he's unmistakable, with Reb it happens to me exactly the same, it doesn't matter where I hear it, I know it's him, he has his own style is special. Doug has never liked me for Whitesnake, the music he makes doesn't sound like whitesnake to me, he is good but not for Whitesnake.

Uhmmm....I never saw this video. I'm Dutch so Adrian is Adje for me. But I saw Reb Beach here playing with Adje, but also Joel Hoekstra, on the left playing the black LP Custom. Joel Hoekstra belongs most certainly on the list of Sykes, vd Berg and Beach.

Really weird and a bit of dissapointing that in the solo of still of the night the camera didn't show Joel who actually played the lead part.....
We try to film the solo's, but sometimes it's not possible because the view is blocked, something different or interesting is happening or because of the distance in relation to the slow zoom of the cam. Forgot why we didn't film the solo in this case.
