- School life can be hard enough without the added anxiety of dealing with daily bullying. I went through years of bullying simply because I was a little bit different.
In this video I try to put some closure on that chapter of my life and show that the bully and the one who was bullied can come to peace.

The point of the video is to show bully's aren't bad, I was a bully for a while when I was really young and I never knew what I was doing, I was only trying to fit in and get everyone to like me and be cool, if you're being bullied, you shouldn't pay evil for evil, but evil with good, bake your bully cookies and love them, I'm now friends with 2 of my highschool bullies and it's great, life goes on

Carter Ameny They did. His family countered that "it wasn't that bad" and that my neck injury was temporary. We were given money for medical bills but later on we realized my neck would never fully heal and I was having spasms and issues using my hands still.

My Childhood Bully actually called me a few years ago and he said: "From the bottom of my heart: I´m sorry. I know that I made you feel terrible in those years and that I was really bad person. I know that now and I´m really sorry. I hope you can forgive me!". It was actually a pretty cool moment. We talked a bit and I can say now: We will never be friends but at least: If I would met him on the street: we would talk for a bit. And thats nice.

I remember people bullying me in the past. They never apologized to me and am glad I am not in touch with them. I have held grudges and do not ever want to hear from hem or see them again. Some of these people could be dead now. If I make an appearance somewhere and people are going to be critical and judge me for whatever move I made, might as well stay home and keep to myself.

He started to feel bad by the end of the call, which means he started to question his role in the experience and to take some responsibility, so that's a start. The important thing is to recognise that life is not static, and we don't have to accept things as they are, or have been, and to question and to stand up to bullying or abuse of any kind. I think this phone call, and both persons' insights, helped to spread that message, so all for the good.

I found out who my childhood bully was and I single handedly broke up his marriage after 10 years in the slowest, most satisfying process ever without them ever knowing it was me. As they say whatever goes around comes around, and i couldve done more but i feel my justice has been served.🙏

I'd been to so many schools way back when and got bullied for the most random things. It was also unfortunate that one of the guys who I thought was a really cool guy hung around with those losers. He and I recently reconnected over a year ago as he was visiting for a convention that just happened to be nearby where I live and we got to catch up and talk. He was genuinely sorry for the way he and his friends were back then. He even said he liked me as a person even in school.
This just goes to show that even our old schoolyard bullies are people too, and that they can actually grow up.
I applaud you Riyadh for showing your subscribers that schoolyard bullies can grow out of their childish ways and be nice people as adults.

Here in 2018 & can say i suffered my whole primary/high school years with verbal & physical abuse. I have nothing but hatered towards those people who now live around me with their own families. The scars will never go inside or out. No way do these people deserve anything from me as they destroyed my childhood. You have guts calling your bully &:talking total respect. I totally ignore mines as i know that i have something they never will & that's a kind heart full of love they made me & didn't break me. Stronger than ever now no looking back.
A friend of mine made friends with one of his bullies who came up who him and apologized one day and started to help him out with things instead, and he ended up making friends with his other bullies too later on.
Bullies are honestly the most irritating people, especially after time passes. They act like they did nothing and had no intentions. They know what they do and they should just own up to it, no bs.

When I was a little kid in elementary I had anger issues and a tough time getting into a social environment, still recovering today. Some of the other kids I've hurt understood me and helped me through. Most people just treat me like the special needs kid which is nice and all but the people who became real friends for me are the people I give thanks the most. For this video, this was really brave of you.

I also wish you'd asked him if he'd ever been bullied, because he really didn't seem to understand how it feels at all, the gun wrenching feeling of being totally embarrassed and put on display in front of all your peers and at such an awkward age aswell..
+katie People are so self-centered, especially at that age, they don't even realize most of the things going on around them. That's pretty universal. I'm 30 now, and it's only in my adulthood that I've looked back on my childhood and teenage years and started connecting a lot of dots.
I mean, our lives are constantly rubbing up against other people's lives. There's no way you could ever know how much you affected other people -- things as simple as a look or a passing comment can stick with people for years.
Some people are so lacking in empathy and introspection that they never realize that. They just tumble through life, lashing out chaotically, affecting people in ways that they'll never understand.

Because they're kids with undeveloped brains. It is a learned behavior. I was a bully as a kid. For the longest time I didn't know why I was a bully. I remember one time telling a friend that I was a bully for no reason, I just found it fun. He didn't buy it, he said there has to be a reason, that I should think deeper.
As I did, I found the reason why. I was bullied before I became one. I never classified it as "bullying" because I was jst a kid, I didn't even know what that was or why kids were doing what they were doing.
Sometimes people dint realize they are bullies because say if they make a joke or something they would laugh WITH the bully so the bully would think that the victim was ok with it. Some cases they even ask if they are ok with them joking around and they say yes. The bully has no idea they are bullying
I was bullied a lot in grade school and middle school. I was also a bully to at least one girl. She is my friend now, and I still hate myself for what I did to her. I still stay awake at night crying and wishing that I had never existed because I must have caused her so much pain. Those memories help fuel my suicidal ideation.
On an intellectual level I do not resent the people who made my life hell. They were just kids, they didn't know how much it hurt. That said, a lot of the intrusive thoughts from my anxiety and depression stem partially from them. They did a lot of damage to me. I resent the thoughts, and by extension, I guess I kind of resent the bullies too.
So I have been on both sides of the bullying perspective, and this video gives me second-hand anxiety. You are so incredibly brave, and I have no clue how you managed it. I wish I could be as strong as you are. Thank you for making this video.
Riyadh K is an emotionally healthy and very courageous young man. My hat is off to him for confronting one of his childhood bullies. I must say that the bully is not being completely honest when he makes light of what he did and tries almost desperately to laugh it all off. His bullying was intentional whether he wants to confront that about himself or not. Riyadh may be able to rise above the hurt and forgive, for which I sincerely congratulate him. Certainly not all victims of bullying are not quite so fortunate.
Love how he barely took any responsibility for what he'd done and was like "oh it's just what happens in school y'know". It was the kind of "sorry _if_ I offended you" apology. What really stuck with me was how he thought that this was completely acceptable until you called him, to top it all off the word 'bully' was never used and he seemed to pass it off as regular school banter that will just "sort itself out".
Yeah, and how the bully didn't realise someone would feel bad about the bullying. No shit sherlock.

Bullies have good in them. I was once a bully, but looking back on my past, I regret most of things that I've done to kids at school.
You talk about how you manage to hide your anxiety a lot, but this is maybe the first time I've actually seen anxiety on your face in a video. You could tell that speaking to him and bringing up all those old feelings from the past took you back to your high school mentality, and made that old anxiety rear its ugly head. Honestly, at first I was a little confused why you would even bring yourself back to that headspace in the first place, but as you said, it's more about closure than anything else.
