  • In this video, I explain why a Distinction Phrase/Clause (formerly a Relative Clause) might be viewed as a Noun Complement, thereby making it the SEVENTH form of Noun Complement. I then go on to explain why a Common Adjective or an Adjective Phrase might be viewed as a Noun Complement. If you embraced the SEVENTH form of Noun Complement, as given in my examples, you would logically be inclined to embrace the EIGHTH form.
In my mind, there are at least EIGHT structures that can function as a Noun Complement:
    (1) Prepositional Phrase
    (2) Infinitive Phrase
    (3) Noun Clause
    (4) Proper Noun
    (5) Name Complement #1
    (6) Name Complement #2
    (7) Distinction Phrase/Clause (formerly: Relative clause)
    (8) Adjective/Adjective Phrase
ERROR ALERT: At 8:29, I SHOULD have said, "the THREE that I introduced," not FOUR.
