Love your videos. I really enjoy your commentary and everything you show reminds me so much of my childhood (I am a child of the 70’s) I recently found coffee mugs with the Spice of Life. They belonged to my mother and have been stored away for years. You have inspired me to find a wall rack so I can display them in my kitchen like she did when I was child. ❤❤❤❤
I love this comment thank you so much for sharing that. What a great way to display them. I’m a big fan of using/displaying the things we inherit instead of keeping them packed away 😊 Thank you so much for watching, I’m glad you are enjoying the videos.
You have a beautiful collection. I used to have that pattern, but prefer Blue Cornflower so donated my Spice of Life. I had received some of the Spice of Life when I got married in 1980. The one unmarked piece after the skilleet is called a "grab-it".
I love your collection of Corning wares. How unfortunate, I only have one piece from your collection. Was not educated on Corning ware and Pyrex during my younger days. These days the newer pyrex or corning wares are not so durable as those made long ago. Would love to collect 2 to 3 pieces from Pyrex and Corning wares next week when I go out shopping. Wondered if they are on sale or can easily obtained in the Shopping Malls. Thank you for introducing your collection. Really enjoyed watching them.😊
If you check thrift stores you can usually find Pyrex and Corningware although they are starting to charge quite a bit for it 😊 Yard sales are also a good place to look and probably find it a bit cheaper than the thrift stores 😊
@@VintageVibesJamie Thank you for your kind advice. I just fell in loved with them. Unfortunately,my country does not have thrift stores nor yard sales. Can either buy from 2nd hand online purchase (unable to check for quality, they might not even have it) or buy it new from departmental stores. That is, if they carry such stocks. Nonetheless, by hook or by crook, I will try to get hold of 2 to 3 pieces from somewhere.😂 I wished I knew where is the somewhere.😂
Great collection. I did get the spice of life tea pot as a wedding gift but believe it or not I actually broke it a few years later. More recently I've been collecting the cornflower pattern. It's what my mother had when I was a kid. I actually found a kind of rare tea pot in that pattern this summer. It's much bigger than the standard one but still has a nice round shape. The $20 price tag was really great too :)
I had the dinnerware in this pattern. Swapped it out later for the Shadow Iris pattern and I have all of the pieces you have in this pattern only in Shadow Iris. Always looking for other pieces.
Thank you for the video. I also have a Spice of Life collection that I display in my kitchen. I also have the mushroom mixing bowls. I'm excited other get excited a out this too. I have a country festival 4 qt with lid I found at an estate sell-not the best shape but ok. Very similar taste! I'm also collecting Vintage Hall Jewel Tea-which I've currently become obsessed with. Working in giving our 1957 home a vintage feel. I'll use your channel for inspiration.
I have one piece only (1 1/2 quart) and it has the plastic lid. It says Le Persil La Sauge and I bought it because it was there and at a good price so why not.😅. Your collection is really nice! Like the way you have things displayed.
I got married in 1969 and got several pieces of the corn flower set.Anout 10 years ago I found 3 of the corn flower pie plates that I had never seen. I use them for a smaller vegetable tray.
I was looking up Corningware to see what pattern I found thrifting for $2 and it’s that country festival 6 cup tea pot my first one I bought because I liked the pattern on it
@@matthewfarmer2520 I guess I’m not sure what set you mean because the set I own Spice of Life was produced in 1972 but has vegetables not flowers and the set I showed pictures of with flowers is country festival and was not produced in the early 70s it wasn’t produced until 1975.
Oven cleaner may clean it off, but why use it when a baking soda-water paste followed with a vinegar spray and elbow grease will do the same. That is what I used when cleaning heavy baked on stains from a glass pyrex casserole dish.
You have such a beautiful collection. I really admire your pieces.
@@berniceagyekwena3448 Thank you so much 😊
I love cookware from the 70’s and cookbooks also!
Thank you so much for watching 😊

I think you can clean up the scuff marks with bar keepers friend powder!
Oh good to know thanks for sharing 😊
I have that percolator and use it all the time!! It makes THE BEST COFFEE!!!
Yes! I have a Pyrex one I use that works the same and the coffee is so good 😊

I’m glad you showed the spice rack. I was happy to spot that one! I love this pattern.

Oh that’s so cool, that’s one of the best things about collecting, finding rare pieces especially if you get a good deal on it 😊
The spice rack is so neat! Love love love!

Thank you so much 😊 I had never heard of Hall Jewel Tea but I just looked it up and it’s so pretty.
It's has gotten valuable The most sought after is the 4quart casserole dutch oven
Definitely increased since I started buying it.

Love your house so much! 😭 You have the best stuff! 💛 I wish you lived in Texas, so we could meet for lunch. Hope you have a great week! 💚 🌿🌻💛

That’s a really great first find and an amazing price 😊
i’ve seen multiple pieces of the country festival pattern at the brass armadillo in IA if you’re nearby or can make it there!!
Thanks for sharing, unfortunately I live in Canada 😊
The bowl is called a Grab-it.
Thanks 😊
I like, the corninware
Absolutely LOVE this 70s collection. High-quality stuff. Do you serve out of it or just display?
It really is the best stuff!! I used to use it but since we moved here I’ve just been displaying it 😊
Those set are early 1970s with the flowers print designs.
Do you mean Country Festival that was produced in 1975 and discontinued in 1976.
@@VintageVibesJamie when I say early, 1970s I mean 1970 -1972. Year.

😊
Pyroceram is a great material.

hi!do you still use your vintage collection or it is just for display? is it safe to use?
Just for display, I don’t think it’s safe to use.
How can i buy it?
You can usually find some in thrift stores, but there is tons on sites like eBay just a bit pricier 😊
Is all this porcelain?
Corningware products are made from glass-ceramic 😊
Easyoff oven cleaner will get all that junk off the handle
Thanks for the tip 😊
