I just stumbled upon this video! You both are SO fun!! So I’m 36 and I started collecting Pyrex in my early 20’s. Back in the early/mid 2000’s Pyrex was CHEAP! Even the turquoise, pink, promos and HTF pieces! I had an impressively LARGE collection!! I married my husband, we tried to start a family but bc of infertility issues, we decided to adopt. SO I sold off 93% of my collection, starting around 2013. Over the course of a couple years, I ended up making 4 times the amount I paid for all the Pyrex bc it was starting to become super popular! I now look at people’s beautiful collections and swoon over them bc I used to have all those pieces! I had all the ones mentioned in this video that were wish pieces…starburst, eyes and I still have stems! HOWEVER, my two adopted children were well worth the sacrifice! And now, 10 years later, I’m in a position to start hunting again! Someday I will have an impressive collection again but I’ll enjoy the hunting and searching along the way!! ❤❤

WOW!!! Being a lover of history, this episode is epic and informative.
    1) I just learned about the Tom & Jerry holiday drink yesterday from the bartender/mixologist, Anders Erickson. He always provides the history of a cocktail.

    2) I grew up w/the green & white pyrex. I will inherit the collection at some point. Mom won’t part with it now. 😭
The side handles really have a job …. WHO KNEW? 🤯

Whoa. Anders’ channel is so cool. Instant subscribe. I can’t believe how thick it is! Haha. I don’t want to make a Tom & Jerry myself, but it would be so cool if you could order a bowl with friends at a bar! Maybe I’ll make Baguette bartend for me instead.

I’m with you… I want to try a Tom & Jerry and in the proper pyrex cup. However, the way my baking skills & anxiety is set up, I will not be able to execute it. 🤣BUT if we can get Baguette to whip one up really fast, I’m drinking it. 🤣
      Have fun with Anders channel.🥂

I have a few Pyrex pieces myself and love them! I only have a few so that I can think of my late mother when I’m cooking. It’s fun to collect things HOWEVER, when one does not even have a tiny spot left in their home to put their 100th piece of Pyrex it’s ridiculous IMO. We will leave this earth the same way we came-with NOTHING! Unfortunately, ALL the paint on the exterior of vintage Pyrex pieces contains a high amount of lead, which of course is a heavy metal and dangerous to our health!! Every time you touch it, it’s getting on your hands and is absorbed through your skin. Lead does not just nicely pass through your body. It settles in bone. Joint pain could be an indication that you have lead! Heavy metals disrupt the endocrine system, causing problems with hormones and even having a hard time losing weight and so on…”

I have my grandmother's pyrex - the ones I love the best are the primary coloured complete mixing bowl set! My Grandmother has been dead for over 50 years, a d she had them forever so I know they are really old!
