Hi Carol, hope you have a great day. I'm loving this daily block, you've done some amazing new to me setups. Enjoying this little ruler more than I ever did, as it sat in a box for many years. glad I hadn't donated it to the guild.
Awesome I’m also making use of my tri rec rulers. Thinking I’m going to do mine up with my Polkadots fabrics in all different colour ways and directions. Thanks Carol it’s a great block to play around with. 👍❤️😊
🎉great!! Pinning tips...I come from HomeEc/Garment world, ( have an AccuQuilt as i hate rotary/sissors!)!::;but never been instructed on sewing where Pin goes in at point first placed!!...you're a SuperStar teacher!! Thank you!!❤
I got to experiment with them and was surprised what a big difference that tiny little notch on the smaller ruler makes. These rulers are a game changer!
Hi! Carol Happy late Mothers day , I have a ? I layed a layer cake down and I was able to get two of the middle unit , but not the sides , so there are two pieces of the same fabric , can I just use that to make the outer pieces , I also have a background fabric to use , HELP I'M CONFUSING MYSELF
I think you could use any fabric that can be cut to the correct size! I haven't tried that size on a layer cake but just go for it! Thanks for watching!
More uses for my Tri Recs Ruler!!!! Do you know of any kind of block that can use this design on point? I do not know why, but sounds intriguing, may not even be possible, who knows. If you know of something out there, please let us know.
Hi Deb, Every block that finishes a square can be set on point. If you have watched Donna Jordan, Kimberly Jolly or On Point TV with Nancy, and many others ,they all have demonstrated on point settings. Very easy way to enlarge any quilt. The ruler, I use is a very old one by Fons and Porter that gives you the size of the set in triangles, BUT I always add 1/2" to that measurement, as it's design is for perfect cutting,,, no wiggle room, and I prefer to sew then trim the entire quilt edge. have fun.
I remembered a quilt by Christa Watson called Blooming Wallflowers that has the Tri Rec block on point - here is a link to the picture - shrsl.com/42efu Thanks for watching!
Happy Mothers Day, Carol. Not even today, you stop posting for us. You are great!!!😊
