    Shure have offered their TW2, which includes a 4-band EQ & a good transparency mode, for the last couple of tears at a $250 price point. They natively support MMCX connectors, but 2-wire adaptors work, as well.

    Great stuff sir. Would love to see a video of using the different BT codec for PC gaming - as most of what is out there is outdated.

    Hi Joe! Great review! Would you recommend these for gaming? Any sound delay? Mic echo? Discord issues? Thanks!

    • @GadgetryTech
      @GadgetryTech  Год назад

      Hello! I pretty much advise against using any BT product purely for gaming. The latency is usually too much if you’re playing competitive games. For casual, it’s not bad if you can leverage AptX.

    Bought these and have traded them allready😅. The earhooks for me where much too stiff, and really uncomfortable. The Fiio UTWS5 are miles ahead for my earshape comfort wise, and sounds just as good for AAC, which I use. Wondering how good mic would be if your earshape would tilt bottom of Pods slightly under your ear and forward?? First ifi product that I have not loved!

    • @HeyThatsImpossible
      @HeyThatsImpossible 10 месяцев назад

      the LDAC in these have better high end extension more refined sound than the Fiio UTWS5 which I too own but still I prefer the UTWS5 because of the features and i'm not that concerned with sound quality as long as they sound good
      Also the UTWS5 has bigger earhooks and are much more comfortable although the Go Pods loosened enough as I have been using them so they are not painted in the ears after a couple of minutes using them

      @@Unlucky1776 what don’t u get? Using iems is a bit more involved than just headphones but even with headphones, wireless is hell of a nice convenience. Having to pull the out of and from around each ear every time u need to get another drink or use the bathroom or get the door or whatever. Not to mention the cable being in the way, laying across the desk and in your lap. Also, pulling iems in and out of your ears repeatedly can exacerbate any discomfort some of them can give u. Not to mention the many ppl who play on pc connected to a large screen with a controller who’s headphone Jack doesn’t work when not connected to the pc and the console players who uses aftermarket controllers that either don’t have a headphone Jack or one that doesn’t work with the console.
      There are myriad reasons why someone would want wireless audio for gaming. Wireless keyboards make less sense but there are even legitimate reasons and situations where a wireless keyboard is necessary. Wanting wireless audio makes perfect sense to anyone who’s ever used wireless headphones and really anybody who’s gotten up and forgot to unplug the headset and either broke the tip of the jack or snatched headphones or iems out of their ears.
      “Makes no sense” about wireless headsets is a weird take for anyone who games regularly.
      I take it you’re not much of a gamer. Correct?
      And no, I don’t play dota. I play warzone and DCS

    As nice as these are, for $400 I think it would still be hard to justify over getting a solid TWS set (or two). I've had both the MMCX and the 2pin FiiO UTWS5, and despite the fact they sound amazing, I just never seem to reach for them over my Bose QC 2 Earbuds for outdoor walks or my Momentum True Wireless 3 buds while walking around in the house doing chores. Even though I have some great IEMs I can connect to them, they just don't work quite as seamlessly (particularly for things like ambient mode) nor are they as comfortable.
    Maybe if you already have a crazy IEM collection, and no TWS. Even then, it's a tough sell for that price. There's hardly a TWS set on the market that would cost more than that.

    • @GadgetryTech
      @GadgetryTech  Год назад +1

      Yeah I think that’s the challenge. This is definitely a niche product for those with several IEMs they love, and would like to use them wirelessly from time to time.

      It really isn’t. Pushes more power than other adapters and has a far more reliable connection than other adapters I’ve tried. They put more work into these and it’s a niche audience.

    At 200 or less there are some nice earbuds out there that sound really nice, you really really have to love your personal iem to buy that product. I love my sennhizer momentum TW3, sound very good and loud at 150$ smaller case, charges faster, looks better, aptx codex that sounds just as good as LDAC or maybe it's just the quality of drivers I don't know. Great EQ in the app. I do understand this is for the die hard iem guy but, man that's a steep price, ifi good luck! Thanks Joe for another great video!

      I seem to need ginormous eartips to get any consistency. I've settled on etymotic ER series for consistency in placement. At first, the deep penetration was weird, but i quickly acclimated, and I've never had them fall out FWIW.
