- Welcome to fordmustang98guy Everyone, Today's In Depth Review I will be showing you the 2000 Oldsmobile Alero, I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of the car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, & starting the engine as well. A thorough tour/review of the car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I own a 2000 V6 Alero GL. It's Arctic White, love it.
Have you had any engine issues with your Alero? The 3.4 L 3400 engine always known for blowing a head gasket or lower intake gasket
@@fordmustang98guy I bought it used from an elderly man. He's the original owner and took great care of it. No problems so far, but I've only owned it for 4 months. It only has 87k miles on it.

My brother had one.... This Alero was his baby ! It died a few months or more ago
So sad ! This car since 2000 one or two so about 16 or 17 years
Was his Alero a 3.4 L V6 or 2.4 L 4 cylinder
My aunt had a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero exact same color
The door chime is exactly the same as the pontiac grand am

For some reason a guy in my neighborhood has 8 of these cars all the same color and probably the same year too parked in his yard

Likely the AC compressor is making that rattling noise. Same as my Regal and others I hear on the street.

It rattles when its off. There is a plate on the end that locks when you engage the compressor, the plate is what is rattling. Check it out, I could be wrong but thats what it sounds like.
One of the last decent GM cars.

It really is basic. Manual windows on an Olds. Isn't that lovely? Fewer things to break. No worries about expensive window motor repairs. ($$$). And with plastic bolt-on wheel covers too. I call those "sheriff's badge" covers.
