If you like ESP LTD's you'll definitively love modern Schecters. They're a bit cleaner in their design and their Quality Assurance is insane! Both companies are owned by the same person, but it's been clarified that esp ltd's a bit more budget oriented versions of the 2.
I love love love this series! If I could make a suggestion, maybe there could be some background music to make everything come together. This is awesome though!!!
Thanks Andy! That was the plan, to score each episode. But it ended up delaying the whole thing so much i figured “finished” is better than “perfect”. In the future i will have more background music 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I’m not sure how much you know about Eddie was a part of inventing most of the tech in his guitars. The Floyd Rose bridge was a collaboration between Ed and the guy the device was named after. The bridge pick that was in the Frankenstein was wound based on Eddies experimentation. The d-Tuna is another invention of Eddies. The kill switch is new for him because any kill switch effects from early recordings came from his shark guitar that had two pickups wired like a Les Paul where you could turn down the volume of the neck pickup and go back and fourth with the pickup selector and make a similar sound as a kill switch. Ace Frehley of Kiss did this all the time, as did many other Les Paul players in the 70’s.
Would you consider doing a blood splatter tutorial (there was a very brief one in a previous trash to thrash, but I’m talking about something a bit more in depth)
Yes I’ll do that at some point. Right now I’m making this series and building customs for people, but when I get a little bigger and can hire some help I’ll get to more videos like that 👍🏼
the vitas guitar along with all kramers were painted black last believe it or not. this is why the black stripes on the kramers have soft edges because the guys who painted it used a piece of paper practically with a stripe cut in it as a mask
Dude I love what you're doing here man. I have about 30 some odd guitars, and I've been tinkering around since the '90s.I do the same thing as you when it comes to taking a bunch of different pieces of different quality or value guitars and just sticking them together and painting them and set them up however you want.it's something I really love to do.if I go on my channel and I watch videos of myself playing sometimes over the course of the past two years I will see one guitar change form three or four times within a year.I think we both have some kind of a disease that's like a mental illness of doing this to guitars...lol
Great video, though Eddie never painted any of the Kramer's. They were all painted at the Kramer factory in New Jersey. The black stripes were never masked they used 2 pieces of cardboard which is why you have the overspray on the sides
I always have a weird moment when I'm putting the detergent in the washing machine, when the liquid detergent splatters on the inside of the machine... I think of Eddie. :)
That stealth frankenstrat is the best. I hit you up on IG about purchasing that a while back but, of course, things came up and set me back. Hoping I can still get one in the future! Cheers! \m/
What would you charge for one of these or one of the Kramer 5150 style (The Dugan Guitar)? I'm Left handed as well and would rather not go with a cheap overseas replica.. and the only frankenstrat evh sells doesn't really look good to me at all. It just isn't right.
Thanks so much! Wait til next week when you see it finished! Be sure to sub and turn on notifications, and help spread the word on your social media 😁🤘🏼
hey, GuitarGuts, for someone who wants to start getting into customizing guitars, where dyou think would be a good place to start? I dont have access to tools like ban saws, or that. maybe paint-jobs 1st?
OOOOH, DID I SEE A HEADLESS JACKSON ROSWELL?! just after you explain the tape up after the 4 coats of black It looked like either a Jackson roswell RR or a gibson knockoff of the Jackson roswell.
My dream is to have a "Circles"replica I can't afford the store model but if its the last thing I do I'll get one the only thing I would do is have a cobalt blue/white finish on its
I wanna get a green guitar one day, I want to switch to electric soon because the music I like can't be played on an acoustic could you please tell me what I should look for when buying one, I don't know much about guitars, I like the score, autumn kings, valley of wolves, and awake at last
Well it really depends what your budget is, can’t go wrong with a cheaper Les Paul or a middle range Squire Strat for your first electric. But if you have a higher budget, then the options open up more.
I’ll do anything custom for people 👍🏼 but I don’t want to build things that might sit on the shelf for a while. I actually have a lefty frankenstrat started right now that isn’t sold yet.
Most of the ones I sell go rather quickly, check my IG page @guitarguts or email me mark@guitarguts.com and I can show you what I have now, or we can start something new for you 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Not yet. I have a website but now these are all selling before I can even list them. I’ll just post them on Instagram and someone usually reserves them right away while I’m building them. Email me mark@guitarguts.com if you have something in mind you’d want and we can go from there.
Just a fun touch, like how eddie put a selector switch in his middle cavity, and eddie smoked and had the burn marks on the headstock, this is sort of a homage to that, plus if you ever need a lighter at band practice or at a show, there you go!
@@GuitarGuts yeah they’re from China I ordered one from DHgate as a base but when ordering you have to make sure it’s a trusted seller mine is a knockoff evh music man I’ll make sure to update u when it’s here
Hey man - love the trash to thrash content. Keep it coming!
Thanks brother!! Anything you can do to help would be huge, like sharing it on your social media 💪🏼💪🏼
GuitarGuts will do bro 👍
Im so glad that i discovered this series
Hell yeah Paul, thanks for watching!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
This series is cooler than any series ive ever watched
Thank you!!! Please help spread the word about it on your social media, the more people who watch and enjoy these, the more of them I’ll make 😁
@@GuitarGuts i will
It is much appreciated 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
This was the first time that I’ve seen an Instagram add that didn’t suck, I’m so thankful that I decided to watch this.
This is the ultimate complement 🤘🏼 thanks Liam 🤘🏼🤘🏼

Yeah Schecter has that classy vibe! But I love LTDs headstocks and vicious vibe.

And of course, the great RR!
This is like a reality show but without all the bullshit that usually ruins them, I actually enjoy watching.
This needs to be on TV. Compared to the crap TLC cranks out, this is both wholesome and interesting LOL
Love that headstock shape.
Me too! 🤘🏼
Hey I sent you a Direct Message on Instagram im curious about having a guitar done, would it be better to send to an email or something?
Bro that frankenstein was BEEEAAAUTIFULL!! I recently made bumblebee version, myself. Eddie is the greatest, period. Long live the King!!!

looks amazing man! keep it up i love the content

That's a decent score on the green MH-1000. I paid around the same for my EC-1000 with a case a few years ago.
I always have a weird moment when I'm putting the detergent in the washing machine, when the liquid detergent splatters on the inside of the machine... I think of Eddie. :)
man i fucking LOVE that black on black striped guitar!
I have an old OLP MM1 and I’d love to have a Frankenstrat colour scheme! If you’re ever taking on new work..

Great work, especially the stealth! Just curious...what is the need for a kill switch?
I just saw this explained in episode #6. Makes sense.
stealth franken strat is BAD ASS!!
