We are kindred spirits when it comes to this loc journey. I absolutely agreed with 100% of what you shared. I just started my journey on the 4th of July. New SUBSCRIBER .
I appreciate the endorsement and hope you experience fun and excitement as you watch the growth of your locs! It's like watching a reality show!Continuously educate yourself, even if you don't style your own hair. It's important to stay informed about the condition of your hair. Thank you for subscribing!
I am soooo glad you started this channel. I am a DIY'er also. I was quoted about $1200 for my sister locs and I have a mohawk. I decided that, because i have low density, color treated hair that I wanted to go a little larger. You inspired me to do it myself. I have carpal tunnel, so it will probably take me a month, but it's OK, it's my hair and I can do that. 😊Thank you, new subbie here.🎉
Heyyy! Welcome to my channel! I’m so glad to inspire and help anyone. I do tons of searching for help as a DIYer. Doing my best to not make too many mistakes. I have a couple Qs, do you find yourself tightening individual locs as needed or are you able to leave them alone for weeks? How after do you shampoo?
@MsKobe I just started the process this week, so my plan is to retwist as needed. I usually shampoo my hair every 2- 3 weeks, depending on how active I am. My scalp tells me when I need a shampoo. It doesn't like build up.
When I decided to lock my hair I was told 900 to 1200 for the first 6 inches and 50 dollars for every inch after that. My hair was brand new strap and I am a student so I know I couldn’t afford it. I have made some mistakes but I am also enjoying the process.
@@knottyJaGirl Heyyy! I used colors 6RR and 6RC. Just about every brand should have the same colors. I have used many thru the years. I can’t say I identified a favorite.
@@knottyJaGirl I wish I could help more. In a past video, I displayed the two box colors I used to color my first install with extensions, They both worked really well on both my hair and the extensions!
