"The Minimalist Natural" is the YTer who twists, bobs, and flat irons her locs. It seems we've traveled the same YT streets when it comes to loc info 😊
I started my shoulder length hair (4a corkscrew coils) with knotted locs; I don't have a defined grid. I just pulled a coil and knotted them at the base. I added knots along the length of the loc'd hair as I saw fit. I am 8 months in. I'm very happy with my results thus far. Right now, my hair is healthy and the locs are taking shape. I don't know how this will end up because I keep hearing there is a particular way that it should be done. But, what I've noticed is that the hair is loc'ing over the knots.
Hey Ladies! Love it! I’m soaking up every piece of information and opinion I can get on knots in locks. Yes! I love the crazy glue idea for reattaching locks that break off. Thank you❤️.
I'm lost! 3 point, 4 point, 2 point rotation? How do you do a knot on your own? ok I just saw the example of how to knot, you used a card to demonstrate, so how often do you knot it? And it make sense to me because when getting braids for example, the root of the hair has something stronger to hold on to that will allow your hair to grow stronger. Not sure if that makes sense. Great honest video, agree with you on a lot of what you both said.
I think because sisterlocs was soooo exclusive and expensive Melissa went in the total opposite direction. Is it just me but does the guest remind anyone else of actress Jennifer Lewis.
@@NevaScaredHo Correct! We are not saying Melissa owns tying knots in locs. It seems she has created a knotting system. This is prolly where she stakes her claim.
That last part y’all hit everything - beautiful conversation
@@Kenya_D Thank you! I think Charmaine hit it out of the park in her statements!

@@tracistaples2004 Are you referring to her voice? It is very unique. She prolly doesn’t know it.
Yes her voice and she favors her a little too. She could be her little sister.
Melissa does not own the process of knotting locs. None of these women own any of these techniques that been done for hundreds of years.
