I love watching first time reactors to the Maids. You get it man. There are so many brilliant songs for you to see. You will become a 'Maidiac', just like the rest of us.
When they first started, back in 2013, they all wore very similar costumes modeled on the costumes worn by the wait staff at Japanese "Maid Cafes". Band founder Miku (pigtails and a red flower) had worked in a maid cafe and thought the idea of cute, friendly maids with hard-charging music would make an interesting contrast. They are very much influenced by the Maid Cafe culture, in fact the band members often call themselves by a word that gets translated as "waitperson" and they call their concerts "Okyu-Ji" which translates as "serving". Each woman's costume has evolved in tune with their preference. As you noticed the two guitarists, Miku and lead guitar Kanami were both on board with the maid aesthetic and their costumes haven't changed all that much, although Miku looks like a maid in an anime these days. Drummer Akane wanted more freedom of movement so her costume now features shorts rather than a skirt. Bassist MISA didn't like the maid costumes at all and quickly shifted to basic black, and typically plays barefoot. Lead singer Saiki's look has evolved into more of a hostess from a goth dungeon club.
@@AxeSwipe2011Kanami had a terrible time with the high heels she was expected to wear early on . She wisely ditched them for the smart , sensible, utilitarian flats . As her pedal board now takes up about half an acre , I'm glad she made the switch ! 😉
Looks like Kanami's newest on stage outfit has also shifted to a longer black look. I saw a recent video of her and it looks really good, fits her better. I just hope they never abandon the original aesthetic though.
A thing about the maid outfits, T: as Fans and Maidiacs know, Miku -- the 2nd guitarist, lyricist, founder and who worked at a maid cafe -- wanted to show that everyday working "Kawaii" girls dressed as maids in high heels while having fun and smiling could rock as hard as any guy band sweating it up in their hip, poor tortured artists "outfits"... and by showing that contrast (the Gap), it would generate interest, which it so successfully has done! It also represents Woman Power (Equality), which is an important theme with the Maids. Now they show up as Maids for all band business and interviews, etc. and have created a long-lasting, unmistakable, visual band brand. Very cleaver, Miku. Your diabolical plan for world domination is working, Po! Of course, none of this would work if their music and stage performance wasn't at such a remarkably high level. Band-Maid is considered by many of their fans and Maidiacs to be the best hard rock band in the world - maid outfits and all!
Japanese schools still teach the arts. Music, dance, paint, crafts etc. They have music clubs and the students will form bands, they will hold performances at the school. The music performances are dominated by girl groups in all genre. The maid costumes are to create "the Gap", meaning the difference between what you are seeing demure maids vs what you are hearing Hard Rock!! All are wearing maid costumes, Bassist is in more Chinese style, main vocals Head Housekeeper, drummer is in a maid costume. Rolling Stone in their Lollapalooza review referred to it as shock rock!!! They have total control of their music from creation to the order the songs are be on the album. The interesting thing is the founder of the band and main lyricist is a Small Pigeon.
You’ve heard nothing yet, trust me! This used to be the big song people would recommend for reactors to start with. Now it’s not even the 10th song I would recommend. Only because they are way beyond this now (IMO). But, yes, this is a great song, and a great performance. The hot thing now is the video showing 2 of the songs from their setlist at Lollapalooza this year. “Dice” and “Hate?” They go from one song right into the other and there’s a killer bass/guitar trade-off/battle in the midst of it all! Best rock band in decades…
Kanami plays PRS Custom 24. Grey and purple burst mainly. Still no custom of her own. But Miku on rythm guitar and Kanami's student got her own. In 2016 she was offered to try a Zemaitis and a collab was started. In 2021 it was celebrated with her own signature. The stunning "flappy pigeon".

THE best Rock band in the universe. And in any parallel ones. 🤘🤘 At 7:56 - MISA, the bassist, Kanami the lead guitarist and composer, and Miku the rhythm guitarist and founder of the band, are playing Hengao - "strange faces" - with Akane the drummer, which is making funny faces to try and put someone off. Akane, of course, laughs along while not missing a beat. It shows the ladies' confidence in each others' abilities that they can fool around like this while all of them slam out note-perfect Rock at full tilt. At 9:26 - MISA the bassist is holding her plectrum in her curled finger so she can produce it and switch from slapping to picking in half a nanosecond! At 10:13 - Akane the drummer hitting two separate beats on her double kick pedals while simultaneously continuing the song melody on her snare, toms and cymbal. At 13:38 - a brief glimpse of Kanami laying down one sweet rolling chord pattern on her PRS lead guitar - pure class. THE best live Rock band on Earth. And beyond.
T, From one old geezer to another, I'm glad that you have discovered Band Maid. They have been my favorite hard rock band for three years. There is no real need for translation. The band incorporates English lyrics in their songs, but the best thing about them is their solid musical talent, cohesiveness, and professional demeanor on stage. They live for live performances and they own the audience. The band recently celebrated their 10th year anniversary touring the U. S., Mexico City, and of course, Japan. They have recorded over 120 songs and many of them are on RUclips. The band has their own RUclips channel and they actively allow anyone to download and review their songs. You can't go wrong reviewing any of their songs. They "gimmick" of the band is they wear maid outfits (they call them combat gear). Miku Kobato, the backup guitarist and rhythm guitarist founded the band. She had worked in a Maid Cafe in Tokyo and thought it would be cool to play hard rock while wearing the maid costumes. While, Kanami, the lead guitarist, and Akane, the drummer, didn't have a problem with the maid costumes, but Misa, the bassist and Saiki, the lead vocalist felt uncomfortable wearing the outfits. So they designed and wore their own outfits. During an interview, Misa wore her all-black outfit and the interviewer asked what kind of maid she was. Miku quipped "assassin maid' and the name stuck. Misa is now called the "barefoot assassin" because she is always barefoot on stage. Saiki's outfit reminds me of a sexy vamp diva, which fits her charismatic personality on stage. People call Saiki, the "Ice Queen" because of her regal aloofness. If you decide to jump down the rabbit-hole that is Band Maid, you will gather many subscribers and followere.
If you watch their very first MV 'Thrill' , you will see that they started out with co-ordinated maid costumes. Saiki and Misa were always, lets say, less than enthusiastic about the maid outfits and over the years they have evolved their costumes, Akane's has become more practical with shorts , Knickerbockers in her current outfit. You can see their current outfits in their latest single 'Shambles' or one of the live songs from Tokyo Garden Theatre like 'Puzzle' .

"what is it about Japan and all girl bands?" They are energetic, happy and just all around more pleasant to watch than grungy Western male bands! 😂😂😂 All of them are wearing some form of a maid uniform, just different styles and even culture's uniforms as each prefers.
you could have put your finger on it... if you look... yeah it has gotten jaded and lost it's enjoyment appeal! Good point! Thanks for taking the time to have a listen and give me some feedback!! I appreciate ya! 💯👍
@@tscompendium4602 As far as I know, drummer Akane's maid's outfit is partly practical for her energetic drumming and partly because it's hot as hell sitting in the back so close to the LED screen. As usual, she has one or more fans to cool her down to "survive" the gig. For each period of gigs, they tend to change their "battle suits", as they call them, a little. Over the years it has become that their battle suits show their personalities and you can see what kind of personality each member has. I like that and it makes me feel closer to them as a band. In general they like to joke around and have fun. When they play live, the goal is to get each other off the beat, especially drummer Akane. Something they never manage because she is like a drum machine. In fact, she is the one who makes them get off the beat by doing something crazy while playing. The whole band is likeable and absolutely the best discovery I've made in recent years. As you may have guessed, their music is right up my wheelhouse! 🤘😁🤘
I got to say, Band Maid are a breath of fresh air from scowling tatted up ugly posing guys all dressed in black playing at 250 bpm playing everything that they know in the first 20 seconds of every song. These young ladies smile. They look like they are having fun and not working. They look like they like each other and their fans. They play at the highest level of musicianship. I ain't gonna lie. They are not hard to look at. They appear to have as much fun as ( or more) than their audience (if that is possible). They also love to watch videos of people reacting to them. They sometimes will notice and point out reactors at their concerts. They almost seem in awe of them. Great reaction, by the way, cheers.
This is a special band, and you'll find out as you listen to more of them. I resisted listening to them for a couple of years - in 2017 I wrote an article for a friend's publication about "fifty years ago this week" which followed the Billboard charts through 1967. I wanted to point out how much more varied the music was in those years; everything from Bobbie Gentry "Ode to Billie Joe" to The Beatles "Penny Lane," Frankie Valli "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" to Procol Harum "A Whiter Shade of Pale." I followed that up with some research on the origins of "heavy metal" which caused RUclips to put "Babymetal" into my suggestions. They struck me as singers in front of a band, but that caused RUclips to insist I watch Band-Maid. I figured I knew what that was going to be and I had a deadline so I didn't pay much attention. In 2020 I finally watched *"Choose Me"* and really liked the song writing, the guitarist's solos and the bassist's sense of taste. Then I watched *"Dice"* and decided they are a very very good band. I watched *"Blooming"* and *"Alone"* and *"YOLO"* and *"Daydreaming"* and *"Don't You Tell ME"* and then I watched everything. I started looking for live footage (fan cams were fine) because I decided that they are a very rare band indeed. I found out who these women are and started researching lyrics. That caused me to find all the other Japanese all-female bands, Love Bites and Nemophila and Gacharic Spin and Hanabie and all the others. It's freaky how good the scene is, and it's expanded my horizons. Band-Maid's latest is *"Shambles"* and their latest EP ("Unleash," from last year) includes *"from now on," "Unleash!!!!!"* and *"Influencer."* Those will get you started, but there is much much more. Happy listening!
What a cool reply.. I love your musical journey, obviously I'm old as hell and started with the Beatles, know Bobby Gentry, or 3 Dog Night, know The Stones etc.... Sounds like we had a bit of the same journey in the past. Cool, we get to enjoy some new stuff now!
The guitar finish is a quilted finish. It’s actually achieved by using a translucent coating over the wood allowing the grain to show through. They usually split the wood and flip it over to match the grain.
I like the look of surprise on the faces of those that get it . Band Maid top tier for any period in time , and always pushing to get better . Fun reaction ty 👍👍👍👍👍
such beautiful ladies making beautiful music. These girls rock pretty hard. And seemingly have some metal ish sections but i find it more of a driving rock sound. They rock tho.
I've seen Band-Maid play Domination live three times in the past year and it's been like this each time, even at the Sonic Temple Festival where many of the people had never seen them before.
Welcome to the Maidiacs, T. Great reaction. Don't apologize for repeating awesomeness. It will be fun to watch you fall head first down this Pigeon hole PO. Their first: Thrill Their latest: Shambles From the same show: Freedom
Yes, it's 2023 and Japanese female rock bands are a big thing right now. There's even two of them (Hanabie and Babymetal) performing this weekend at the Aftershock festival here in Northern CA, something I would have thought impossible only a few years ago.
Next to react after LOVEBITES and BAND-MAID... NEMOPHILA (growl vocal) songs Rise, Revive, Seize The Fate, Dissension, Raitei, cover songs WALK(Pantera), ACESS HIGH, THE TROOPER(Iron Maiden) SHOUT AT THE DEVIL(Motley Crue), KISS, AC/DC, Nickelback, Linkin Park, Halloween, Skid Row... HANABIE(growl vocal) songs We Love Sweets, Be The GAL, Pardon Me... GACHARIC SPIN song Mindset... TRIDENT-JAPAN songs Voltage, No Regret, Continue.... Best Japanese female drummers HARUNA(LOVEBITES), AKANE(BAND-MAID), SAE/CHIKA(HANABIE), YURI/HANA(GACHARIC SPIN), JUNNA/NAGISA(TRIDENT-JAPAN)
Band Maid are amazing!! This year is their 10th anniversary, and I was lucky enough to see them back in August. It was so good... Welcome to BAND MAID!! 🤘😀🤘
Japanese women have been thought of as subservient in the past and present. The fact that there are so many female rock and metal bands to me, is them giving the middle finger to that kind of thinking. And yes, Saiki and Misa arent into wearing maid outfits. It doesn't fit with their personalities. They did though in the beginning. In fact, Miku didn't even tell Saiki about the outfits when she asked her to join the band because she knew Saiki wouldn't be into it. Thankfully her trick paid off!😂
Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback, appreciating the quality of their sound, musicality, and performance. I think it would be a source of pride for them to be recognized by people like you who have seen and heard the genesis of hard rock in real time. All five members are extremely talented players, but first of all, please pay attention to AKANE, the drummer and leader. Listen to her crazy rhythm arrangement sense, kick timing, and punk rock soul. I think you will agree that she is one of a kind. From Japan with love
One of my three favorite Japanese bands (Band Maid, One Ok Rock and Wagakki). My favorite of theirs is the live duel cut of the songs Manners and Black Hole. Very groovy, followed by very technical.
Congratulations on improving your life tremendously by finding the Maids!! Arguably the best rock band on planet earth 🌎 today. Stick with the journey down the Pigeon hole and you’ll see!! Next, back to the beginning - “Thrill” - official MV Then 130+ remarkable songs across every rock genre and influence you can imagine distilled into a genre all their own! Miku, Kanami, Akane, Misa and Saiki might become your favorite musicians on the planet!! Take care and rock on 🤘🏼🔥🎸🥁🎤🎼😎✌🏼
Band-Maid is considered one of the best hard rock bands in the world ! The lead singer Saiki is wearing a Spanish maid costume and the bass player MISA is wearing an assassin costume! They consider the costumes as battle armor and are wearing the same costumes as their Anime ! "Unleash" MV Their are two more songs from this concert "Play" Live and "Freedom" Live that i like better! Thanks for your reaction these ladies are the best ✌🤘
1 million of those 4 millions views views was me..........just sayin'. Welcome to Band-Maid, these girls NEVER disappoint. Band-Maid, Lovebites and Nemophila are awesome. throw in Hanabie for some creative flavor.. the Japanese all female groups are the best in the world at the moment.
I know many people are gonna be here purely for Band-Maid and that is absolutely acceptable, but having gone back and watched some other videos of yours, I can tell you are a man of musical and cultural awareness and that's why I just subscribed. Band-Maid are excellent, faultless even, but you seem to understand more and I appreciate that. The music scene from around the world is now so vast and incredible and it's almost impossible to keep up with, but you seem to get it my friend. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm also gonna throw a couple of recommendations for bands out there if you don't mind: Nemophila - Rise (Japanese, all female, leading light in modern metal) Hanabie - Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now (ANOTHER all female band from Japan, they're truly changing the game. Just got to see them live in London, outstanding) Alien Weaponry - Kai Tangata (Metal from New Zealand, sung entirely in traditional Maori) Electric Callboy - We Got The Moves (German comedy dance-metal, so much better than it sounds) Otyken (Siberian folk instruments mixed with modern pop production, really interesting to listen too) I have more suggestions in the back pocket but I really can't stress enough how good these ones are (particularly the Japanese bands, they're truly taking over the metal scene at this point). Peace, Love and Metal my dude ✌️🤟
Thank you so much for your kind words, taking time to view my reactions!!! That really means a lot to me, and TY so much for the suggestions... I'll definitely check the out and react to them!
B-M Outfits: Red Rose Miku interview: My female fans like wearing my "Cute" Maid Outfit; Lead guitarist Kanam wears a "Fluffy" Maid Outfit, Drummer Akane, well because she is a drummer, wears shorts maid outfit, (Misa bass player wears an assassin outfit) and lead singer Saiki wears a "Dominatrix" maid outfit whereby her male fans wish she would step on their backs.
You have just witnessed the best Hard Rock band on the planet. For more fun see Freedom live with longer Akane drum solo thrown in to the live version.
On Kanami's PRS that's a transparent Charcoal stain over a Flamed Maple top, aka Tiger Striped. Other maples include Bird's Eye, Curly and Quilted. As far as MISA and Saiki looking different, they always have. Even from their very first Music Video almost ten years ago, when they switched to Red, their Maid Uniforms were a darker red than the others. MISA always wears all black. And though there's used to be some white in hers, Sail's was mostly black. You can still see a little in the trim. I call them The Darkness Sisters. They both have a No Shit Attitude that gives BAND-MAID their edgy quality as opposed to Miku and Kanami's Sweetness & Light. Akane is just kind of nuts, in a funny way. Anad Akane's outfit, though it's similar to Kanami and Miku's, has shorts instead of a skirt. Her being the drummer it's just more practical. All their outfits change every tour they have also gotten more stylized over time.
If you like this band, please check out a rock power trio from Mexico called The Warning. They are three sisters that are fantastic! A good song to start with would be "Disciple" live from their Teatro Metropolitan concert 2022.
Maidiacs Incoming! 🎉 Congratulations, sir. You have just won the rock and roll lottery 🏆 Enjoy the comments, from fast and dirty “the best hard rock band in the world,” to Wackypedia: “In the beginning, God created the heavens, the earth and then Band Maid…” They all wear the Maid “battle armor,” which has seen several iterations. Very similar to KISS evolutions. I love being the guy who recommends the absolute best song for next reactions. Ask anyone. I am the foremost expert on Band Maid musical recommendations in this hemisphere 🌎 (in my opinion 😉) I’m old enough to be your younger brother, and I grew up on real rock and roll music, too. You are going to love this band. They are ridiculously versatile. Pick five random songs and you’ll never believe it’s the same artist. Here’s my choice for #2: “DICE,” official music video. Of course, the Maids destroy everything and everyone in a live setting; however, a few songs come across really well in the studio format. Please voice your opinions, likes, dislikes, anything at all. It helps me recommend stops during your journey Welcome to the family 🙏
Band-Maid's lyricist is the band's founder, Miku Kobato, and she likes lyrics that allow the listener to read between the lines. She can be clever mixing the English and Japanese languages together, using inter-language homonyms, puns, and other linguistic tricks. I've found that it's fairly easy to get translations of their lyrics and that the lyrics are *always* about something - Band-Maid doesn't do nonsense songs. You're correct about audience interaction. During live shows they know how to get the crowd going and during breaks they do Q&A with the audience, lead the crowd in cheers to "Bless the Concert" all the while trolling and joking around. They do energetic tour de force two hour shows that leave you exalted. I saw them twice last May.
Echoing all the other comments. Just a brilliant band with excellent musicianship. To me the ultimate song of late is their latest, Shambles, and as referenced the dual videos of Dice & Hate?. The guitar and bass play is spectacular! Enjoy!
T , Welcome to BAND-MAID enjoy your Journey down the Pigeon hole , MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin. any song from there channel would be great .
They are each in different "styles" of maids. Misa, the bassist, is actually wearing a Chinese servant clothes. I think Saiki has a Spanish influence. Akane the drummer also does but hard to see.
Another good band for you to check out would be "NEMOPHILA". Any song will do!!!!! Also a band out of Korea called "ROLLING QUARTZ" their newest song is called (Fearless)!!!!! Good reaction!!!!!
Just did a live stream and did Nemophila. Going to do them next week on the live stream, their cover of Detroit Rock City! Thanks for the suggestion, and stopping by!
With how much love I see for Saiki's voice, I feel the need to point out on most MVs over a couple years old she sounds rather generic with how much engineering was done with it. Another group you might like, even though it's only 2/8 women, is Wagakki Band. A good overall introduction would be Wagakki Band - 焔 (Homura) + 暁ノ糸 (Akatsuki no Ito) / 1st JAPAN Tour 2015 Hibiya Yagai Ongakudo On another different note, if you like Black Sabbath you'll probably love Ningen Isu. Fun place to start that journey is Heartless Scat
Welcome to the “Maidiacs”. Our Maids are one the best bands on the planet and we are many and loyal. You will see this if you continue down this pigeon hole. All of their videos are great but many of us think that “Official Live Video” = better than OMV. Cheers from Texas! 🇺🇸🇨🇱🤘🏻😎 And oh yeah, Misa Misa Misa!!
I would say that in each way they all wear some kind of maid outift. The guitarists are just the more obvious one and the drummers are more of a simpler, shorter, and less frilly (since she is hidden behind the drumset and it gets hot up there) but the bassists outift looks more like a chinese style maid before western influences and as for the singers outfit it would be like she is a "lady-in-waiting" which where unwed nobility who served higher class nobility as dressers and personal assistants.
I love watching first time reactors to the Maids. You get it man. There are so many brilliant songs for you to see. You will become a 'Maidiac', just like the rest of us.

And beyond.
Thanks for all the information. I appreciate you checking out the react!
@@tscompendium4602 Subscribed coz I reckon you'll be checking out more from them. They literally don't make bad songs and they have 220+ of them!
Great observations for a first time listen to Band-Maid. Their live shows are unbelievable.
More surprises to come from one song to the next BAND-MAID Will leave you craving more and more.
Welcome! The girls on the drum riser are playing "hengao". Making faces at Akane trying to mess her up....
Live Band Maid is best Band Maid....

"what is it about Japan and all girl bands?" They are energetic, happy and just all around more pleasant to watch than grungy Western male bands! 😂😂😂
All of them are wearing some form of a maid uniform, just different styles and even culture's uniforms as each prefers.
you could have put your finger on it... if you look... yeah it has gotten jaded and lost it's enjoyment appeal!
Thanks Mr Wave ! I'm glad you're here to give some weight to some of the finer points of the Japanese music scene .🙂
@@frankandre4385 Thank you. I appreciate it.
The guitar finish is a quilted finish. It’s actually achieved by using a translucent coating over the wood allowing the grain to show through. They usually split the wood and flip it over to match the grain.
Thanks T! Welcome to Band-Maid!
I like the look of surprise on the faces of those that get it . Band Maid top tier for any period in time , and always pushing to get better .
Fun reaction ty
👍👍👍👍👍
such beautiful ladies making beautiful music. These girls rock pretty hard. And seemingly have some metal ish sections but i find it more of a driving rock sound. They rock tho.
Shes so amazing vocalist vocks really great bend and song. parfect scampering!!
You can't go wrong with Band-Maid. These ladies are epic talent incarnate, you can literally pick any song and you won't be disappointed. 👍👍
I think your new life had begun when you found BAND-MAID. It's going to be a glorious one!
Enjoy the greatness!😊🕊
I've seen Band-Maid play Domination live three times in the past year and it's been like this each time, even at the Sonic Temple Festival where many of the people had never seen them before.
Welcome to the Maidiacs, T. Great reaction. Don't apologize for repeating awesomeness.
It will be fun to watch you fall head first down this Pigeon hole PO.
Their first: Thrill
Their latest: Shambles
From the same show: Freedom
"Shambles" is their latest, but with more to come!
@@waynebenedict5785 Thankfully.
As long as Miku wears the French maid costume it will still be "Band-Maid" singular
You can pick any one of their songs and the maids will blow you away every time! Best rock band on the planet, hands down.
Congratulations 🎊 You've found the real gem. ✨🥰🤘
Congratulations on improving your life tremendously by finding the Maids!! Arguably the best rock band on planet earth 🌎 today. Stick with the journey down the Pigeon hole and you’ll see!!
Next, back to the beginning
- “Thrill” - official MV
Then 130+ remarkable songs across every rock genre and influence you can imagine distilled into a genre all their own!
Congratulations on finding this band! They are special!
1 million of those 4 millions views views was me..........just sayin'.
Welcome to Band-Maid, these girls NEVER disappoint.
They are just as much fun off stage as on. 10years running with the same crew and they just keep getting better, The Beatles didn't even do that.
We Maidiacs will NEVER let you down....

MISA (ミサ, stylized as MISA) - Bass player. Born Oct 15, 1992, the Barefoot Assassin.

Kanami Tono (遠乃 歌波) - Lead guitar and composer. Born Sept 28, 1991, the Natural Airhead/Genius.
Akane Hirose (廣瀬 茜) - Drums and band manager. Born Dec 14, 1990, the Gorilla.
I'm also gonna throw a couple of recommendations for bands out there if you don't mind:
Nemophila - Rise (Japanese, all female, leading light in modern metal)
Hanabie - Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now (ANOTHER all female band from Japan, they're truly changing the game. Just got to see them live in London, outstanding)
Alien Weaponry - Kai Tangata (Metal from New Zealand, sung entirely in traditional Maori)
Electric Callboy - We Got The Moves (German comedy dance-metal, so much better than it sounds)
Otyken (Siberian folk instruments mixed with modern pop production, really interesting to listen too)
I have more suggestions in the back pocket but I really can't stress enough how good these ones are (particularly the Japanese bands, they're truly taking over the metal scene at this point).
Peace, Love and Metal my dude ✌️🤟
Thank you so much for your kind words, taking time to view my reactions!!! That really means a lot to me, and TY so much for the suggestions... I'll definitely check the out and react to them!
There is a tradition of women preforming the entertainment in Japan. BAND-MAID understands this in the creation of BAND-MAIKO. Glad you like them.
Subscribed for more Band-Maid! Great reaction and observations. My fav band I've ever seen live and all around fav band!
During the guitar solos the pigeon miku is banging her head so hard , shes makes herself dizzy n falls , welcome to the pigeon hole maidiac
You have just witnessed the best Hard Rock band on the planet. For more fun see Freedom live with longer Akane drum solo thrown in to the live version.
Akane (drummer) is wearing a Maid outfit as well. The other two were never keen on the idea of wearing them though.
So I was right about the Tiger Stripe... Thanks for the info and stopping to comment and listen to the react!!!
Think of it like this ...the three are your maids...one is the hostess... and bass player is the one that kicks your ass out! Lmao 🤘😎🤘
If you like this band, please check out a rock power trio from Mexico called The Warning. They are three sisters that are fantastic! A good song to start with would be "Disciple" live from their Teatro Metropolitan concert 2022.
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! Saiki (Lead Singer) Spanish Maid MISA (Bassist) Chinese Maid Miku (Rhythm Guitar/Backing Vocals) French Maid Kanami (Lead Guitarist) circa 1940's Nurse Akane (Drummer) Bellboy.
I love watching people discover Band Maid....
WagakkiBand, my favorite but like this also, along with LoveBites.
Maidiacs Incoming! 🎉
Congratulations, sir. You have just won the rock and roll lottery 🏆
Enjoy the comments, from fast and dirty “the best hard rock band in the world,” to Wackypedia: “In the beginning, God created the heavens, the earth and then Band Maid…”
They all wear the Maid “battle armor,” which has seen several iterations. Very similar to KISS evolutions.
I love being the guy who recommends the absolute best song for next reactions. Ask anyone. I am the foremost expert on Band Maid musical recommendations in this hemisphere 🌎 (in my opinion 😉)
I’m old enough to be your younger brother, and I grew up on real rock and roll music, too. You are going to love this band. They are ridiculously versatile. Pick five random songs and you’ll never believe it’s the same artist.
Here’s my choice for #2:
“DICE,” official music video. Of course, the Maids destroy everything and everyone in a live setting; however, a few songs come across really well in the studio format.
Please voice your opinions, likes, dislikes, anything at all. It helps me recommend stops during your journey
Welcome to the family 🙏
Thanks I appreciate the info and appreciate you checking out my reaction
They are one of best bands in the world they have no bad songs
LUCKY!!! I'm jealous you saw them twice!!! >:P
Love your enthusiasm!
The bassist is an assassin maid according to Miku, Hence the nickname The Barefoot Assassin
Hey T! How about these ladies? Just pick a song by them. that's right, any song! They will NOT disappoint!
Best Hard Rock Band Today.
Maybe ever...
His Holiness TinyHat-san welcomes you to the Unseen World of BAND-MAID, on the road to World Domination.
With how much love I see for Saiki's voice, I feel the need to point out on most MVs over a couple years old she sounds rather generic with how much engineering was done with it.
Another group you might like, even though it's only 2/8 women, is Wagakki Band. A good overall introduction would be Wagakki Band - 焔 (Homura) + 暁ノ糸 (Akatsuki no Ito) / 1st JAPAN Tour 2015 Hibiya Yagai Ongakudo
On another different note, if you like Black Sabbath you'll probably love Ningen Isu. Fun place to start that journey is Heartless Scat
Welcome to the pigeon hole! I went in and never came back !
With Band-Maid, I don't much care about the translations. TO me, Saiki's voice is another instrument, and I'm fine hearing her that way.
you're right it is!.... but if they take time to put lyric's I like to know what they are saying.
Welcome to the “Maidiacs”. Our Maids are one the best bands on the planet and we are many and loyal. You will see this if you continue down this pigeon hole.
All of their videos are great but many of us think that “Official Live Video” = better than OMV.
Cheers from Texas! 🇺🇸🇨🇱🤘🏻😎
And oh yeah, Misa Misa Misa!!
Try "Manners, BLACK HOLE live" next. You're welcome!
All mrmbers are wearing a variation of a maid outfit.
Pause much?
If I don't YT Blocks my stuff... I had 4 blocked this week
