Thanks Dave - they sold out of the 5 micron filter are the RV show, but Clear2O has promised to send me one when they become available. I will report back with my thoughts in a future video.
Randy…very informative video. We stopped using the 1 micron in-line filter because of the poor flow rate. After watching your video, I may need to try the new 5 micron in-line filter. Safe travels.
Glad it was helpful! I like the 1 micron filter, it helps to conserve water when we don’t have full hookups. We are going to test the 5 micron filter in the future and will update you in a video. Safe travels.
We used this dirt guard and filter last year but the water pressure through it was terrible, especially as it got older and more clogged up. Its nice to be able to clean the pre filter / dirt guard but that 1 micron filter is a killer for water pressure. I like the idea of the 5 micron filter allowing much better flow... but it'll also allow bacteria up to 5 microns, which is a lot of bacteria. Will be looking into their larger 2 or 3 filter systems and paying more for that higher level of protection and better water flow.
We will be teis still better testinng the 5 micron filter video to see what effect it has on water flow. Keep in mind the 5 micron filter is better than the other inline filters on the market. I like the idea od a canister filter system, but we do not have the room for one as we travel.
That’s an interesting question. I never hand an issue with mold in the filter after not being used for an extended period of time. That said I always drain the water out of the filter between uses. I will forward your comment to Clear2O and see what they say. Look for a follow up comment here in the future.
Here the reply I received from Clear2O: As for storing the DirtGUARD replacement filter instructions, it is always recommended to empty the system when not in use. Gently shake out water and allow the filter to air dry. If the filter has not reached its full capacity, once dry, the filter can be re-installed for dry storage and future use. Never use soap or bleach to clean the filter.
Great Info. Let us know how they well they work and thanks for sharing. Take care. Dave.

I wish someone would invent a filter that also is a softener
Great idea, make sure you patent it. It could be worth millions.
If your rv sits for a few months before using it again, can you use the same filter again, or would there be mold growth in it?

Thank you.@@ZephyrTravels
I really want to see test results for the water filters. Is there anywhere we can find that.
I would suggest you. Heck on Clear2O website. If you don’t find it there then contact Clear2O directly.
