I spent 50% of the playtrough trying to perform the wildest movement tricks thinking that i was supposed to, sometimes getting soft-locked even. Then i looked up an item guide and realized that the movement is supposed to be trivial when you got the right powerups. Turns out that the game is perfectly fine if you want to sequence break a bit.
@@rompevuevitos222 Yep, just beat it and for awhile thought this game had some insane movement tech to get down for some parts, turns out i just missed the wall run power up. Super fun to try and sequence break for a couple hours though. Had such a fun time

@@stanley8006 wdym hollow knight You lit have portales You can set up anywhere to shorten the run backs and 90% of run backs are shorts so You don't need tp
basically when you backflip at the moment of landing out of a slide jump, you perform an ultrahop, normally it goes backwards but if you flick your analog precisely (or keyboard) you can make it fling you in any direction, actually i didnt even know you could do it out of a regular slide, but i think its still an ultrahop i described here
you can do an extra high backflip jump any time you change direction very quickly, you'll hear a small skid sound effect when you are turning sharp enough, if you do it after a slide jump it makes it an even higher backflip jump, but I'm not sure the exact method the runner is using to get it to go in front of him, looking at the keypresses it seems like he's tapping backwards right as the slide starts then jumping forwards and somehow it counts as him changing direction and lets him get the super jump, don't know exactly how it works though. 🤷♂
I got this game last week, installed it yesterday and finished it today in 6.5 hours of play (counting me being lost). I thought "Oh well, if I get a mental map I can definitely beat this in under 2 hours easy" so I look this speedrun up and fall flat on my face seeing the 11 minute mark. I guess with the AMAZING movement physics here it'd be obvious. And like, I'm not even mad. I feel good for the 6 hour mark, it's genuine, it's the raw, unfiltered metroidvania experience with no guides. God knows I enjoyed this game
It's a tech, and it was nerfed in the current version to a 2nd level long jump boost (blue) to be a bit more consistent instead of 3rd level (yellow)... And if it is possible it's probably almost frame-perfect to get the yellow jump (I know it's possible to do get yellow super jump with Solar Wind). But yeah considering the upload date this was uploaded like 2-3 days before the big update came to Pseudoregalia.

It's not a slide jump! They actually use a ultrahop! It's a very difficult maneuver where you backfill out of a slide.

Just the default F11 keybind, it windows the game screen which can be used to create a small lag spike for stuff like wall clipping
