I still don't get why people love screaming, the song was okay until that. It's not even that I can't understand the lyrics (they're in German right?), but the screaming expresses little.

Try and change your mindset to the voice being another instrument rather than a vehicle to communicate lyrics and it may help you enjoy it abit more. Just like any other aquired taste it takes alot of exposure before you fully enjoy it.
I always see it as, with how aggressive this style of music is and the general tone and themes the music conveys, normal clean singing wouldn't have the same effect as harsh vocals imo. I really enjoy them.
