@@slyfox7452 i had this friendly quarrel with my 24 yo son recently. he's got skyfall by adelle above this. objectively, i think the tone and rhythm of skyfall is similar to several bond movies while this LALD by mcartny combines different themes to depict the overall flow of the movie
Roger Moore was a magnificent Bond: charming, funny, serious when needed, handsome, lethal, heroic. No less than 7 Bond films (I doubt any 007 will beat that). Live and Let Die was a great Bond film. Hard to believe Moore was 45 when he started.
Hard to believe he was older than Sir Sean. As a Scot is seems sacrilige to say Roger was my fav and this film in particular but i guess I'd put that down to my age, born a touch earlier it would no doubt be Sean and 1 of his films, if born more recently probably Craig and 1 of his.
I know it's going to sound weird but it also felt like his version of Bond had a slight more respect towards women than Sean Connery's version, like yes even if he did like to sleep with many of them, he didn't just see them as sex objects meant for his pleasure
@Randy White i think only because we grew up on his films. he was mine too for a long time. but as i got older and more objective, his campy style may actually be the least in terms of substance. still entertaining though, especially at that time.
Seymour does shine above the entry as a whole (also, Moore is quite plausible as a field operative - something not necessarily true of his last 3 007 films) 🎥😎

In the 90s a friend of mine who I rented a room off would quite regularly (if in the kitchen together) put an egg whisk up his sleeve and wave it at me saying "Mr Bond".
Wow 50 years old this year... makes me feel old growing up and seeing this on the TV when I was a little boy... when I saw this the first time (1993) there hadn't been a new Bond movie since 1989...
His character was named Baron Samed in that movie I remember meeting him at the movie theater I worked at the movie they were showing was a view to a kill
Love this song, but also brings back memories of high school. My art teacher was the designer of the Tarot cards in the film, brilliant teacher and artist and lovely man

real Bond fans don't look for new shitty so-called JB movies with shitty youngass so-called actors.....to me, JB franchise ended in 2002. P. Brosnan being the last legit Bond.
Yes, that's what characterizes the film... It is a very different film, in my opinion. It has no special gadgets or anything in particular - just a drug chase! But a great movie.
I felt like the Maxell tape guy sitting in a chair being blown away by the sound coming out of the speaker….at 8 years old in a movie theater. It has been my faysong since I was 8….I am 60 now….EVERY time I hear it, it moves my soul and I get chills. I’ve heard a lot of music…this song changed the of a little girl musically…
I only knew this song in Shrek 3 and now I found out the song was a part of a Bond film. Wow and I saw it. That is pretty bad ass. A great start to Roger Moores career as 007 from 1973 to 1985 the longest Bond actor to grace the silver screen since Sean Connery took the 60s by storm. It wouldn't be 007 without him.
great, great tune...one of the best villain lines is from this flick... James Bond: “My name is...”..interrupted by Mr Big: “Names is for tombstones Baby, take this honky outside and waste ’im”...
Forever the Genious Paul McCartney my friends. And that R.I.P. the Immortal Sir Roger Moore that was one of the Fucking Best James Bonds/007 in the History. Thanks.
I sound like my father, but I honestly and sincerely feel sorry that the kids today will never experience that summer song that all the radio stations played back in the early 70’s. I remember working summer jobs and loved when the song “Grease” came on or “live and let die”. We didn’t have cell phones but feel like we were the last generation that can listen to a 50 year old song and remember what we were doing when it was playing, The music today is popular for a couple months and then it is onto the next song
Wings member Denny Laine passed away today. He was 79. Him and the band made some great music over the years. Late summer 1973 memories. One of the best summers of my life with great memories and a fantastic Bond movie.
I love this movie and this theme was great. I also think Roger Moore was the best Bond ever as he had the perfect mix of humor, charm and ruthlessness. Plus, he was the one James Bond that you would've loved to hang out with as he seemed like he was down to earth.
I used to say live and let live. But slowly i am begining to understand the reality of this world , and that live and let die is the only option. St Michael.🖤.
Can't believe this song is almost 50 years old-Still sounds spectacular!
Roger Moore Gentlemen ( R.I.P)
Rip Roger Moore, a true amazing agent. 🥺😞
I liked him in The Wild Geese. But his pre Bond film, The Man Who Haunted Himself is an interest.
Even was as bond
He was, I met him and he suggested I should be the next 007.
More than a Gentleman. He was a knight. Sir Roger Moore.

Yeah, that McCartney guy has had a few masterpieces!
Live and Let Die was the first Bond movie I watched. Roger Moore had a great warmth and charisma set him apart. He is my favorite Bond actor!
O meu Bond favorito também.
Mine too. 👍
Mine too!
Best Bond movie ever. Scared us the first time seeing it .
Jane Seymour, a truly beautiful woman. This Bond theme is one of the best if not the best one of all.
Its a close tie with sky fall
I agree about Jane. Fifty years later and she's still gorgeous!

Legendary.
The Bond film franchise seemed to go more family friendly with Sir Roger . With Sir Sean it was more dark with a more adult theme

Enjoyed the music and Roger Moore as James bond. Brings back memories of watching movies with my dad.
Each title song had its own quality about it. Live and Let Die... powerful intrigue.
Stunts in this one... set many bars.
One of my favorite 007 movies ever. Great memories.
me too
Me three.
I watched this 007 movie several times in years... my interest was always beautiful Jane Seymour...
Yes indeed. The greatest Bond girl of them all.
Goddess

Brilliant film, soundtrack, actors. The lovely Jane Seymour and Rosie Carver.
Gloria Henry played Rosie Carver
R.I.P. Henry McCullough, amazing guitarist! 😢
This song is so frickin" good that I've even set it as my phone ringtone.
Paul McCartney je kraljina.
Wow
One of the better songs
Jeez, that will wake you up in the morning

Very funky movie with a funky soundtrack 😆
Three reasons to watch Live and Let Die: 1) This song, 2) Jane Seymour, and 3) the speedboat sequence.
Lmao 😂
4. Unzipping Solitaires dress with his ⌚️
Don't forget the bus chase
All the Bond film songs have been good to great, but this is the best of them all. Thanks, Paul.
Some are terrible...Madonna? This song is one of the best, and the film also. Great characters and brilliant non CGI stunts
the first james bond movie i saw at the movies as a kid, and been a roger moore fan ever since, hes my favorite 007 of all time
Agree. He's the best Bond ever.
Almost outrageous in 2024. In a very positive way 😊
Action, thrills, suspense, and dramatic music, with interludes of calm and romance. Perfect music score for a bond theme
Roger Moore was the coolest James Bond 007 I love this movie live and let die I'm so glad it was around in my time awesome movie awesome song R.l.P. 007 Roger Moore
Best bond theme by a mile
One of my all time favorite bond movies thank you very much for your wonderful work through the years always
Bond had some of the best henchmen and Villains. I also love the gadgets they had for Bond they kept him safe or out of trouble.
Nice tune & bond too ❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of the best songs and opening titles
A great song that went perfectly with the movie. Speaking of the movie, the speedboat chase might be the best action sequence in any Bond film.
And sheriff pepper helped
When I started on this path l thought I could save everyone.
But now !!!.
Great film. The Sheriff !!
just brilliant.!!
In the 90s a friend of mine who I rented a room off would quite regularly (if in the kitchen together) put an egg whisk up his sleeve and wave it at me saying "Mr Bond".
LOVED the boat chase and the cop Roger will always be my fav Bond
This was my very first Bond movie at the age of 6. Watched it with my dad and grandad. Loved it.
No one was as suave and cool as Sir Roger Moore.
AGREED!!!
First Roger Moore Bond film and my favorite of his ... with the introduction of the lovely Jane Seymour!😽
This is the perfect Bond movie song. Dig the funky breakdown in the middle.
The middle section is a reggae. It was written by Linda McCartney.
Wow 50 years old this year... makes me feel old growing up and seeing this on the TV when I was a little boy... when I saw this the first time (1993) there hadn't been a new Bond movie since 1989...
Roger Moore was the gentleman of bonds.
Proper Englishman. He had style and a charisma all of his own. The way a bond should be, a legend.
Sean Connery better tho

Same here. I was a senior starting in Sept '73. Fun year and great music.
Lyrics
When you were young and your heart was an open book
You used to say live and let live
(You know you did, you know you did, you know you did)
But if this ever changing world in which we're living
Makes you give in and cry
Say live and let die
(Live and let die)
Live and let die
(Live and let die)
What does it matter to ya
When you got a job to do
You gotta do it well
You gotta give the other fellow hell
You used to say live and let live
(You know you did, you know you did, you know you did)
But if this ever changing world in which we're living
Makes you give in and cry
Say live and let die
(Live and let die)
Live and let die
(Live and let die)

Roger Moore had the best posture of any human I have ever seen.
Gary Beauchamp what about Sean Connery
Connery
He was an English Captain in the army which might explain it.
One of my favourite Bond films.
