Paul really had the bass punching through on the Wings Over the World tour. It’s was very prominent on every song, including the ones Denny or Jimmy were playing the instrument on. It was the same on the 1979 Wings UK tour actually. He was making the bass really sing. It’s only been in the last 15 or so years that he’s progressively turned the bass down at his gigs. So much so that you’d barely know it was being played at all at times, particularly in the louder songs.
That's the concert. Band on the Run came out in '73 though. I know cause I listened to it nonstop for a long time. Then Venus and Mars, then London town. I knew every squeak of the pick and every crackle in his voice on these three. Also on the first three Queen albums.
I didn't say that! But. Now that _you_ have, maybe it is true .... I loved a lot of music, Pink Floyd's DSOTM included. But upon thinking upon it, it is probably true that I liked the first three Queen albums and the three Wings albums better. Btw, I don't dislike the rest of their œuvre...it's just that these three stand out to me. Like the early Whitesnake, another example. Well, I did dislike the later whitesnake, so its different a bit.
@bramblebop1904I asked because it's nice to see someone liking something more than Floyd for a change,I think a lot of people jump on the Floyd band wagon and listen to them just for the sake of them being so popular. When I hear Linda's keyboard/Synth work, Floyd keep coming to mind, especially with the "Little bit of luck"track. The '70's were so fascinating!

@bramblebop1904I'm just curious,do you like Wings and Queen better than '70's Pink Floyd?
