Exactly. After I got divorced or when my husband got locked up is when I put myself through school. He did not even attend my graduation of trade school. I worked at the school part-time and then another job. But after I got with my current fiancée is when we changed jobs and I went to the various units now I work full-time and get a pretty good check weekly. He left the company but I am staying put for the time being. I might transfer if I want to be around family current location we don't have family in this city.

I want her to SUE them too. Her ex husband got half of her assets in the divorce settlement. Once its proven WHY he married her (marriage fraud) and that he framed her (framing innocent person for a crime is a crime itself) I could imagine the courts ordering him to give her all of it back with probably some extra on top for pain and suffering. My fantasy is him having EVERYTHING sued away from him and ending up on the street as a beggar literally scrounging in garbage cans for food. I hated him (and the father) THAT MUCH.

Thus being able to do both. Her family and ex screwed that possibility & they deserve to suffer for the rest of their lives while OP & her kids move on happily without them. My new suggestion is for OP to have her auditing company offer internships to college accounting students, to help grow her business and help the students get real world experience. It would definitely help her business grow long term.

No one could figure out how it happened and no one apologized as far as I know. There may be audit trails but only if you look for them. If they thought they had the culprit, then why bother to look further. Banks used to allow things that they don't anymore so I dont' know how old this story is. People could claim they were family and wanted to put money in someones account as a gift or stuff like that. and well meaning tellers would give them the account number because there can't be anything WRONG with adding money to someone's account for them, Right? I'm just a bit confused because it reads like the only evidence OP had was overhearing her father on the phone and him admitting things to her without any witnesses. Then again, I live someplace where "it's not what you know that matters, but what you can prove in court."
Did anyone trace any of the money that was in any of the accounts or did they all just go, "hmmmmm some money is missing and you have a bank account that has a bunch of recently-deposited money in it. We don't know what happened to the other money or where this money came from, but I guess that means you did it!"
Can I know which bank system this is so I can ensure my money never gets placed in their institution? lol

I understand that she was blacklisted from working as an accountant but she could find other jobs. Instead she stays home feeling sorry for herself. I understand feeling depressed at first but this continued for years. Going back to school takes money and time. She needs to get her financial situation together. This sounds pathetic, hope she turns her life around. About winning the lottery, this does not happen to everyone and would not be realistic as a plan to fall back on.

If I were her I would fully and absolutely disown EVERYONE in that family except for her sons and it would be for the rest of their lives and I would not even attend their funerals after they die if they die before me. What is more, if they fall on hard times and end up homeless or impoverished themselves I would take special care to make sure that my charity that I set up to help impoverished people does not help THEM at all. My little sister even moved out, but while working, she’d come over for lunch, make mac’n cheese, leave half of it on the stove and not clean up after herself. And if I didn’t clean up her trash and leftovers, I’d get in trouble (even though it wasn’t my mess!). Also, cooking wasn’t the best thing to do in case I had a seizure, so instead of giving me easy things I could make, they’d give me their leftovers.
When my hubby saw how everyone treated me like trash, he took me away from them as fast as he could! We got married, and he took me into a completely different state!!! (He spoils me a lot 🥰)
My family eventually saw everything pileup and no one wanted to clean up after themselves. They all started to yell at each other, and a lot of food went to waste because they had to throw away everything in the fridge because nobody wanted leftovers.

My father, a PTSD WWII vet and was abusive never said anything until my sister and brother started their s**t. I was 6-7 years old. I was shamed, made fun of. My brother beat the crap out of me, while my older sister would say right in front of me, “Mother, are you going to let her eat that?”, all the freaking time. I grew up with such a complex that it did so much to me. Very long story short, probably because karma is real, my sister ended up being EXTREMELY overweight, my brother?, well let’s just say he’s in own penance for the rest of his life for things 99.9% of the people wouldn’t do. I’m 62, and I’m very slender even after 3 kids. I actually thank them cuz they made the person I am today. People would continually say to me, “why don’t you say anything?. She absolutely deserves it”. No, I’m better than that. Just like what they said to me, I know how it feels. I’m not that way. You don’t need to say anything. OP is still responsible for not taking control of her life and getting her act together, rather than blaming other people for her woes. Why didn't she open a case and have the bank and bank transfer investigated, in the first place?
Bandhu did not take OPs children away from her. OPs drinking and irresponsible behaviour (ie no money, no job, not paying for school, not looking after her children) were the cause for her loosing her children.
OPs life may have sucked, but she was responsible for her own behaviour/actions. The only thing she was a victim of, was being framed at the bank. And, having a bunch of crappy, selfish, unloving (users) people in her life.
OK. After final update: father and Bandhu are absolute criminal a--holes! Maybe OP should use some of her money to put those 2 misogynists in their place and to teach them to stay in their own lanes. Hopefully they will never be able to see OPs' boys, ever again. Maybe the sister could be useful in a laundromat, somewhere?
And, thankfully, no innocent children will be taught by or influenced by those morally inept people.
I hope OP never lets anything ever get in the way of her family, her happiness or her plans, ever again. Wishing OP all success in her new venture with housing for less fortunate people.
OP, I am so sorry that you had to go through so many trials and tribulations in your life. I am happy to hear that you were ultimately strong enough to pull yourself out of the spiral you were in and turn things around for yourself and your boys. The same for the ex, except I would also demand the return of everything he gained in the divorce, a claim for all the lost earning, and lose custody of any remaining underage kids, and be forced to owe compensation. Personally I might also consider seeing if he could be castrated in jail :) As for the Bank, I'd go utterly nuclear on them for the unfair dismissal. It was their procedures that failed. It was one of their employees involved. It was them that effectively got her black listed. I'd go for all those years of lost earning, at least tripled for loss of advancement.
