The comment that said not to blame parents, whoever said that is quite an idiot. Parents know their children. They know them more than anyone else. If you truly did not do this, your parents should have believed you. If they have been in your life and watched you grow up, then they know you didn't do it. To throw you out and cut you off and, worst of all, not having your back through all this. I'd listen to what they have to say. If it's not an apology or even if it is, I'd tell them to go to hell. Along with all the people who know you well for believing her over you. I have a 26 year old son. If someone accused him of this, I'd already know they were liars.
Seriously! Gentlemen, if you are accused, YOU CALL THE COPS AND HAVE THE COME INVESTIGATE! Men who are guilty, don't want the cops involved. YOU NEED THEM TO PROVE: THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF THE ASSUALT, BEYOND HER WORD, AND SHE CHANGED HER STORY THROUGH INVESTIGATION. You need to force this issue INTO THE COURT! Where they need proof, beyond a shadow of a doubt. Once the cops dismantle her story, you sue her for defamation, or the cops bring false charges against her. All these stories where they get video evidence to shame the bully... bs. If you had called the cops in the first place, you would never have been cut off, and she would have had to answer to the one authority that could truly hold her accountabele.
Works in a perfect world, unfortunately we are fair from a perfect world. My brother spent 2 years in remand waiting for his trial after a girl he hooked up with decided it was better to lie than admit she cheated on her bf after they had an argument. There was no other evidence aside from his word against hers, and it was thrown out of court pretty much right away, but it hasn't stopped him from losing 2 years of his life then, and has cost him several jobs when someone has found out what he was accused of.
"Two who years and you never did [anything]." Yes, 2 whole years without any kind of proof. Yeah, it would do so much good to try to do something without proof. OP was fortunate that it never went to the authorities, or he would have spent years in prison... because that's just the way things work these days. There are far too many of these kinds of accusations that end in tragedy for the guy. It should be noted that even OP's 'friends' cut him off. But what about the money for college? Parents: Pay up or stay cut off. It was not bad enough to just to believe a liar over your own son. Then they PAID the liar out of funds that they had saved for years for OP. Pay up or shut up.
