With hyperpigmentation being an issue for me, was really needing to find an effective product. This video was clear and informative. Love your honest reviews . Thank you!
Could you do a video on your recommendations for cleaning beauty blenders and makeup brushes? What’s your technique, how often should we do it? Thanks! I’m a big fan since you’ve taught me so much about being intentional with my skin care! 😊
Soooo with the powder sunscreen- Colourescience actually did research and figured out that counting to 15 with their powder sunscreen absolutely covers your face and gives the proper protection.
Susan i gotta know, are you & your team working on a spf spray?? I neeeeeeed a naturium spf spray for this summer PLEASEEE?😍 ever since picking up your dew glow spf I cannot look back to another brand for spf. Thank you for forever evolving & influencing my relationship with my skin 💞
Love the Coola spf 30 spray. The spf 50 is a little too greasy and ouchy on the eyes. I have the eminence powder sunscreen. I had the same concerns about coverage (and the terrible applicator) so I dumped the powder into a separate container and use it generously with a fluffy powder brush.
What about face oil and sweat when reapplying SPF? I'm worried about acne. Everyone touches their face during the day, and i feel like I'm just clogging my pores and smearing around bacteria and oil when I reapply my spf. Sometimes I'll blot oil with a tissue... But is that enough?
I worry about that too. So I mostly stick to reapplying with mattifying powder sunscreens or maybe a mist sometimes... but I don't like things I have to rub in because it feels like I'm just smearing my oily acne-prone skin around.
I would be wondering how truly safe it is to use? Has there ever been a test/review done on the coverage with a UV sensitive light? As a review it would be nice to see some type of evidence as it is invisible..
Hey Susan! I just wanted to say that A LOT of the ingredients that make sunscreens effective are excluded in American markets. Meroxyl-5 which should be in la rosche posay is excluded and replaced with titanium or cakey zinc
Just started following you and I just bought the elta md stick to try as I don’t wear heavy makeup! And I’ve been feeling like my powder spf isn’t working !! Thank you 🙏🏻
Even with a 1/4 teaspoon of sunscreen spray, wouldn't it still not provide enough sunscreen for the face and neck compared to reapplying with regular sunscreen? It sounds like there isn't a "perfect" reapplication method to reapply sunscreen while wearing makeup, except for forgoing the makeup completely... Hopefully there will be a better method in the future.
I was wondering if you could add what UV filters/ingredients are in each product when you talk about SPF products. I’m noticing that I’m sensitive to certain ingredients and it would be so helpful! Especially since there are some products with innovative or non-traditional Western filters.
You are right that powder ones don't give enough protection. I saw a video of a woman applying different forms of sunscreen on her face in front of a uv camera and the powder hardly showed up. The best were sunscreen lotions and sticks. I'm sure there are some powders that are better than others though because I know there are some compacts that dermatologists approve of.
Hey Susan, thanks for explaining e everything in so detail. My skin gets better after following your detailed information shared over social media. Can you please cover how to reduce hyperpigmentation in under arms and legs area please
You gave great advice for tatcha sunscreen of which I purchased 2. Then the elta md is also perfect which both you and my skin specialist also recommended and I bought. Love this video.
Help! Started tretinoin and EVERYTHING is making my skin sensitive.. including mineral sunscreen. Any suggestions as to what creams I can use to calm and soothe?
Spray anything is not for me. I can't stand getting it on my clothes, my hair and all that. I get V Beam laser treatments, and have largely given up gluten which is freeing me from having to put on foundation to cover redness. I do my eyes + brows, and at this time of the year, put on my world's best La Roche Posay Invisible UV MUNE 400 from France maybe 3-4 times daily. I have a couple of UV mirrors that when I start to fade to gray and not BLACK, I will put on my SPF AGAIN! I am 58 and not fooling around anymore. I am serious about protecting my skin and my LIPS. Putting on UltraSun Lip 50 about 60 times a day. The most important thing to me right now is arresting my face and neck right where they are. I use red light therapy and microcurrent too and putting very concentrations of Retin A on nightly. All this has made a HUGE difference. My jaw is firming up, my skin is looking better, marionette lines are disappearing. Even my neck, well, thank you OmniLux, you've made an enormous difference there!
Colorescience Sunforgettable brush has SPF 50 and is full physical sunscreen…not sure how you say you don’t get “enough” coverage with that. If you apply it correctly you will get all the protection! Apply it in small circles 2x around full face and you are protected! I’m the whitest of white and I’ve been using it for 6 years and have NEVER had a sunburn with that product on. I reapply every 2 hours and it’s perfect. I also have melasma and my melasma actually has not been stimulated in the summer because I use that product. I swear by it! I would give it another try honestly.
Thanks for these recommendations! The LRP SPF 50 spray is great too! Have you tried the Supergoop SPF powder? I just ordered it and can't wait to see if I prefer it to a spray.
Hi can you please review abt the 7ngredient of la roche posay toleriane ultra moisturizer cause it has opoiod if I believer in its ingredients which is given name nuerosensine
When will naturium be available in EU? :( We can get some products at the american amazon shop, but not even half of it... :(( Can you at least make it possible to get all products from amazon send to the EU?
Okay, I got the Kahi Aqua Balm. It applied like butter and has a light fruity fragrance. HOWEVER, I am returning it for a refund because it pills like crazy. I thought I'd ever so lightly pat it in but as soon as I touched it, it pilled like a face mask. I do not recommend the Kahi Aqua Balm--it will do more destruction.
I just ordered the re setting spray since super goop had a 20% sale. Who buys $100+ of sunscreen? Susan Yara followers that’s who 😅 but to answer your question, I usually just use a beauty blender and pat it on for re application

I like the pace in which you speak. Not too fast. Not to slow. It keeps the video entertaining and interesting.
And she gets to the point
Anything skincare from Korea I trust right away, especially sunscreen. They don't f around with the 🌞😎
I prefer the powder sunscreens myself. The skin cancer association has stated two passes with the Colorescience spf powder is enough coverage.
Me too...I use the one from Dermae:)
As a person with very oily skin, I also prefer a mattifying sunscreen powder over a greasy spray or stick.
I hope this applies to the Isdin one as well?
What do you meant by 2 passes
@@salmakhan6498 I think they mean 2 layers
Right on time! This has always been a struggle of mine. Thank you for this video! This is very helpful!
I’m currently looking into a sunscreen product to reapply for on-the-go. Thankfully you made this video. 😊

@@jenlyynguyen counting to 15 seconds. There’s a RUclips video on it I believe 💗
@@overcomingobstacles8675what if I count to 16?
I started using the EltaMD stick and have noticed that it does leave a pretty strong cast
I also love using the unseen sunscreen and dabbing it on. It’s really undetectable!
Does it dry down matte or like greasy/oily?
@@dakotahjadee it gives me a dewy finish

Trying sunbetter in the compact that adjusts to any skin tone and the clear stick. Bought from my dermatologist.

I have a stick specifically for my eyes and lips. I don't reapply the eyes if I have eyemakeup. That's where sunglasses and a hat come in.

Just ordered the aqua balm hope it works well over makeup for my upcoming music festival
How did it work?!
It stings eyes
I love love love the colour you have on your nails in this video 😍 which colour is it (I couldn’t find it in your description).
Wondering if pressing it in with a beauty blender is actually removing it? Wouldn't the beauty blender soak it up off the skin?
That is my thought as well… unless the blender is coated in it as well. I would probably just leave it.
Same thoughts
Perfecttttt thanks for showing us!

I’d love a spray to not contain fragrance and alcohol. It drives me nuts, neither are good for your skin but every sunscreen type spray has it.
