Sourcing takes a long time. I fly to Shenzhen, China 5 times a year and even when you have a meeting set up, fly all the way there, and show up, the factories are not prepared for you. This may have to do with the thousands of flakes that contact them a day for cheap quotes. China is still the wild west, and is VERY relationship driven. I bring bottles of very nice scotch to my favorite factory owners every time I come. Spending $100-200 on a gift for them will pay off in thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars for you. Paying them a bonus for hitting deadlines and reaching AQL levels is important as well. You have to incentivize their commitment to you!

Susy G you should do videos on your experiences.
Literally just click the Assessment Verification. It means Alibaba has been to the actual facility and has the paperwork etc. Nearly impossible to be scammed that way. I never have and I have a good relationship with a few suppliers. You just have to do a little research that's it.

I don’t understand many negative comments about Alibaba. I have purchased for the past 2 years products with them and have not had one complaint. All products are just as expected.

Say Wah no, some seller offer one item sales or as much as you want but make sure you pay attention to shipping cost,. Sometimes its free and sometimes its 5 times the cost of whatever you're buying!
Say Wah no you don’t need a business. There are really good vendors on there, I profit a lot from many items. I order for business and for personal use.

I used aliexpress and oberlo which made it easier to link my store to aliexpress and transfer products onto my store but alibaba seems to be more complicated and manual, Like how do you fulfill orders and stuff, and dhipping is way more expensive. Admittedly I have never bought things wholesale, but I have imported from multiple foreign countries. A lot of people like to mention Japan and China when they speak of importing from Asia, well I have ordered from both Japanese and Chinese companies, and the difference is night and day.
The Japanese companies, in addition to usually better quality products, have excellent service. I only had one fucked up order and all they requested was a single picture of the flaw, once I did it they shipped a replacement completely free of charge, both the product and shipping cost. I didn't have to return it, or any of that kind of bullshit a lot of companies in the US and Europe force you to do. Chinese companies on the other hand... products are not universally bad like some act, but they are very hit and miss. The service is also terrible, if they fuck up it's kind of a _shrug_ oh well.

I agree with you 100% and have items here right now that was not what I ordered. After some fighting and arguing and with the help of my bank I got my money back on a couple items. You want to know the strange thing? They would not give me a return address to send the item back. I wonder why?Very informative and glad I seen your video.

I was trying to find out about their tractors and farming equipment for I am a homesteader. I was wondering if you knew if their tractor equipment or mechanical equipment is all not importable? I also find that people complain about things being made overseas cheaply and I am a bad person for desiring to get the best deal out there for my money. The corporations, manufacturers do not care about me or my bottomline. I will trade worldwide and feel insulted when folks put the blame for economic wows off shore. I feel when we stop the ability for me to import whatever I desire to purchase some how is wrong and will be outlawed???????

It only protects the supplier. The dispute team will never listen to the buyer's side even though you have provided all the evidences such as poor quality items, worst paints, defective items, broken items, missing parts, etc that they required. Let this be a warning before dealing with Alibaba.,..
How I know what seller isn’t a scam and how do I know my order would cone
Must look for the Trade Assurance on their page and you'll be protected by alibaba. No Trade Assurance then you'll most likely get scamed and they'll run off with your money. Check if the site has been Checked by alibaba

Jacy Vert I highly recommend that whatever merchandise you’re planning to purchase, make sure to request a sample first before you order a whole sale. You wanna make sure it’s something you really are happy with before a major purchase... also look research thru Alibaba manufacturers as much as possible for their number of years in business, reviews, product details, etc. There’s good & bad & I’ve learned my lessons the hard way dealing with from the worst suppliers to the best.
Nobody can answer that unless the companies you are looking at are properly researched. You haven't given us any possible way to answer your question. There are almost a million results for pallets on Alibaba, so how are we supposed to know if the one out of a million that you found is one you should buy from or not?

I haven't had a bad experience as far as the quality of my items. However, I did discover the hard way that you can't just buy wholesale items and sell them online, because it could infringe on other company's intellectual property. So you definitely have to be careful of the things that you do buy because they were possibly already someone else's idea. And you get flagged on sites like Amazon and Etsy. They don't help you out either. You're just stuck with products that you can't sell, until you hire an attorney.

@@JirenT Yes, you can use a wholesaler's design and apply your branding. They give you permission to do it. It's called white labeling. Of course, there's no clear concise way to prevent all problems, some will eventually come. There's also no perfect way to run a business. Most things are trial and error. However, since my 1st and only experience with a Trademark issue, I now check the US Patent and Trademark website for items and other things that I'm interested in selling. Trust me, it's gonna be your best friend and save you lots of money and headache. If there's no patent or registered trademark, it's fair game. It's worked well so far. On the Alibaba site, I only do business with Verified vendors and I only pay through TradeAssurance. It basically safeguards your money and if a problem arises such as quality or if you do run into a trademark or counterfeit issue, you can almost always report the issue and get a refund. Also, it's a good idea to invest in LegalShield. They have attorneys for almost every issue and you only pay a fraction of the price. Mere pennies on the dollar. As you will find, many major companies engage in a practice called trademark bullying, where they will block the sell of an item that may not have anything to do with their trademark and you will need help from an attorney to be able to sell the item again, because the big company will eventually stop talking to you about it. All things you will learn doing business.
@@neliduartee6335 One example is, I purchased some pendants from a company to sell on Etsy. Apparently, the original designer was selling on Etsy too. I had no idea until she reported my shop and I received an email from Etsy. Although she isn't the trademark holder, all people have to do is report it. Etsy will jot get in the middle of a battle between shop owners. Their main phrase is for you contact the reporting party to work it our or hire an attorney. The person could easily send you a message and ask you not to sell the item, but most shopnowners are very nasty and just automatically report your shop. Too many reports against you, and Etsy or Amazon will close your shop.

Hey John, I'm a craftsperson who makes a niche product-- a leather wrist strap with a specialized loop that allows you to hold a bicycle- flashlight on your hand-- I'm desperately trying to figure out how I can make an order of quality USB chargeable flashlights.
Before (And I know this is a terrible business practice) I would literally buy these USB flashlights from the local sporting goods place at $14 and sell them at cost because the main issue was just selling the custom leather straps.
But now I need to really get serious about finding quality USB chargeable flashlights. I see Alibaba is a minefield for someone like me with no experience in wholesale... Is there some sort of "Middle-man" who already has a good relationship with a quality manufacturer who I could reach out to? How might I find such a middle-man?
It doesn't matter if the product is made in China or America, I just need a quality product that my customers will be satisfied by.

I don’t recommend buying from them. For example it seems they stole designs and marketing images from the company Unidragon and are selling cheap and shoddy copies of their jigsaw puzzles on to other companies who are then stuck with big batches of them that no one wants - so they are forced to try and rip off their customers by selling them on. The jigsaw puzzles are so bad they are almost impossible to do and they don’t hold together. They’re also not the size they were advertised as. They’re a total scam. I wonder what their other products are like?
