Bike of the year indeed! The best built E-Bike out there. Plenty of speed, smooth ride, and tons of options to choose from. Nobody offers that but E Cells
I 100% agree! I love my 5 star! If you know how to do your own adjustments on your brakes, derailleur, and etc, this is the best value on the market hands down at less than 2000!! Once I got everything properly torqued my ride has been amazing on trail, tarmac, gravel, you name it!!
Absolute EXCELLENT video for several reasons. None of the dozens of YT videos I have viewed so far have bothered to show the quality of the welds (along with the aspects you covered). What are they thinking? The structural integrity, reliability, and safety of high-speed e-bikes mostly depends on the weakest link of the chain -- which is the welded joints! And it's a particular concern with Chinese products since they don't always settle on the most skillful workers for such jobs. Welds are critical IMO. And you are correct, these welds look good. Other bike I've seen are not so good. And you covered that aspect eloquently, unlike the other dozens of YT reviewers who overlooked it. A big thank you for doing that... a superior video which many likely won't appreciate. Great job! Thanks! I'm buying the 2025 Dual 5-star II.
A month ago I would've agreed, but now the Wired Freedom comes with a dual 60v batteries (35ah total) and a more powerful potted controller (45a) that brings the motor to a peak 3200w, without a price increase - still $2000; the brakes got upgraded too. That's a very tough value to beat. :)
Indeed! Also, it has the balancer to run both batteries simultaneously. 2 days ago I got an email saying containers are now landing in Los Angeles port so we should all be receiving our new Wired Freedom soon! This rivalry is about to get interesting 🤘
@@stoffel6348 I agree! Should be getting mine very soon. All these bikes look the same because they are manufactured in China from the same factory. Just like everything else made in China, depending on the appointments it is rebranded and distinguished with a few slight adjustments or accessories. These are low end builds and a pretty good bang for the buck in these days of inflation.
I personally never owned a Wired bike but I know that having owned an E-Cells 5 star that this is for sure a solid heavy duty piece of machinery. If you know your way around a wrench and bolts you will quickly learn that it is a bike that is easily maintainable as well
I love my 5star, I wish I could also buy the new Wired one with the new upgrades. Also, Ecells is top notch when it comes to customer support. I had an issue when I received the bike, and Mr. David Cleveland himself took some time out of his day to call me and make sure that I was happy with my bike. Awesome bike!
The Wired Freedom is a HUGE bike. You need to be at least 5' 11" to ride it. The seat at it's lowest point is 35 inches off the ground!!! And the inseam of the rail is 29 inches high, meaning if you're 5' 8" like me, it's too big.
Why does it take so long for Ecells Ebike to send out anything you order don’t they realize that their customers base is old as hell and will probably die any day we are tied of waiting for stuff that we have ordered 🤬
How tall are you? I'm 5' 8" tall, and would like to know how high that bike seat rides off the ground? I have to turn to the eCell because the Wired Freedom is too big. How many inches is the bike seat off the ground?
The motor on my Five Star is pretty loud and the faster I go, the louder it gets. It starts to vibrate and makes a high pitched whine. Does your bike do this?
It definitely gets louder, but I have not experienced a vibration there’s a good fan page on Facebook you might be able to find somebody with this problem.
@@Trailtested do you know, does the duel battery version add more power or just more distance? and how much more distance you think? wondering if its worth the extra money. thanks.
With dual batteries you may have a little extra power but if you ever upgrade your controller, that’s where the dual batteries will shine when getting a little more power out of it. But it’s basically for range.
LOL, self proclaimed bike of year , so funny, Wired is totally better, now that we know E-Cells has wobble in the steering and Facebook groups by owner trying to cover it up, they ban you for comments or the Ecells doesn’t allow you make a comment to fact check him, whooom sounds like someone else who doesn’t like fact checking, wired best customer service ever.
I’m just a reviewer lol but I have yet to see a wired bike go down a black diamond mountain bike run or hit any jumps they tell you not to off road their bikes😂 either way it’s just a bike. Don’t take it too seriously

Very well done! Beautiful bike! Can’t wait for mine to arrive!
Thank you. Did you opt for the five star or did you get something else?

What bike did you order how long you’ve been waiting?
@@Trailtestedyep they posted the same comment on my video and I asked the same question with no response. 🤔 Hmmmm
Yup people just trying to stir the pot.
@@Trailtested yep
Excellent review and great bike!
Just wish they offered a motorcycle road tire with thick walls.
get some HEB Allscape tires, they are monsters that I've already put 7000 miles on
That thing is sick! Rims are tits! Amazing review Man!
I ordered mine August 20 still haven’t received it
What all options did you get?
Are those 24" or 26" wheels?
26 incher

This bike from ground to seat post sits 1 inch shorter then the Wired. I’m 5-9
@@Trailtested Thanks for your response. That's very helpful. Which size bike do you have? The 17" frame, or the 19"?
No problem, 17inch, my wife is 5,8 and she sits flat foot
@@Trailtested Okay, then that will work out fine for me too. Appreciate your videos and your response.
You bet use my discount code to save a little money if you do purchase thank you
What happened to happy run is she Ok?
Everything still functions, but the throttle sticks so I have a new throttle tube coming ⚡️
Thats close to what happened to me but it was my charger that was on pre order for like a month take care

the seat height seems a bit low for most, i'm 6' and am tippy-toes whilst on my Fat Tire seat..
I have the seat post dropped to its lowest position they also make a 19 inch frame. This is the 17 inch.
The year ain't over tho 😏
Is this 17 or 19 frame ?
19”
2 months ago he commented that it is the 17 inch (it looks like the 17 to me but that is just MHO)
If only they shipped mine yet 😕
It will be worth the wait, but ya I think every company is having slow import issues right now.
Do not buy E-Cells!!!
They will not refund missing bike options not delivered and do not stand behind the product!!
Buyer beware!
dude, order the rockshox rear from ecells. What a difference!
Really? I’m all about it!
Where is the horn?Company cheap out and did not add a horn?????
You can customize these bikes to your liking if you wanna add a horn you can! Check out there website you can build them how want:)
is the 17" size or 19? Thanks
17 inch frame

It won’t really add any more power just range but if you ever upgrade your controller with those dual batteries, you can get more power for sure
