I've used this raft on a few official PVE and extensively on my single player maps. I know you're getting a lot of flack from the PVP crowd, but it's perfect for a PVE map with a lot of river terrain like The Center. I used the Stone/Species X variant to farm beaver dams or clear out alphas and garbage bary/spinos around my main base. Works like a charm for that. Only issue I've come across so far is forgetting to pack enough fertilizer.
Listen I get raided all the time. My best advice is become less of a target. Build in non-populated areas, and don’t build next to any resources spawns (Example: metal spawns, crystal spawns). Then also build your house out of stone and don’t upgrade to metal until you get turrets. The reason for this is unprotected metal bases are the highest target base. Like just don’t talk in chat ever to, cause people will start to look for your base. I recommend a bush base where you build in highly dense forests and leave the trees up and get your wood from another forest. Very effective. But then once you have all your metal for a base, prebuild all your structures so you can place it down quickly. Like I said it’s pretty much just staying under the radar. Also don’t have any huge tames like a bronto or a Rex. Just have a pack of dire wolfs and have stegos for your tanks/ harvest.

if you place a fence foundation lined up with where your flag sut be then place a pillar on the end of the fence foundation . That allows you to lower the foundation instand
If playing on small tribes which most should do if you are playing alone, use nearby refining forges and smithies to get gear quickly and make the initial base out of stone though i highly suggest adding the necessities (mortar and pestle, smithy, refining forge) and moving to a less player frequent area (away from spawn locations) and then finishing off your base. this will get you built up a lot faster that way you can focus on other things like dinos or defense or metal.
put fence foundation and pillar on top then snap foundation to that faster and easier way to sink foundations plus i personally find it better 3x4 and 2walls high an puta giant hatch on the top so u can have bird in the raft .
This video is very helpful if people are starters to raft build (lowering foundations) and also a very good pvp raft tutoriol. But for sure I will keep this boat design in mind.

This time it makes sense because you can just have that stuff on land, to save raft space (plus that's when stuff starts getting far too valuable to risk losing when a raft gets destroyed)
Does it have purpose, that outside foundations are one up? I kept them hidden in raft floor, and everything seems okay, it sails. Wonder if it is to hide raft from other players, because that wouldnt affect me, since i'm playing solo. Anybody knows?

Actually, he did a pretty bad job of it, should have started with a pillar not a foundation as it places much lower meaning less steps and less resources. xOneWingx has plenty of videos where he demonstrates it.
Dunno bout everyone else but raft bases i make that have lowered foundations usally dont get hurt by enemies under water or not (including whales) but might be cause i play on ark mobile

How to destroy ANY raft. 1- lowered foundation safe room so bullets cant get u. 2- wood foundation where sail is with 2 thatch ceilings going outward 3- c4 at the edge of thatch ceiling. 4- drive boat as close as u can to wall, c4 detonate. rinse and repeat

Whale splits that boat in like 2-3 hits. the whales on center is a nightmare ur kinda bound to the island you spawn on till u can put a balista/turrets.
Ive gone through so many foundations.. i get them to sink but every time i start klaying out the last layer it wont let me put a foundation in the corner.. what gives

Flo Bot dont park near the coast, alpha tribes or people with the right gear can get you easily. But if you're in the middle of the ocean on ragnarok then you're pretty much safe.

There's a better way to center the build. Have a pillar out, enter the raft, boom. Pillar is centered.

it's not a problem to build real boat hulls fully equiped inside with all the working inventory

I tried to make the same raft and it didn't work out. The side ramps didn't match with the ceiling, it had a gap between the wall and ceiling
