That was a good breakdown. I’ve got a couple small local tournaments coming up, and we have a few Hierotek players. Hopefully I can remember some of this!
Thanks for the video. Definitely missed that Cyrpteks and Plasmacytes have fly while I played these guys. That'll be a game changer next time, for sure.
As a lore player(meaning i only play things because i like the lore) necrons are they only ones rn that i play, hierotek were so bad, near unplayable, but their weakness stays, they are very few, 6 attacking 2 for missions, if by any chance you dont kill 1 or 2 models every two or three shots, you have lost(i mean against 10 or more model killteams). And if it happens like it does with me, that my psychomancer(blast, splash, 5 dice 3+ ap2 weapon) hit 5 models with 8 and 9 wounds, and only killed one, i literally missed a minimum of 3 dices every shot except the last one, 2 crits total, taking into account the first shoot was 5 dice missed on 3+, so i did with 25 dice, like 10 damage, ridiculous
Great vid again. Thanks for sharing. I’m 5 games into HC post buff (4-1) and they definitely have game. I don’t think they’re overpowered, you have to work for your wins. I’m still failing to use command every turn or get the most out of the accelerator cortical ploy or conduit. I like the play you mentioned with the Aprentek up top, will give it some thought
I’ve been looking for this kill team since it came out, and I finally found it yesterday at a small game store. Super pleased and now I’m trying to figure out how to build them. Thinking 2 gauss, 1 Tess, 1 death mark
Most people only really use the Teslas in close quarters. For mine, I figured out how to magnetize the guns, thankfully but without the Lethal 5+ they get from close quarters the teslas feel underwhelming. The big thing is getting your hands on the other leaders. Specifically The Chrono.
@@KimerexProjekt I do plan to buy another immortals box on top of the chronomancer that way i can have all the options I want. The bigger issue is finding people to play with. My store has 2 groups of 2 but they refuse to talk to each other or me rip. They just play themselves.
I like to play 2 deathmarks. One goes teleports on a objective to cap and possibly shoot. The other stays in the back and snipes at stuff. Gluing the Apprentek gave me PTSD
Once again, awesome guide! Question: Next to the 'narrator' mini there is a little 'pet' (or whatever it is) - does it ever speak, or is it just there to provide company?
It's name is Greg. It has an emote over on my Twitch channel. Whenever I get comfortable in the process for making these videos, he and others will start to have voices.

Big 40K and also Kill Team? Or mostly Kill Team? Hmmmmm... The base box for this gives you a technomancer, which you can use in big 40k if you're looking to start necrons. I like the team in KT, though. They've been buffed multiple times. Even more since I made this. I feel like they are fun, but I also like Warpcoven, and they play kind of similar right now.
@@KimerexProjekt Thanks for the fast reply appreciate it. For right now only I want to start only with KT, if I start with the Big 40k is still unclear, its a big new world for me so I have to start somewhere XD and my friends told me KT is a good start
@@hithim_ Nice. If you have SOME interest in Necron as a faction going forward definitely grab them. If your mostly looking for a playstyle, think of them as undead , and their guns are great. melee is middle tier. "spells" are fantastic.
Yeah the way the box is designed is kinda scummy monetization wise You'll want to buy a second box of deathmark/immortals and a second cryptek BC the two not included in the box are on smaller bases
Thanks for the vid. One note. Doesn’t Tesla weave hurt units that charge you? Not the other way around.
Did i say it was that way? Cuz I know it when things charge your unit. Which means the error is extra annoying. Guess I'll make a mini addendum later
Nice video! Will you do an overview for phobos?

gives your low to the ground Cryptek a vantage point benefit. love that stuff
What i need extra mini's to play them?
Love the video by the way 😘
If you want ALL options. Out of box, they are playable, though.

Just remember that the Deathmark that uses the teleport is considered to have moved and then can't shoot with it's heavy weapon.
Just finished the psychomancer was… nearly impossible to build lol

@@KimerexProjekt Heh. I can easily imagine Greg interrupting to ask follow-up questions, or with some snarky comment or anecdote 🙂
Would a plasmancer make a suitable substitute for an apprentek?
It’s the only model in the bespoke box that doesn’t have an obvious proxy.
It could. As long as the base size is the same, the model itself seems larger than an apprentek which means it's not being modeled for advantage
@KimerexProjekt and option for update Hierotek?
Or is video up to date? :)

Great video thanks
Where can I find these cards that were shown of screen during video for each unit
The info cards? The unit info is in the Shadowvaults book, or the Annual 2023 book. Outside of that there are... online methods of getting the info.
Which faction is next?
Dunno. Bunch of people asking for Phobos. Saw some legionary stuff. Exaction. I'll have to figure it out. Happy people seem interested in these.
@KimerexProjekt nah man phobos is so prevalent. Do Pathfinders!
@@KimerexProjekt do Hunter Clade pls 😇

Wait plasmancer isn't a cryptek choice?
Nope. Tech, Chrono, Psycho. Maybe in the new incoming index rules? (doubtfuil)
What do you think of the new buffs now?
I talk about them in my recent Dataslate vid, but I like 'em. Good to see the Apprentek get elevated.
Mayhaps a pathfinders guide? 👉👈
out of the box i only can build the technomancer?
Yep.

I would like to see Exaction squad next
