after i read this book whenever i see Ferry and Crusch having banter i have the feeling someone is missing (like they themselves probably do) that's what this book did for me. oh and the end made me quite sad. i really liked him and he definitely died too soon
if you want to know how Crusch and Felix met and how their relationship developed a bit more, i recommend reading "Saga of great Crusch-sama begins" side stories, whenever you have time and drive to read it.
Great to see you starting on the Ex volumes! Tappei considers them to be required reading, and with what some of the later volumes focus on it makes sense as to why. Pretty good time to start reviewing them as well, we predict that Ex 6 will be releasing sometime soon and will probably be the third and final installment of the Sword Demon Love Song trilogy (Ex 2, 3, and presumably 6). Unfortunately you'll almost certainly catch up with the Ex series before the English translation come out (the main volumes of Re:Zero are well known for having their translations delayed, but the Ex series has an even worse problem in regards to that). Hope you enjoy, Ex 1 is by no means a bad book, but it definitely is my least favourite of the 5 currently released (and having read the Comic Alive version of what Ex 6 probably will be, that trend will continue). And on the note of how essential Ex 1 is, although most of it is just good character tidbits and the introduction and conclusion of Fourier Lugunica, there are some small things which are definitely integral to the plot that are introduced here (won't mention the most important one, since that's currently playing an integral role in Arc 8 of Re:Zero.)
@@dvanepope5602 Please don't tell him what he should expect from the beginning, leave him to form his opinions. And don't provide justifications for why you didn't like it here since that'll just be spoilers. I encourage you to do so once he releases his Ex 2 and 3 reviews though, since that will be a good place for that discourse.
@@kieran7265 im not telling him what to expect, if he didnt like ex 1 much he could as well dislike wilhelm trilogy. Im telling him that so he wouldnt get disappointed both ways
Great review,Yes you might wanna re-adjust the expectations,Ex are great compared to most regular side stories but end of the day are still side stories. But all Ex's are pretty different ,so you might like those more, my fav is ex5 personally
First also i think that is better the background of character not being in a ex or side stories they don't have to me at least the same "value" like crusch is royal candidate and a very important character and we get her complete background in a side volume? Nuh i liked what tappei did it makes thinks more interested while not giving the answer

where can I read the side stories?
9:49 Felix forbidden magic technique is a foreshadowing on arc 7 and 8 at the moment...
Oh that's mega spicy...
Enjoy the EX stories!

That's fair, I'm still looking forward to the Wilhelm ones even if they aren't as eventful as the main story

Ex 4 is the best in my opinion because Vincent is one of my favourite characters.
