You can clearly see the moment when Wilhelm cut tie with Reinhard, that is when Wilhelm asks "Do you regret cutting Theresia…your grandmother?" and recieves the answer "No, sir. I did what was correct. I have no regrets.". Not when Reinhard kills Theresia but right at this moment that Wilhelm change the way he call Reinhard from "Reinhard" to "Sword Saint Reinhard". Wilhelm angry that Reinhard doesn't feel anything toward the act of killing Theresia like regret or remorse.
I dont see a problem in both archbishops leaving, all of them came for their own goals, when they realised they cant get them they left. And you forget the fact capella can transform in to anything so she can spy on the entire city through birds. Anyway NOT leaving is a much worse choice in their situation especially with the fact that Reinhardt is on the way Also love how you pointed out the difference between al and subaru in terms of their abilities. Many people jump to conclusions without putting much thought.
Well the Archbishops leaving does make a lot of sense as we know that Reinhard had finished his battles and was on his way to the next. As to how the Archbishops could have known that; remember that the gospels are actually a guide to their future. The gospels would have certainly informed them about Reinhard, who might be heading their way PLUS they knew that there was no way that their objective is going to be fulfilled now so there was no need for them to stay any longer. It might seem convenient to the plot but logically it makes sense. The Archbishops are no warriors who are just going to complete their fight and then leave. As for the Anastasia plot; It's fine if you didn't fell much about her character, BUT should I remind you that she is associated with JULIUS. Doesn't that make Julius's tragedy even worse, not even knowing that the master whom he serves and admires is not even HERSELF, but instead possessed by some sadistic Witch. The author has not yet delved much into Anastasia's character YET, he might be leaving her for later. But for now even if you don't feel anything for her, still it is connected to Julius's character and just makes his fate even worse. Anyway nice review dude. Really interested to see you review for the next arc, which is considered ONE of the best.

You aren’t supposed to care about Anastasia but you are about Julius, and Anastasia’s storyline is far from concluded so her being dormant is something that you will care in the future as a buildup not something you should worry about now.
Also, yen press is hugely hated in the community as their translations are utter garbage and have a lot of huge plot changing mistranslation. Someone made a document that has all of their mtl listed.

@@OverlordDio Arc 6 is agreed by everyone in the Re:Zero community to be the best one, and when you have Anime fans aggreing on something, you know there's something special. For me personally I think Arc 6 of Re:Zero is the most emotional rollercoaster in my life and it was only reading.
arc 5>arc 4 is crazy bro, most people arc 4 in the top 3 easily and it a lot of cases on nr 2 or even as their fav....but I understand your placement, arc 5 LN seems a major improvement from the WN which most of readers are familiar with (just how al is so mysterious, I so fucking hate yenpress, WN had a translation for this arc done by fans in like 2019...s2 ended in early 2021 and guess what...want to read what happens next? well fuck you cuz vol 15 eng just came out and if you want arc 5 LN fully wait till late 2022.....). I am very open for s3 to change my mind about arc 5 since I found it pretty mediocre in wn format (all the hkk! zush! boom! kyaa get old really quick), but I remember the Theresia chapter being one of my fav wn chapters ever....probably because I was also shocked at how LONG it was.....but nothing will ever beat a6ch54 (vol 23 ending) for me. The cover is straight up art tho, I bought this volume when s3 was announced sort of like a little "celebration" (I wanted the Shaula one BUT YENPRESS AT IT AGAIN).
Yeah, I know it's controversial in the community, but I don't rate Arc 4 as high as most people. Arc 4 probably has higher highs, but imo it's overly convoluted and meanders a bit during the middle. Although Arc 5 is more "generic" and battle shounen-esque (for Re:Zero standards), it's more consistent throughout, if that makes any sense...
@@OverlordDio yeah I understand your train of thought, for me personally s2p1 (1st half of arc4) was pretty boring at times(the parents episode was a masterpiece tho) I usually lean on arc3>arc4 but arc 4 has echidna and the anime adaptation of arc 4 made me more curious about re0 and led me to the MASSIVE re0 rabbit hole, and I consider s2p2 to be one of the best anime I have ever seen. I think I will have my ranking set in stone when I read both arc 3 and 4 tbh (but arc 6 will remain the best, but its def an arc that need to be devoured in a couple of weeks not wait for yenpress).
S3 will 100% be improving arc 5, no question. Especially if it’s adapting the light novels, reducing the length of the Sirius fight and Lilliana’s babbling (no, I don’t hate her, but that was a low point for sure). That and fight scenes will always be better animated than written. I still think arc 4 better, but arc 5 feels more like half culmination and half set up. Like arcs 1-4 were just the first part of re zero, so if we split it up evenly the series can be split up into 3 parts. Arc 4 and 5 feel very different. So it def relies on your personal opinion on what’s better, battles versus mystery for example.
