Oh yeah man. The mystery is totally buried under a stack of those rocks. Think about it. If they were trying to hide something why wouldn't they burry it?!?

Okay, you are forgiven Chigg. This was everything my heart could desire in a cave and MOAR! I'm thinking 17th century Native Americans, and 18th century European smuggling, then 19th century, possibly connected to the Underground Railroad, then adventure seekers of all kinds?! You never know what you may find in there, but it has such scope for the imagination, and I hope you get it opened up a bit more so it can be investigated further. This is really a super nice cave. Loved the signatures, fossils, and even the old bone. Thanks for the wonderful adventure. Have a great day!

Might think about cleaning some of the collapsed rocks out of it to see if the old ceiling is hiding anything under it. Maybe hooman boooones! Great mini series Chig!

A modern quarter! LOL It reminds me of the Mars rover and the pepsi can. When you said there was a reason they covered up the cave, I thought about how many holes / caves we filled in just to prevent people and animals from breaking their leg. No other reason.
So much history I keep thinking that during the Civil War it was used! So cool! Thanks for sharing! The fallen rocks are just the right size for building a stone wall. Wonder if they could take those out and make more room to get in there.

I would be like..line up bucket time..and start hauling out the loose stone..I guess all that loose rock naturally filled it in..? Or do you think people filled it in? My parents property in TN has a sink hole my father has tossed in whole trees and they disappear...lol Now you have me thinking to check it out as Ill be there for a few weeks coming up.
Eat some of the white mold and see if you survive. Very cool cave. You should also try and dig the end of the main passage out. I bet the main passage goes farther and opens up again.
I'd be willing to bet they put a time capsule in there, somewhere. They could easily have piled rocks on top of it, if they did. Ya GOTTA take the metal detector in there.

Looks like a lot of cave back fall rock. The cave might be a lot bigger if all the rock fall is removed. Those scratchings might be at chest height if you remove the loose rock and soil!
Can't wait for the follow up on this one. Looks like it has potential. Get a bucket brigade going and clear out all that break down. Looks like you should scrape a couple slabs off the ceiling too.
Oh, and on a side note. The white tendrils coming from the "scat" are probably mycelium. Mycelium makes mushrooms. Might want to be concious of the possibility of fungal spores down there since it has been closed off. Dark and damp is a mushroom paradise. Maybe the previous owner didn't want you to find their psilocybin farm.
Great job taking us with you. There definitely has to be a cavern in there further in or below. The fossils seem to give it away that there was definitely further erosion back in the day. Would be nice to measure how far you can go and use that back hoe and dig from above where your measurement ends. Just a thought. Great Job!! Onwards and Upwards!!

I really truly hope you guys see about those bones in there 🙏 You could actually let someone's remains be put into a proper grave. With today's technology you could possibly help someone find an ancestor from the slave days. All in all though, I loved these 3 videos so very much; especially the one today. This was great to watch 👍😃
