For this annual festival many residents wear authentic traditional Dutch costumes, which are hand-sewn in the area. Most worn in events are made to strict specifications, with no zippers-all hooks and eyes-and specific fabrics. Dancers wear 6 to 8 pairs of socks to make the wooden shoes/clogs/klompen comfortable. Here mostly female dancers are seen "clomping" in the streets around the city's Centennial Park.

6-8 pairs of sock to make the wooden shoes comfortable?.. that means they're wearing the wrong size.. a good pair is made toe measure..
they can be worn with only thin socks, or even barefoot.

They are doing a traditional Dutch folk dance that is performed in wooden shoes (klompen). See more description above.

Really quick, before every goes into detail about how much this dance offends them and is historically incorrect, read this.
In 1847, Albertus Van Raalte migrated from the Netherlands to Western Michigan and founded the city of Holland. In a census from the 1990s, Holland, MI was shown to have MORE Dutch people than anywhere else in the United States. Our Tulip Time festival is not for tourism or to exploit Dutch culture, it is to honor and remember all of our Dutch ancestors. And because of that reason, extensive research has gone into the costumes that the Dutch Dancers wear. The costumes represent the many different provinces in the Netherlands- the ones in this video are mainly Urk, Staphorst, Middelburg, Friesland, Marken, and Volendam. Some of the costumes have added color to bring more life to the festival and the dance, but they are otherwise 100% authentic AND handmade.
I personally have never seen or participated in the specific dance that is being performed in this video, I believe this group was simply warming-up and getting ready to perform the main dance (note the other dancers lined up behind and in front of them.) The dance that is widely performed at the Tulip Time festival is about 12 minutes long and quite different from the one in this video.
Lastly, the reason that girls are wearing boy's clothing- These dancers are of highschool age and each group is selected from each highschool in the city. Most highschool age boys, OBVIOUSLY are not going to willingly dress up in costumes and clog dance in the street to lively music. The ONLY reason girls are wearing boys clothing is because this is a boy-girl partner dance, and not enough boys want to dance each year. So girls step in and take their place. No need to be offended, it's just to make up for a lack of dancers.

Klompen niet ver loopen op de straad. Clogs are not designed for wearing on hard surfaces like paved roads and concrete.
They are designed for working in the fields. This dance needs to be done on a grassed area or the dancers will damage their knees and ankles.

As a professional Folkdance teacher Dutch and International folklore I must say that the costumes aswell the dances are
not really authenticiteit. It looks a bit like Dutch folklore but they are more for toerist performance. Also used the mannenstem part dressed tomman not woman..
But however it's nice Dutch People abroad trie to continue our habits and folklore. Maybe getting a traditional folkdance teacht
    teacher for these events?

I did a little research and there is no indication klompen dancing is a Jewish dance.
