I was born and raised most of my life in holland. I'm Puerto Rican. My family from Puerto rico calls me dutch even though I speak spanish and everything. Lol it used to bother me, but I love my city Holland Michigan.

One of my favorite places to be since I was a child spending weekends at family cottage at Holland State Park. The downtown area has many great shops and places to eat. The parades are the best!

Being from the Netherlands (and having moved to the neighbouring Belgium) I like this video very much. What a great place, what a way to celebrate your heritage, and what an attention to detail!

Being from and living the Netherlands it's great to see a little piece of dutch heritage in the USA. I had to lookup what the woman in the mill was saying, she pronouned 'Ambachtelijk Korenmolenaarsgilde' in a very weird way that I as a native dutch speaker couldn't understand. Anyway great to see our regional flags also in this video. Never expected to see a Groningen flag in the USA. :) Defenitely want to visit some time.

Our family went there last year to visit Windmill Island last year for my travel vLog. It was very beautiful but I wish we went there during the tulip festival. Definitely recommend it.

Great video. I have ancestors from the Netherlands. My Grandmother loved Holland and all the flowers. She also had a pair of wooden shoes. Thank you. "If I had but a loaf of bread, I would sell half to buy Hyacinths to feed my soul".

My Grandmother was Dutch ancestry , was very proud of her roots. She owned a pair of wooden shoes, used to make pigs in a blanket, kept things very neat and clean. She had visited Holland in the sixties, a trip She loved to tell about.

I was there in 2001 about a week after the festival was over. There were still a lot of beautiful tulips blooming. I saw the authentic windmill and the Dutch dancers too. It is a very pretty town to visit.

My last visit to the US was also 2001. I visited Pella. People who love the Dutch heritage in the US, should visit more Dutch communities. I only was able to visit Pella, but Holland Michigan is on top of my bucketlist.

I've lived here all my life. I've been in the parades (there are 3 per festival) multiple years with my school marching band and as a Dutch dancer. One year I did the 3.5 mile Saturday parade both marching with the band, and as a Dutch dancer. Keep in mind, during the parade the dancers will stop and dance some. They don't just walk. I was beyond exhausted! I was a Dutch dancer for two years. Performed so many times all over town. I still have my shoes. One of them is cracked. People love the cracked ones! 😊

Lived here my whole life. Our school always has as in the main school parade. The only two times I wasn't was as a kinder dancer. It was much easier as after a small beginning dancing we got on a float and sang the rest of the time. I love tulip time.

Oh my goodness those tulips are gorgeous. Being that we’ve had gloomy, rainy days for the last week, that’s brightened my day! We went through Holland years ago heading to our vacation spot. We did see the lighthouse though. We need to go there for this festival, it looks so fun. Beautiful city.

I visited Pella several times. I know they have Tulip Time. I didn't know Holland, Michigan had it also. I love Pella. I haven't been able to vistit Holland in Michigan yet. I would love to see the difference between Pella Iowa and Holland Michigan. Greetings from Heerenveen, Friesland, The Netherlands

I live in Holland, MI. , for all those who came for the festival, please respect the town! Not because your are a tourist and bring money to our town, you have to be disrespectful and make wherever you want. Traffic here during the festival is chaotic, we have to take our children to school, go tin work and our lifestyle still same. Is not a holiday for us.. and you just came and don't care about us.
