    C&S and CSU are the most popular and well know blow-thru carb builders. I'm sure at some point those guys will start playing around with these edelbrocks once they become more common. CSU uses a custom billet boost referenced power valve along with modified metering blocks to achieve good results where C&S used standard power valves that are sprung backwards and modify the rest of the carb to use their own billet venturis and they are also famous for their "aerosol carb" if you have never heard of them you should check them out.

    I was one of those who commented on a Blow Thru application. Boost reference power valves are the main thing this carb will need . You will have to block off the power valve "Check valve " to prevent boost leak also . Awesome carb, Has plenty of potential of making big power in a Blow Thru app.

      But yeah for sure it’s got a ton of potential. Hope to find out soon what metering blocks might be available. That will really let us know just how much power one could support.

    No doubt, the most adjustable 4150 out there, that can be tuned for every motor. These carbs are finally hitting the shelves and are available, but I have yet to see one video/review about 'real world' drivability on a performance street engine. There's no doubt these carbs will make power on a race or street engine at full throttle with the annular boosters and main body venturi shape, but again, real world, performance street - out-of-the-box performance would be nice to know. Have you installed this carburetor on a street rod yet?

    Thanks. A few things. You are correct it matters the horsepower for a few of these things. Usually you don’t have to worry about things like boost referenced power valve and drilling out some of the metering block ports for moderate boost, like under 12-15 pounds. Most street applications can skip a lot of these steps. And yes, when you go past that it gets way more complicated generally. It’s cool that it has no choke (some others are like this too) and solid floats. Good video.

    That 650 you got is in deed a annular booster type. The leg shape of the booster does not determine its type but how is discharges the fuel. (Look inside at 3:06)

    You will also need to consider the fuel ring size in the annular booster as well as the feed hole size. The ID of the booster in ratio to the venturi is also important.

    • @MuscleCarSolutions
      @MuscleCarSolutions  2 года назад

      Nope. I’m not redesigning the entire carb. The venturi and boosters have already been sorted. If you’re referring to the pin size that feeds the booster, yes we talked about it in the video.

    My 1-month-old AVS2 has a hole in the booster. I'll be calling Edelbrock tomorrow and I guess we're going to test how great their customer service is. This is so disappointing. Carburetor is taking apart and it's like damn, do I even put it back together or let it sit like this while I wait for a new booster, one that hopefully I won't have to pay for. Anyway I posted a quick two and a half minute video on my channel that shows exactly what's going on. I really do owe you for therapy I appreciate you LOL
