Red, let’s forget for the moment how freakin’ tight the band is, and forget about Our Queen’s incredible soaring vocals. Let’s take a pause and just appreciate how damn much they all like being a group, and making music together!!! In many ways it’s better than family - and man, how you can see it in their shows!!!
Alpenglow is the literal translation of the German Alpenglühen. When the sun goes down, the valleys are dark. But the red light of the sun is cast from the mountain peaks into the valleys. Instead of the red sun, you see glowing mountains.

This is a very bass heavy mix from Wembley. Tuomas like to be recognized as a poet more than a keyboardist.

You should check out one of Floor’s favorite female singers. Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. Anything by them is good but you would probably enjoy “Terrble Things” with Ashley McBride. Or Break In with Amy Lee.

So true about the lyrics. I think schools could use a lot of rock music lyrics in class. I have seen comments from people whose teachers played Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Iron Maiden in literature class. Sabaton have endless songs about historical battles (another band you should give a listen to, very accessible and melodic metal with great choruses usually as well) I love Troy in this video, I'm just playing rhythm guitar but I'll just stop for a moment and do a flute solo... lol He plays just about everything!

There's no end to the feel good songs of Nightwish. I have no idea how or where Tuomas comes up with these songs. He can make ya want to jump around and dance one minute then introduce you to the formation of the universe the next - who does that? Alpenglow was my first Nightwish track and it will always have a special place in my heart. A well known streaming service suggested I might like it, and boy were they right!!! That was March 2020. Still down in the Symphonic Metal rabbit hole, and I don’t think I’ll be leaving any time soon. Thanks for the reaction. Great as usual. Love seeing others having the same feels as I do. You’re looking really well. Looking forward to the next track.

It is possible to see Alpenglow in mountain ranges throughout the world. Once seen - never forgotten. Wonderful performance from 2015.
