  • Hi Guys, on this new LaserMania video you will see how to have straight cuts on thick, yes even thicker material (2" thick) it seems with 1/2" and 1" there is not that much difference but when cutting 2" we can see clearly the results, I tried with the 100mm lens first and got better cuts that the ones produced by the 75mm lens but using the air compressor at 30PSI brought even better results, I was surprised to see that only an increase in the air pressure can produce a better and more straight cut, my theory is that the air prevents the Styrofoam from heating which will melt it and distort our cuts, as well as pushed all smoke down making the path free for the laser.
