I want to ensure I understand the logic correctly, so please help me. When we check for a smaller duration, we see one green candle. However, if we look at a longer duration, like a one-hour consolidated candle, we may see a red colour instead of a stacked bar with both red and green. What determines the colour in this case? Especially when the stock has experienced both positive and negative movements during that time period for multiple shorter durations?
Green means the closing value of candle is higher than the opening. Red means the closing of candle is lesser than the opening. Transactions occur every second in market. Candles indicate transaction value for a selected time frame we select. 1m, 2m, 5m, 1hr etc... for eg, if closing value of a share is higher than the opening value of that share in 5min, then that candle shows green when u select 5 min candle chart. Time is an important factor determining the colour of the candle.
