- Learn to fly the Fw 190 A-5 in the IL-2: Battle of Kuban and be familiar with its cockpit, engine start, takeoff, and landing procedures. Various engine limitations, combat use, important airspeeds, and notes on flying the Fw 190 A-5 are also included.
Comments and feedback are always welcome, so if this video helped you out hit the like button and let me know in the comments below. Cheers!
Yes, I just started learning to fly this as well
Another great tutorial. The FWs in general are easy planes to fly, with great cockpit viability ( except fwd), but when it comes to combat against Yaks especially, dogfighting is definitely not an option ( found out the hard way).
renato yap what do you fly in real life. I own a piper tri-pacer a Sonerai and Teenie 2. I've got a stick time in zenith CH-200, CUB, CHAMP, CITABRIA, CHEROKEE, C-152 & C- 172
Isaac Mcpeek I salute you sir! I've only flown two types, the very simple PA 28 161 Piper warrior and the C172. Sadly there isn't that many variety at the flying club where I do my monthly cloud chasing activities ( I would love to fly more but AV Gas is kinda pricey).
Great video mate.
Ahh.. the Focke-Wulf. Very nice topic for a video :>
Eross Van Leer Yeah it is. Lovely plane to fly and stable gun platform too
Well made as always :D
+RequiemBoS *I'm having a bit of a problem pinning a type number to the combination gyro indicator.* Most historical-flight-instrument forums show vertical gyro indicators both with and sans clinometer, and dedicated yaw-rate gyroscope indicators; but I've yet to run across this dual-gyro-and-clinometer instrument as of 8 May 2018.
B. C. Schmerker I'll see what I can find
Ooooh! It's almost like you know how to do it in real life!! ;-D (re Solo Flight Video, of course!!) Of course, the graphics are better on this video though!!
Theraptorxx keep an eye out this week for the RL flying videos ;-)
I came here hoping to find the best way to use the cowl shutters, as the 190 doesn't have water temperature gauge.
In the P-40 video you mention that above 175 mph the cowl shutters should be closed...
Do you have a video on how to use the quadrant throttles on dual engine?
Does anyone know if the A5 has a cylinder head temperature gauge? I see the temperature being mentioned but can't see a gauge for it.
I don't believe the A-5 has one. The CHT numbers are pulled from the in-game technical specifications page.
@@RequiemsACTL Cheers Requiem, that's what I thought. I'll watch the oil temperature gauge closer.
Can i know what's in your pc? I'm thinking of buying a new graphicscard in order to run the new update on movie settings.
Hi Luxi, I fly on my main PC but I record the footage for the videos using a MSI GT62VR 6RD Dominator laptop while I'm on a trip doing airline flying. CPU is i7-6600HQ 2.6Ghz, 16Gb RAM, and a Nvidia GTX 1060.
Remember I wrote you telling you the problems I was encountering since the latest update with the 109 G6? Your response was to say I must be having a "controller problem." Logically, if my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro was the problem, it would causes issues with all other planes. However, I have no other problems taking off or landing with my joystick. All take-offs and landings are smooth. Nonetheless, I still cannot take off with 109 G6, without it rolling over onto the right wing tip. I have tried adjusting my throttle, not apply brakes as often, letting off a little more on the rudder - etc. etc. Still no matter what I do, I still have the same end result during take-off in the 109 G6. Any other suggestions?
Record a track of your attempts to take off and send it to me via Personal Message on the IL-2 forums.
Michael R. Foreman lock the tailwheel its on the left-hand side of the cockpit just below the canopy
I know that, and no, it does not solve the problem. But thanks for thinking I did not know about locking the tail wheel.
Hi, if buying one module...Stalingrad, Moscow or Kuban ?
Kuban...Personally, I prefer the planeset plus the map is simply beautiful.
Thx :)
Stalingrad if you want to fly online on the biggest servers!
Most insist you buy Moscow first. At least Steam makes you buy Moscow first.
Do German airplanes have a downtime to allow ATA 1.3 again?
German airplanes that use MW-50 require use of a downtime before using emergency power again
@@RequiemsACTL And other ones, like A3 or A5?
@@thiagoltk I don't know off the top of my head as I'm rarely able to fly German, but I think for the Fw 190s it's just a time limit at various ATA and that's it. You can find out for sure in the technical specifications in-game. I'm on a phone so cant check atm.
1: my landing speed is 180-200 kmh, why at the and it's say "forced landing"?? 2: and why I hear sneezing sound when make a hard turn ? 3: the plane spinning after landing.
Remember that in a Focke Wulf you need to keep the stick back so the tailwheel stays locked during landing. The whole forced landing thing only happens if you either a) damage the airplane a lot or b) land somewhere that is not considered an airfield. As for the sneezing sound I have no idea
@@RequiemsACTL . thanks very much . will do it next flight.
What is the corner speed of this airplane ?
The best speed for a sustained turn rate should be about 280-300 km/hr
The Air Combat Tutorial Library thanks, but that’s the sustained I meant the corner speed.
@@FGCH03 No problem. Sometimes when people ask for corner speed they usually want best sustained. I haven't done the math or testing on figuring out corner for these airplanes.
The Air Combat Tutorial Library OK thanks hope you have it soon, I love your work, excellent vids.
Yes good, thanks, but it's not pronounced "Fok wolf" (even in Australia), its a Foka vulf.
Thanks David, the pronunciations have never been my strong suit. I was messing up on Il-2 for a while as well.
