yes, absolutely. and Halloween Ends, in retrospect, will be looked at as one of the few instances in horror where the Final Girl actually got to win against the villain and not have that retconnected by a lesser sequel.

Saw Halloween in the theater in 1978, I was 19. I am now 63 and will be seeing Halloween Ends in the theater. Thank you Jamie for all my great Halloween memories. Will really miss both you and Laurie. Thanks again. 🎃❤️

It's great to hear an actor acknowledge how real the characters they play are for fans, for folks watching them, and understand how interwoven fiction is with reality. Genuinely validating to hear.

To think that these films are not shared in her family is mind blowing, seeing that her role in Halloween and her mother in Psycho are two of the most memorable characters in all of the horror genre.
It’s crazy yeah jamie lee absolutely hates horror movies she has always said it in interviews. I love her she rocks but she must sort of seperate that side of herself and films from her family.

She's always said Laurie is the reason she has a career. Even though she doesn't personally watch horror movies and did say she moved away from the genre to expand her career, she's always held Laurie and Halloween in high regard. Love that. She's real, humble, and honest. She's just awesome.

Despite me basically knowing that I will hate this film (sorry, I know too much already, and none of it works for me) I cannot deny how much I love JLC and this franchise. I thought Kills and 2018 were fanastic, and I am basically only watching this finale for JLC and Laurie. She is the real deal. Hope I am wrong about the film itself!
@Nick Xero I do not want any of the sequels or the original repeated. I just don't like where they went with this film (if the limited spoilers I read are true) It was not a logical end to a trilogy. I am going to see with everyone else this week and will wait and see..
@Nick Xero in what way do they develop lore and characters in a way that matters? Micheal was literally a side character on the new film.
@Nick Xero The only new "development" that happens in the movie is...I guess Michael can transfer evil? Even though when I watched the movie, I thought it was more he saw something in Corey and let him go so that he could be corrupted even more by a cruel Haddonfield.
Point is, it hyped itself up as a finale, and it didn't live up to what it was saying.
Folks _want_ something different. Why do you think so many people hate reboot/sequel/remakes?
This is who should interview people. Fans of the movies cos they ask the correct questions and the deep questions. They have the passion. Not someone whose read a plot and still thinks Laurie and Michael are siblings

Great interview but she did this back in 2002 and was supposedly never to come back. Obviously she came back and I do believe that Halloween Ends will be her true final role as Laurie strode and I'm glad she's doing it right this time around.
Gosh, when Jamie was in True Lies, she was sooo hot 🥵 I always have fantasies 😅 but her ultimate role was this, Laurie Strode.

These trilogies were absolutely awful but it was nice to see Jamie. David Gordon Green and Danny McBride have no business directing horror movies. But I love the character of Laurie Strode that John and Debra created. They hit the nail on the head with the original. I just love the character of Laurie strode that Michael wouldn't even have to be in these movies.
I respectfully hope they dont make another Halloween, Jamie Lee Curtis is irreplaceable as Laurie. Absolutely brilliant actress.

No - movies are shot out of order, that’s just the last thing she filmed for the movie.
What she meant was the scenes that were filmed. Not where they fall in the story.

i totally understand things are shot out of Order, but I could have sworn i watched a BTS video of her final day on set and her final scene they filmed was on a Porch, after they called cut everyone clapped cause it was her final thing she had to filmed.. idk I'm pretty sure what she said meant the final shot is of her in a car. and based off leaks I've read that seems to fit. nonetheless i am very excited to watch!

Honestly I feel like the Laurie VS Michael thing is seriously played out. She never should've returned to these films after Halloween H20. That was the perfect send off to her (and Michael actually). I liked RZs Halloween a lot and LOVED RZs H2 even more. H2018 was a big disappointment but Kills was a bit better.

Michael Myers, Laurie Strode, Sam Loomis and every other character in this series do not actually exist.
Sure, we become attached to these characters, but that does not transform fiction to reality.
When you’ve been playing the same character for over 40 years, it does become reality…
