Well sort of a date but hey come on I'm sure most of us fan's knew this was gonna happen. So obviously since the first episode just look at Turner the guy literally forgot how to speak once he saw Duela in that dress she left him completely speechless. Plus later Duela said she'll allow him to hold her hand then got so scared after he got captured she began to almost cry I saw those tears she was trying to hold back. Then the Promo she's desperate to find him if that doesn't say future couple I don't know what does

@@Mariyah0511 Yes indeed you know it's gonna happen when I found out the Jokers daughter was gonna be in the show with Batman's adopted son I so knew something was gonna happen with them you clearly see it here in this scene and the next few that came after. When I knew it would be the two of them going undercover I'm guessing they'll either dance talk about how they grew up then one of those moments show up. Duela was clearly upset about Turner getting captured some think I was just imagining it but trust me she was

Well, assuming this show has a future, yeah, that'll happen. Only if it runs a few seasons, you know what that means. Plot complications. The course of twisted love never did run smooth. Duela has a mass of personality issues, Turner's not that far behind her there. That makes it interesting, but interesting doesn't mean happy. Also, he was very sweet on Stephanie, like five minutes ago. She friend zoned him. Suppose she stops doing that? She's in a very vulnerable place now with her parents, and he's going to be holding her hand too. So you think Duela's not the jealous type? And what happens when THAT girl gets jealous?
Keegan cut her teeth on Days of Our Lives. Soap-bred, Soap-trained. She knows how to milk a love triangle for all its worth. That's where the story is. Not the two of them making moon-eyes at each other every week. Duela can't be Duela if she's domesticated. She wants to be a super-villainess when she grows up. Turner is going the other way.
So how does it all work out? Assuming the show isn't canceled. Stay tuned.

Gotham knights is really getting romantic with everyone especially Turner and Duela and Stephanie and Harper. They're the one's getting closest the most.

@@christian.corriveau716 Well yeah, they had a hot thirty seconds or so in the pilot, but nothing's come of it. Brody isn't a major player on this show. And his dad's the Big Bad. So we'll see if there's time for them as a couple. If the show continues.

They don't really know what to do with him. One big problem of the show is they have too many characters and not enough time. Harvey's subplot has to be serviced. The developing relationships between the six 'knights' is the heart of the show. If they get a second season (CW still isn't ruling it out), they have to pare things down a bit. But since Brody's dad is in fact the major villain now, he's either got to rebel against his father or join him. Right now, he seems a decent kid. But he knows a lot that could hurt the team, if he turned. And he's never liked Turner.
Really nice scene As always, Duela gets the best line, about the 1% being the biggest con artists of all.
Also, damn shame Keegan wasn't born with black hair (as many a lovely strongwilled girl with an Irish name has been). Oh well, that's what wigs are for. ;)
The way she comes in through the sunlight. That shade of lipstick. Those piercing eyes. I’m with Turner, speechless. Just….wow.
there are endgame to be confirmed by maybe next ep or ending of season fingers crossed people fingers crossed.
Please don't refer to a nice romantic subplot on TV as 'endgame.' Like it's a chess game. Or a Beckett play.
There's going to be more development of whatever is happening between them. It could go a lot of ways. Best case scenario, it's the end of The Dark Knight Rises, only they both looked so bored in that cafe. At least Alfred was happy. ;)
@@christopherlyons5900 I just meant there a good ship couple and hopeful soon to be couple goals so you don't need to say I don't respect tv romantic or any subplots cause I do plus to me it's kind of the whole point cause I ship a lot of characters because the subplots are really Amazing but your right best-case scenario they could leave have a few bread Crums in episode nine or make them at least admit their feelings in the end of season 1 which I think might be the best route for me but either way is fine really sorry if I made ya mad but i do think they will be end game soon or maybe in season 2 I'm okay with whatever happens 😅🙄🤗😅😋
@@amarisnelms7790 They are filming in Atlanta. Atlanta is a lot cheaper than L.A., not sure how it matches up with Toronto, where the pilot was filmed. They've just killed a bunch of CW shows. They might give it a second season just so they have something to fill airtime while they shop around for replacements.
Of course they're a good ship couple. But really, what does that say? For some Trekkies, Kirk and Spock are a good ship couple. On Supernatural, fans obsessively shipped Dean and Sam, who were brothers and not the least bit gay, damn it!
Compared to that, the adopted son of Batman and the abandoned daughter of The Joker don't even remotely stretch the boundaries of credulity. Viva Luv. ;)

I'd rather they follow the route of Bruce and Selina from The Dark Knight Rises. "About the whole no guns thing. I'm not sure I feel as strongly about it as you."
He's not Batman. He's not any character from the comics or earlier films/shows. So there's no arc he has to follow. And from what I can see, Duela from the comics has no arc to speak of either. She can't even make up her mind whose daughter she is.
Anyway this is all moot if CW kills the show, and The Hollywood Reporter thinks it's unlikely they renew Superman and Lois. Kung Fu has already been axed. The CW as we knew it is ending. But here's the good news: CW is reportedly keeping the shows they make in Canada. And that's where the pilot was filmed. Bad news: The rest of the season was filmed in Atlanta. Good news?: They could just switch back to Toronto. Or Vancouver. Just for variety's sake.
Correction--Atlanta is also pretty cheap, and the article I read was in Deadline. Doesn't have to be Canada. But unless it's a big success, can't be filmed in L.A.

@@artuovillegas9609 I'm not sure this show can afford Catwoman--retired Selina, perhaps. Seems she's still alive in this reality, but 'hung up her claws'. Just like they can afford Harvey Dent, but not Two-Face from the comics (they're giving him MPD). It works like that with licensing. Also, nobody's spending that long in the make-up chair, and that's a major production expense in itself. Time is money.
We don't know what this Selina's relationship was with Bruce Wayne. Odds are they had some kind of thing going, and she might have some things to tell Duela about a bad girl getting mixed up with a good guy. Still, this story is about learning from the mistakes of one's elders, not just repeating them. Duela doesn't have to be a villain. Or a hero. She can just be herself.
But still got a bad feeling it's not going make it for season 2. Because The Winchester Kung-fu and walker endapendece have all been canceled. And I can't believe it.
It's going to depend on budget and development. Development is going to get stalled by the strike, so they don't want to be axing everything--they'll need programming for next season. The budget should be fairly low, because it's being filmed in Atlanta, which bends over backwards to give production companies all kinds of breaks. The ratings are bad, no two ways about it. But they seem to have leveled off, and could go up a bit for the next five eps. It's a bubble show, but the bubble hasn't burst. Yet. The buzz about Keegan's performance as Duela is helping, maybe. And how many diverse shows do they want to kill after axing one of the first All-Asian shows ever? (I wanted to like it. God, the writing was bad.)
Everybody program their DVRs to record it. Give them some data besides the numbers from Ma Nielsen to think maybe they have a cult hit in the making.
@@christopherlyons5900 Maybe they will put Walker endapendece on the same channel that there planing to move the Winchester to. And maybe do the sane for Kung-fu reboot too so can have a 4 season. That would be a great thing too happen.
@@gailgriffin9882 I don't think so. Those shows are axed, the stars are saying their goodbyes. The network is hemorrhaging money. PBS makes more profit than CW.
It comes down to budget. Gotham Knights isn't cheap, but it's one of their less expensive shows, and it's first season--the longer any show runs, the more it costs to make, because of contract renewals.
Some of their shows could go to HBO Max. But Kung Fu had to go. There's over five million Chinese Americans. The series premiere got almost two million viewers, and obviously many were not Chinese. It was downhill from then on. It's averaged bit over a third of a million per ep this season. There's just no audience there. And it's season three, so the costs are way up.
Anyway, they have plenty of time to figure it out, as long as the writer's strike goes on. No way any GK writers are crossing a picket line. (I guess they could have it written by ChatGPT. Wouldn't that be nice.)
Did a little more research. There was an unconfirmed report GK is the cheapest DC series CW has ever had. That's good. Probably in part because the most famous character on the show is Harvey Dent who isn't Two-Face yet.
Fanboys who whine Batman isn't in it simply don't understand--might as well ask CW to have a James Bond series. They do Batman shows without Batman because they can't afford Batman. They can't even afford Dick Grayson now.
Turner Hayes is a completely new character, Duela has never had her own comic book, neither have any of the others, best as I know. This was all to save money on licensing fees. Take characters nobody really cares about and make something out of them. (Personally, I'm very picky about adaptations of comic book characters I grew up with, so this doesn't bother me).
It's also doing well as an in-demand show. Meaning that it's probably appealing to younger viewers who have largely abandoned traditional viewing platforms and habits.
And again, first season, so they can hope for the audience to increase, and production costs won't start to be a serious problem for a while.
The problem is, CW is a commercial-supported broadcast network. Basically, a dinosaur. Eventually, they may all go extinct. Axing shows that aren't bringing in enough viewers is their way of delaying the inevitable. But they want younger viewers, and they need some scripted programming to be credible.
GK could go to HBO Max or some other streaming service. But they'd have to arrange for funding. CW is paying most of the tab now.
It really is impossible to know how this turns out, or even how long it will take to get a definitive answer. Anyway, there's like five eps left. Also, I haven't even seen the entire pilot yet. :)
Well if Gotham Knights does get cancelled I’m praying that MAX (formerly known as HBOMAX) will bring the show back

Now I get it. Her rage later on, when she realizes Turner didn't get away, and he might die. She wants to save him. She can't believe the others don't want to be heroes this time, risk everything to save him, even though it's pointless.
Because saving him would be saving herself. She's still very self-centered, but when you fall for someone, whatever happens to that person happens to you. They die, part of you dies with them. She doesn't like it. It makes everything so much more complicated. It's not anything she planned for. Well, it basically never is. I know.

@@valentinmedina3020 Well, I just like it. I loved a show called Lodge 49. That was lucky to last two seasons. Far better-written than Gotham Knights. I understand, a lot of fanboys are trashing GK because of the Your Bat is Dead thing, and other stuff. The core cast is four girls, one trans-guy, and one straight guy played by a gay actor who is standing in for Batman and isn't exactly bulging with muscle. Tough sell to your average comics nerd. Well fuck comics nerds. All they talk about all day long is which fictional being would win in a fight. Not any of them, tell ya that. ;)
