Thanks Honest! I highly recommend Overwatch. The feel great. I'd love to try the Agency Arms trigger. I've heard great things. Not familiar with Rocket connectors. More stuff to investigate! Cheers brother
Hello from Wichita. I put the NP3'D Overwatch Precision Tac Trigger assembly and safety plunger in my 43X about three years ago. I love the way it feels, and much easier for my short finger to access. The NP3 really makes a smooth trigger pull. I like it so much, that I recently replaced the Agency Arm's trigger assembly in my Gen 3 19 with the same setup from OP. It's nice to be retired, so I can do these upgrades to my Glocks. Take care.
I have similar experience. The OEM Glock 43X trigger tended to irritate the pad of my finger. I purchased the Apex Thin Blue Line trigger first and it was really nice, but still noticed a slight irritation of the finger pad. Next I purchased the Overwatch PolyDat trigger and found it to be really smooth with Ghost connector; no pad irritation. It was half the price of the Apex, but clearly better for me.
You need to swap that zev connector for the minus one that came with the apex and also the safety plunger as odd as it is makes a night and day difference in how the apex works.. I installed mine three times adding each part one by one for comparison. Trigger plus bar is night and day vs trigger bar and plunger. It’s the best kit imop hands down especially for daily carry cause it retains all the factory springs which is where things can start getting iffy. It’s really amazing just how much the plunger smooths out the entire pull and break.
Great suggestion John! Always good to experiment with different combinations to see what works best. I agree that a smooth plunger makes a huge difference. Thank you and cheers!
Wow thanks for the reply to an old video! Most people stop responding after a week or maybe two. I was mostly trying to add a comment for others who find this video later as I have. Glad I’ve subbed to your channel enjoy seeing more video from you.
One more thing... I know everyone likes to do ghost connectors to improve the pull for edc or real defense guns. My advice from what I’ve recently learned... (I even spent today tearing apart about 30 different pistols and very closely examining them for exactly how they work and where things can be improved) the plunger is hands down the biggest improvement on a glock as well as most striker fired guns. In fact id say all American made striker guns. The European ones have a completely different way to release the striker which is why their triggers out the box are generally way smoother with a very crisp break. Anyone looking to make their factory American style striker trigger feel more like a sa/da in terms of pull and break crispness.... replace the plunger not the connector. The connector is secondary to the plunger. That grit you feel right before break is the trigger bar pressing on the plunger... simply polishing the bar contact area and plunger would achieve the same results as most $100+ trigger kits. Yes I know the glock isn’t America made but it is a design used by most American made striker guns and as such I’m including it in this category..
I installed the Apex 3.3 Pro Trigger kit in my 19 gen5 sf and I too found it to be exactly what you just showed, I also have the overwatch ordered and awaiting shipment. I am looking forward to a trigger that will match my EDC Sig 365 the dude has the very best Trigger out of every pistol I own and that is a bunch to say the least. There is zero take up also factory 3.5 trigger pull. The pull is consistent with other 365 as well because my son bought the very same model the same time I bought mine.
I had a overwatch awhile back and wasn’t that impressed. I recently installed the entire apex kit (trigger, bar, plunger, and connector) and I like it a lot better.
Installed my first and last Apex trigger on my Gen 4 Glock 29 years ago. Then OP came on the scene. Not only veteran owned (appealing to veterans like me), but also the best priced, best performing triggers on the market. Little to no take up, crisp break, and great reset, not to mention the NP3 coating. The matter eliminates the first thing I’d do with most triggers, that is, polishing. Yes, this is an opinion , but Apex did little to improve the stock Glock schlock trigger.
Great video! I would say both are solid options. But for Glock, it’s the Johnny Glocks combat trigger that is my absolute favorite by far. Any reviews coming?
Great video as always! I would suggest trying out the Innovative Gunfighter Solutions EDC Trigger. It's a great trigger that keeps all the safeties and is set to hit the wall immediately and then due to the design of the trigger it has almost no overtravel. Thanks for taking the time to do these videos, I really enjoy them.
Great information very good review...I really like the OverWatch Precision TAC trigger I have them in my G23, G26 and G43. I have the Kineti Tech Angled Flat Faced trigger in my G19 and it is a great option too for half the price.
I had got the Apex and the Overwatch Precision around the same time to see which one I wanted to keep and to me the Apex didnt even come close in the slightest to the Overwatch I mean it was night and day difference I gave the Apex to a buddy because while it is better than the OEM its just not nearly as good as the Overwatch Precision.
+elitemav I agree brother! Apex is good but the overwatch just glides so much easier. I think it's the np3 coating that helps. Thanks and cheers brother!
Hmmmm, I’ve got an OP TAC in my g17 and was thinking about the apex for my glock 19...I’m researching now and comments like this help! If I decide to go OP I’ll prolly go with the DAT this time around.
Another great video KSGunGuy! I have the Overwatch precision Falx trigger w/Ghost Edge 3.5 connector on my gen 4 Glock 17, its the model with the curved trigger shoe. It works well if you get more finger on the trigger like I do. I like that it comes with its own trigger bar with NP3 coating it makes it super slick. I also did some light polishing inside to smooth the action. I wanted my trigger to replicate a double action and this is exactly how it feels with no wall just a smooth pull, no mushiness and then a rolling break. All my springs are stock I didn't want to start messing with the reliability. Definitely a thumbs up to Overwatch Precision for making a quality product.
So many different triggers on the market today.Good to see so many companies with so many options. However, i would go nuts trying to find the right one. With the exception of my 9c upgraded to the apex, i'll stick with the stock triggers on my other firearms. Thanks for sharing KS.
Agree CWB! There are a ton of options for sure. I seem to gravitate towards Overwatch. They seem to have their stuff together, but at a premium. Thanks and cheers as always!
I install mine yesterday I like the feel of the shoe and the break the only gripe I have is when the trigger is lock all the way back it has play unlike the stock trigger might be a concern if you don’t know your gun is cocked or not
Mark if you want the best triggers that come stock on the gun ide look into hk vp9, sig p320, cz p10c like he mentioned and another good trigger, possibly the best stock trigger, would be the Walther ppq m2. Polymer pistols have come a long way over the years. I own a glock 19 Gen 4 but I've looked into all the guns I've mentioned in depth and they are all fantastic brands. Good luck with the hunt
As you know I have the APEX. I really like it but it is very expensive for what it is. Is it worth it ? It is if a you have the spare cash. It's not something I'd save for over something else. I think night sights is something someone should buy long before a trigger upgrade and more magazines. I do however like those front serrations. I'm considering sending mine out to get done. I just don't want to be without my G19 for a month or more. I'm not buying another G19 out of impulse like I did the G43 lol.
I was inspired by your Apex from a while back. Not a bad trigger at all. For whatever reason, it just doesn't feel as good to me. That's awesome about having your G19 done. Have you checked out the FS models at all? Cheers Wicked!
Thanks for the comparison video. I have no desire to have lighter springs or to setup a competition gun. I simply want to replace the horrible Glock shoe that digs into the pad of your finger. Would you say that the Apex is just as "safe" as the OEM Glock trigger. I've seen guys monkey too much with weights to the point where they ND on re-holstering (or the trigger activates on drop). Is your opinion that dropping the Apex (or Overwatch) in as an OEM replacement is sufficient? Thanks.
Apex triggers are heavily tested both at Apex and in the field. They are extremely reliable and work within the confines of the OEM specs. You'd be fine running with one. Thank you and cheers!
I’m damn scared! Had an aftermarket trigger put in my 43. First of all, the 43 is not for competitive shooting. So it is a conceal carry gun. My 43 in a holster fell from my crappy Walmart belt and discharged. Having gun returned to OEM. Will have to do a bunch of testing on an empty barrel to feel confident to carry this pistol. Maybe if I were shooting competitively with a Glock 17 only at a range would I consider another aftermarket trigger.
My advice would be to stick with reputable brands that don't bypass any internal safeties and have it installed by a professional. There are some "brands" that use non-OEM parts which can cause negligent discharges. Thank you and cheers!
KSGunGuy Doesn’t the zero take-up (pre-travel) of the overwatch triggers disengage the firing pin block (safety plunger)? I thought Glocks need that pre-travel to keep the safety engaged then disengaged.
i would like to know what the trigger pull is when you pull parallel to the gun’s barrel and not pulling 45 degrees from the barrel. i would guess the trigger pull would be lighter.
Sure are nice triggers. I'm too cheap to put any trigger in a Glock. I just tinker around with springs and connectors to get the best I can. Great review.
Thanks G17! To be honest, springs and a connector are the best way to refine a Glock trigger... a different trigger itself is early icing on an already good cake. Cheers!
Great question! You can get close but probably not excactly like the P10. It would be a combo of aftermarket springs, plunger, connector, and trigger. Thank you and cheers!
im looking at buying a 17 mos. have you had any issues with the mos systems when mounting an RMR? also i have an apex trigger on my other glock and i like it but i feel i get a better feeling. is the over watch thst much better?

by right screws do you mean the ones from trijicon mos kit they sell. also what do you think about the agency trigger? i have the apex and i dont like the break. i want more of a rolling break.
No the ones in the MOS kit are hit and miss, at least with Vortex and Burris. They might work with Trjicon but I'm not 100% sure. As for Agency, I haven't tried but you can get a rolling break with any Glock trigger by switching out the connector. You might try the Zev Tech Race Connector.
whats your opinion on swapping the trigger return spring and weaker safety plunger spring? is it worth it? when ever i mess with the striker i get light primer strikes. also i meant that trijicon sells a rmr sealing plate with the screws specifically for the MOS. You should make a video comparing the triggers with different springs!
That's a great question D! To be honest, I'd recommend a connector and spring kit. That's the best and most cost effective way to refine a Glock trigger. Cheers!
@KSGunGuy Awesome Video! I also shoot with a lot of finger on trigger I shoot with my First knuckle Do u recommend curved or flat for a lot of finger on trigger? Thanks in advance
Thank you very much! Generally flat triggers do well but I find it's more about the length between the trigger and back of the frame. I seem to be more finicky when it comes to subcompacts and single stacks since my fingers are long. The really heavy curved triggers are also more of a challenge (like many CZs). Apex triggers seem to really fit me well. Hope that helps! Cheers

My understanding is that no, it's not illegal but changing the trigger components from stock may leave you vulnerable to a civil suit if you shoot someone. It's a highly debated subject and I recommend researching legal cases near you. Cheers!
Thanks for the question Brad! There are so many good options out there, it's tough to make a list but some of my current favorites are the Glock 19, Smith and wesson 2.0c, CZ P-10c, and Sig Sauer P320 X Carry. I know that's not 5 but it's a start. Cheers!
Oh how you've changed. Lol. This video just popped up on my watch list so excuse the year and a half late comment. I'm pretty sure you put the Apex in almost everything now a days.
Nice review, however when showing the trigger pull don't pull through at the first wall like you did. Glock triggers have lots of creep so pulling through doesn't show all that. You have to slowly pull the trigger to show how bad they are.
Horrible to compare triggers in a glock. Do this same test in something that has true take up, wall and break not a stress ball trigger with a tooth pick to break in the middle somewhere. Try a m&p with apex vs over watch. Glock ruins the trigger feel due to piss poor engineering.
Great Video, I'll have to try the Overwatch. I personally like the Agency Arms, SSVI, and Zev. I also really like the Rocket connectors.
Thanks Honest! I highly recommend Overwatch. The feel great. I'd love to try the Agency Arms trigger. I've heard great things. Not familiar with Rocket connectors. More stuff to investigate! Cheers brother
Honest Outlaw Reviews I haven't use the rocket connectors, but I have used the edge 3.5 and I liked them a lot.

How does the Overwatch trigger reduce the take up? Is the trigger bar moved back, and therefore defeating the safeties?
It's all in the shoe. Thank you and cheers!
How does a 2 lb connecter give a 4.6 lb pull?
The connector isn't the only spring in the assembly.
great video. would you trust the apex with your life?
A good idea for the channel would be to try a Johnny Glock trigger and let us know what you think.
Great Stuff Brother! Carry On!
Thank you Big J!
What grease is that in the background? What parts do you use it on?
It's Gorilla Grease. I use that on internal parts like trigger components that get a lot of wear. Thank you and cheers!
Good info especially since I'm new to glocks thank you brother
Thank you TMT! That's awesome brother. I look forward to some vids on them from you. Cheers!
I switched over to the Agency Arms Flat Face Trigger and have no regrets and no blistered finger.
Odd question. What Glock trigger combo will make the break feel close to that of a P10c?
Great question! You can get close but probably not excactly like the P10. It would be a combo of aftermarket springs, plunger, connector, and trigger. Thank you and cheers!

Flat face is game changing
And, at least in my OP TAC, the takeup/pretravel is dramatically reduced.

Actually, the wall is the firing pin safety and as you push through it, the safety is rising into its recess in the slide.

I have the shoe and bar, not sure what the kit has in it. I do recommend the trigger... it's fantastic. Thank you and cheers!
Good stuff bro!
Thank you very much Keith!
Nice review, however when showing the trigger pull don't pull through at the first wall like you did. Glock triggers have lots of creep so pulling through doesn't show all that. You have to slowly pull the trigger to show how bad they are.
Nice. I don't a Glock but good video.
Thank you Matteo! Cheers
There's the other 12 minutes....😉Keep em coming. 🖒
+Abaddon 12 lol. Thanks Abaddon!
I have multiple of both and Overwatch feels better.
Willy Pitty was it nice and easy to install?
Virgil Livingston yes very easy to instal, i have the overwatch tac on my glock 9 gen5
@@moistybar which overwatch trigger do you prefer, the flat or curved trigger shoe?
I have the Overwatch precision TAC trigger in my Glock 19 and my 43. Excellent trigger, Makes the Glocks more enjoyable to shoot for sure.
Awesome James! I agree, they do make the shooting experience more enjoyable. Thank you and cheers!
that green is awesome love it very austrian haha
I put both apex and overwatch trigger for my G45 and G43x.
Both are good trigger, but I like overwatch trigger more than apex, cause fell better.
Glad I found this.
Thanks InSight!
KSGunGuy I had been looking at the Apex and Overwatch for my G31. I just pulled the trigger 🤓
InSight Freedom that’s awesome!
Thevrolling break is distracting and causes shots to print low
Are you serious there is about a $10 difference in comparable packages from either one. I was literally just on there sites.
I did just see this video is 4 years old but....
"KIT15" will get you 15% off JG's triggers tomorrow on Black Friday. No, I am not affiliated.
Horrible to compare triggers in a glock. Do this same test in something that has true take up, wall and break not a stress ball trigger with a tooth pick to break in the middle somewhere. Try a m&p with apex vs over watch. Glock ruins the trigger feel due to piss poor engineering.
