I totally understand Sarah.. In Osaka there was a place selling ice cream sandwich made of a whole full size melon pan and a slab of ice cream about 1 inch thick. Every time I went by the place I was already too full to get one and in the end never got to try it... Years later I still have regrets about that ice cream melon pan that could have been 😔

I’m not kidding, the entire reason I clicked the video was to see the melonpan (my favorite thing in Asakusa), and then when you said you were going to get some I was so excited! I can’t believe they were closed!!! So sad! Make a follow up and go straight there!

I feel ur pain. I had the most amazing fresh melon pan from asakusa a few years ago, and when I went to japan the 2nd time I wanted to have it again, but when I went to find the store it wasn't there anymore! Not sure what happened but my heart broke into a million pieces. Thank goodness for Alex and Emma
My girlfriend and I hung out with the tekiya all day and had amazing adventures. Best memories

When we visited Asakusa we had okonomiyaki (had missed it in Osaka) and mitarashi dango. When we go back 🤞 I want to try daifuku and the kiba dango. I've heard there are really good tempura places in Asakusa too.

When I went there in 2016, there was a cute and tiny European-styled cafe run by an older couple off the beaten path. My group found it by chance. We went in winter so it was a great little place to warm up since it was so cozy. Sometimes I wonder if it’s still there.
This trio format is (and has been) so good! It's really enjoyable.

I ate pretty much everything I wanted to when I visited Japan, except monjayaki which really piqued my interest but sadly forgot to seek out a restaurant that serves it. Ate lots of okonomiyaki which is a pretty good consolation though!

I haven't had Ramune in years. I usually only got it in the past just for the fun of popping the marble in rather than the drink itself lol.
I also associate Dorayaki with Doraemon because if I remember correctly, I always see him eating that in the anime and I believe that is one of his favorite food.

Made the mistake of walking while eating my melon pan at Asakusa. I just zoned out after paying. Suffice to say, I did get a few stares before realising what I’ve done.
