do the american adventure labs fit on the sport fenders? their website says that it does not.. I think the rubicon fenders that they're made for are wider than sports.
Your right , Last time i checked it it says no and they only make them for the rubicon , couple other companies makes this style as well maybe they make them for the sport but i haven’t check
Hi ! I just purchased the item from amazon link that you posted, I’m excited for this project. I saw that you removed the inner fenders and then took off the fenders to trim/cut the plastic part. do you think it’s possible to trim/cut the fender while the fender is still on the car after you remove the inner fender? And how do you connect the wiring ...?
Jiwoong Christopher Chang i don’t think you can because you will hit the grill by the turn signal when cutting the last part of the fender , and for the wiring i have the sport that comes with 3 wires (black, white and brown, white and green) you can see in the video the at 10:38 how i connected them , i just cut the original harness maybe 2 inches or so from the turn signal .
@@WranglerAddiction I got my part and noticed that the LED strip part is very long, did you happen to cut the LED part to make it fit for the fender length? Also, im confused about the wiring.
Jiwoong Christopher Chang yes if you look at it , is shows where you can cut it and take the end cap and put back on , did you watch the part of the video where i showed how to connect them?
@@WranglerAddiction so i can cut to whatever it needs and put back the end cap? and yes! I am figuring out if i need the electrical tape and how the wiring works
Jiwoong Christopher Chang so make sure you cut it where it’a marked , first place it on the fender to see where to cut , you might have a little extra just tuck it between the grill and the fender , take the cap off the end that you cut , put little bit of glue on it and reinstall it.
Wrangler Addiction thanks. It’s been in the plans for a while now. I’m eventually going to do a jl grill conversion and I need the turn signals to be on the fenders.
You mentioned something about cutting off something under fender, it was at night so couldn't really see..can you take a shot of it? Also, where did you trim the splash shield? Great Job
Hey , i trimmed the inner fender close to the bolt where you mount them so that way i can keep my engine protected a little bit and looks cleaner . Thank you for watching
Hey i ran those for couple month and ended up getting rubicon fenders , i had no issues when i had them on , i’m not sure if i’ll install them on the rubicon fenders , i might install a fenders delete kit .
@@WranglerAddiction it's because water gets in it. I know cause it was either after washing or raining that it would do it. I was wandering how yours were still holding up.
Yeah it should , mine doesn’t have auto light option so i have to turn it to day time running light manualy. , but i’m pretty sure it will works you just have to connect the right wires . I know a guy did it and it worked .
Johnathon Smith i got some black very small zip ties , you can’t really see them , that was the only way because the 3M tape is not good enough to hold them.
Johnathon Smith you can find them anywhere , walmart/auto zone , etc , any small black zip ties , i’m gonna leave u a link for some on amazon , www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Assorted-Self-Locking-12-Inch/dp/B00L2LGMO4?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_5
Hi bro just im wondering is still working well or you had to change led strips after a while..well done anyways your video was a smart idea..thanx for sharing it
med hamond hey i had them on for about 2 month without any issues then i changed my feners because i found some rubicon fenders so tbh i’m not sure how long they last lol , thank you for watching buddy 🤟🤟
“….not the cleanest but looks good”. Coming from the guy with the vape. It really doesn’t and there’s a reason why Rugged Ridge, Bushwacker and AAL do a lot to make theirs ridged and incl metal brackets bc even though 3M is a great company, they will fall off after being exposed to heat, water and salt.
Did you have a turn signal light out warning?
Nice video, looks sweet. I have the plastic fenders and halogen drl's on my Willy's and now I have the confidence to go chop mine out lol
I dig it. I think that they came out really well
Dustin Gibson thank you buddy , you should see them in person at night they look amazing , thank you for watching 🤟
Turned out really good
Thank you 🤟🤟
From a distance it looks good
I agree , not the cleanest but it’s alright lol
just what I thought for my jeep. Great!
Marco Ortega it’s simple and it works lol , thnx for watching 🤟
You got down man. It looks clean!
chonslave thnx brotha , yeah i really like that look especialy at night .
So no bracket at the front of the fender where the light is?
Great Job! ... Thanks for the video...

I’m planing to do this to my jk tomorrow. I haven’t seen anyone do it to this generation hopefully it comes out good 😅
Nice , just take your time and make clean cuts and i'm sure it will look cool 👍

Are you still running these on your wrangler? Didn't see an update video with how they are now. Much appreciated

@@WranglerAddiction i took a look today into the place you mention in the video, they're on back order. Thanks again!
Do you think that doing this cutting of the fenders will give enough room for 33" wheels so that a lift kit is unnecessary?
Erick Diaz with the sport and sahara fended yeah that will give you enough room to run 33s
You might even be able to run without trimming
That's nice man.
Sleeba Thomas thank you 🤟
What kind of front bumper is that, if you don’t mind linking it? Thanks!
00ninja00 hi this is the redrock stubby bumper i have a video installing it , you can find it on extremeterrain.com 🤟
How many marks are there to cut the strip? Would it be something like every half inch or so?
Yeah about an inch in between them .
Looks awesome. Good install.
JEEP GENERATION thnx buddy 🤟

Very nice bro. How did you secure the fender back on? Did you make some kind of bracket to make it more secured?
Floren Cristobal i reused the two top bolts , still the same as stock , thnx for watching 🤟🤟
Wrangler Addiction oh ok. Thanks bro. Keep the DIY’s coming.
Floren Cristobal thnx bro i will 👍
How’s the dual rate springs holding up?
Tyler Jones amazing i can’t be any happier.
Yeah I've done this twice and the light end up just flickering between the two colors..
