West Glens Falls Fire Tanker 410: 1994 Ford/KME (x5) (Hi-Lo Siren!)

Wilton Fire Engine Tanker 722: 2009 Pierce Velocity (x3)
Gansevoort Fire Engine Tanker 244: 2001 Freightliner FL80/Marion (x2)
Something just screams volunteer fire department if you have an old ford, GMC, or international engine/tanker/ET with a code 3 vcon electronic siren. Seems to be quite common amongst the volunteer departments from that time
They very well be old
But as you see for yourself
They still remain doin damn good in service.
I rather see one of them than I would a lot of these new one's now days
Do to the fact
I've seen so many break down really rather easy
So many turn overs/jack knife
I mean yes the trucks are built good now days
But in my personal opinion and view
They can't compare to the ones we just viewed
Those were built extremely tough and to last for a very very long time and they've obviously proved it.
Here it is 2019
And they are still going Lean and mean.
Going strong 💪 to last Long
cook problem with any truck is as they age they become outdated. The emergency equipment used like the lights, the types of equipment being used etc. Its a lot harder to adapt an old truck to fit all the modern equipment. Dont get me wrong, I love these old trucks too. We have a few in service at my station, but I know the modern trucks are made to meet the modern demands of fire/ems/rescue.
Looks like that one tanker got quite "excited" by the hose sticking out :)
Lmao good one
Lol 😂
XD
I love the old siren on the tanker @1:12 and the old lights as well
Do you know what siren it is?
Love watching tanker runs. Lifeline of every fire when theres no other water source
I’m confused... in which direction is actually the fire??
Amazing video!! Really like the units in this video!
should have considered some traffic direction at this intersection
Great catch,thanks for sharing
Great catches!
Some great catches here!
Thanks brother!
Tanker 410 has my vote!!
Great video!
Hi Friend , thanks for the upload ! 👍😊🇺🇸
They must be pumping a lot of water for that manny tankers
Firefighters were hindered by a lack of water, as there are no hydrants in the area. They ran out of water at one point before more tankers could arrive, which allowed the fire to spread after it appeared to have been knocked down.
owl's lady that what I was thinking went I saw it I’m fortunate not had it happen to me yet because I’m a volunteer fire fighter also
They did awesome job.
owl's lady yep they did
Yes
Tanker 410 is my favorite our town had an engine on the Ford Louisville chassis
Nice video!
Probably your coolest video ever! Awesome fuckin job man!
How big was that structure fire to require that much water?
Cool video
I enjoy watching tanker relay videos. And in New York State -- even better. Also impressive was how well 4-wheeler drivers got out of the way properly -- vfd flaggers at that intersection weren't even needed, fortunately.
Amazing video!! Love the horn usages!
You c
Guys won't remember this the station air raid would go off to call in the crew that would tell them where can to go also all barns had. Numbers assigned to them
Love the ford she sounds great
I love the old "Federal Siren" on some of these fire rigs You can't hear those, you can't hear anything.
712 and 244, any idea on the capacity of the tanks?
I tried searching fire.wiki, but only name/model, no specs.
fire.fandom.com/
the siren on the Fort Edward tanker sounds straight out of the 1980s, probably the original siren from when it was delivered to the department. not something you see every day
Gansevoort, fort edward and west glenns falls have the old sirens, love the detroit on Gansevoort engine tanker
Sounds like an old SVP SA-300
So were they running back and forward?
The engines/pumpers are going toward the fire, and the tankers are leaving to go get more water to supply the engines/pumpers.
This is what is called a tanker shuttle operation. Tankers draft from a body of water and shuttle it to the scene.
The tankers setup a drop tank on the ground, think portable above ground pool. The pumpers pull water from the drop tank and pump it through the hoses. Once a tanker drops off water, it leaves to get more and that cycle repeats until the fire is out. There aren’t a lot of hydrants in rural areas.
Where was eta 601 not hauling water
Christ, how many water tenders and tankers do you need on one working structure? Either the same rigs were filmed over-and-over, or there must have been about 250,000 gallons brought to one fire.
Right???
If it was my building I'd be grateful for every gallon and every truck and fireman responding.
It was all the same rigs at the beginning as it was at the end. The tankers were doing a shuttle going to and from the fill site.
You know what they always say. It's better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it👍
What is with all the tankers
Hauling water into the scene, all the trucks in this video are just constantly hauling water to the scene minus a couple responding engines
all those tankers must not have hydrants in the area
My town!
We’re they going to the other side?
thumbs up !! sure hope no one got hurt......thank you to our brave firefighters !!!!

The comments on lights are but choice one of the old ones would have a werlygig on the front also A bell would sound at crossroads take the time to look at the pics pop loved his whopee
The Hudson River is at the end of Clark rd why didn't they pump out of the river a lot safer and easier
It’s hard on pumps because it’s not clean water
Time to upgrade some of those strobe bars.
Zemuron Man if u want to pay for everything then that is ok for them
adam dykens You’re an idiot.
Did you think of that all by yourself? Aw how cute....
@@Gatorflyer Nice one kid.
I'm sure they would be more than happy to accept any donations you may want to offer.
Were they going to fill up
Yep. Going to and from the fill site to the fire. Thanks for watching!
Why did they go back the way they came
they are part of a tanker shuttle so they keep leaving the scene to get more water from a nearby water source and bring it back to the fire
So where's the fire??
About a quarter mile from where I was standing, they're going to and from a fill site in this video. Here's the fire: ruclips.net/video/L0MZj42_-Mw/видео.html
Shain that was the fire cops job they had the power to go after your wallet and they would
👍👍👍👍👍💖💖💖💖💖
They should have had at least a traffic officer there to keep things running more smoother.
I agree
Scotty u dun gud,,,,,
ruclips.net/video/6xVfCmgyfbg/видео.html
Polish siren ist similar 😊
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT WHITE SEDAN DOING IN THE LAST VIDEO?
Not sure... thanks for watching!
Being a jackass
You can see the driver of the tanker wave the white sedan to go.
Oh. I guess they were sticking out too far.
@@jazzbutterworth Probably.
And it still burned to the ground.
- hoarder house and yard
- major water issues
- 90 degree day
I want you to fight a fire in these conditions and tell me how you do
@ 4:27.. that tanker blasting thru that intersection so many times.. believe I'd yank that crew out and retrain them what due regard is.
Don't see anything wrong with what they did
Cut out repeat shots....you've got 13 seconds
John Cote there’s no “repeat shots”
this is a tanker shuttle, the trucks are repeatedly driving to the scene dumping water into portable tanks and returning to the water source to be refilled. its a repeating proccess. as the video owner/uploader stted, these are all seperate "shots"
